As above...nothing described is illegal. I enjoy target and skeet shooting as much as anyone you will meet. Just because someone likes to shoot does not make them an idiot or mean they are 'wasting' ammo. Just as some move to the country for the 'quiet' some move to have more freedom as to what they can do on their land.

Question for those in the know about the law...
Ugadawgs98 replied to subby1's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Hopefully this will clear up some of the confusion on this topic. You are required to keep a copy of your insurance card in your vehicle but the card is no longer proof of coverage in itself. The change in the law that is most commonly misinterpreted was the elimination of the requirement for the driver to furnish paperwork when the state data base shows valid insurance. All that means is you will not be cited for no proof if you do not have a card as long as the state system shows the insurance is valid. Keeping the card in the car serves two important purposes. One, it has importan -
Unless you can provide a name and DOB it is really hard for them to check.

Question for those in the know about the law...

Yup...you are good as long as the system is working and the insurance company enters it correctly. It is not a good situation when you have insurance and have no way of proving it if there is a discrepancy. -
Question for those in the know about the law...

Not completely true Subby. I think the insurance companies put this out to save on their mailing fees. You always need proof of insurance in your vehicle. The law only gives an exemption when the state data base shows valid insurance. The issue is, just like any other system, it does not work 100% of the time. There are also errors that can be made on the insurance companies part which will give errors. The last issue is the state computer does not show the policy number which is needed if you are in a wreck. -
Its like playing the lottery. Some will have very few issues and some will have crazy electronic issues that can never be isolated and repaired.

I do not agree....it ranks at the top. The population counts and densities determined by the census directly impacts the amount of representation a given area has in the government. It is a monumental task to try to count 300+ million people and pinpoint their location on a map.
-
The reason they have to take these rather mundane steps is because the mindset of much of the population these days. People have lost sight of the importance in the processes that makes our Republic great. Completing the Census to ensure they have adequate representation is not important to them because they do not vote.

The same people who fought industry 25 years ago are still fighting it now. They think that will keep the area rural. They fail to realize you cannot stop growth in a metro area. If you do not work to get the business base you end up with a bedroom community with no jobs and high taxes.

It is not like the intercom function is hard to figure out. It is usually labeled on a button.

That proposal was for a large airport with multiple runways which would function like Hartsfield. This is not even remotely close to that.

See...I think it is our money. If they want to take that gift it should be for a limited time and subject to restrictions. Kids should not be living with junkies. It just continues the cycle.

Nope...but they do load their groceries in the same parking lot though.
-
Because I have been in line behind them at the grocery store.

He is simply applying common sense since it is a state roadway. The state has began adding crosswalks to all intersections for some time now. You can have pedestrian traffic even if there are no sidewalks.

You will never make everyone happy. The 'not in my backyard' argument has no boundaries.

The 'refunds' being spoken of are in amounts well above the total amount the person paid in (Fed, SS, Medi). It is free money.

.............

The EITC is nothing but wealth redistribution. Many folks pay under $1k in taxes throughout the year yet they get a $5k 'refund'. Complete BS which should not be allowed. Refunding all their tax money and giving them a free ride is one thing....giving them other peoples tax money under the guise of a refund is another.

That is what make it appealing. Quick access to North/South Interstate and quick access to East/West Interstate while bypassing the gridlock of the perimeter.

I saw nothing wrong with the form. Everything it asked for is already public record. If people do not fill them out correctly it messes up our represenation in the government.

If we could land some large companies it would be a blessing for this county. We desperatly need a business tax base and some new employment opportunities inside the county. The airport is the best chance for that, if not we will be strictly a bedroom community.

This is not even remotely close to the same thing that was proposed years ago. The reason 'Northwest Atlanta' is in the name is to identify the region.
-
That is a very good deal...ordered a few. Thanks.

I disagree with that. In my experience it is harder to disprove that the animal was not acting in a manner which would make someone belive they were about to be injured, especially when there are no independant witnesses. The animal cruelty statute has a specific exemption when it comes to aggressive animals.
