This is a reminder that there will be a Veterans Day Service at the War Memorial in Dallas at 11:00 on Veterans Day, November 11th. The War Memorial is located on Confederate Avn. [ Hwy 61 North past the old courthouse] 1st turn to the right as if you are going to Jeff Eberharts Funeral Home. After the Service there will be free hotdogs, chips and cokes provided by Beulah Lodge 698 F&AM. Looking forward to seeing you there.

What Yorkville really needs, is it's own post office.

If you don't like what a politician is doing, then run against him yourself or support those who will run against him. Don't tell me your vote doesn't count, I have seen elections for local offices here in Paulding county decided by only 4 votes. In this years Republican primary, the commissioners who always supported the chairman were defeated. That, not boycotts, is true democracy in action.

I had all my cancer treatments at WellStar both in Paulding and at Cobb General, three operations radiation and chemo. I have nothing but praise for WellStar. WellStar beats the holy hell out of VA.

The South was screwed by the railroad tariff act enacted after Mr Lincoln's War, that were designed to prevent the South from having any industry that might compete with the North, so that the South would stay a economic colony of the North. The Interstate Hwy system finaly allowed the South to make a economic recovery. The Railroad tariff act was finnaly overturned by Jimmy Carter when he was President. if you try to force more shipping by rail the Railroad companies will just raise their rates making your goods more expensive.

I went Friday and to me it seemed that the guns and ammo were overpriced. I could actually buy my .45 cal ammo cheaper at the range at the gun club.

Capital punishment is indeed a deterent, once they have been executed, I am positive that they will never commit another crime like that again.

I have never had a bad problem with The PC Hospital in the 50 years I have been going to it. When I was about three I even taken to the old wooden Dallas Hospital that was on Main Street. I have watched the hospital grow from a small one story building to the now new hospital in Hiram. I would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and other people that have worked there in the last 50 years.

On Memorial Day, I will be at the War Memorial at Dallas at 11:00 Am for the Memorial Service. In a county with a population of about 135000, it is really sad to see only about less then 100 there. I serviced, so I will be there for those that did make it back, for my classmates at Dallas High whose names are on that Memorial, for my fathers friends whose names are on the sections for WWII and Korea. I WILL BE THERE, WHERE WILL YOU BE?

The term main street media refers to ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN,MSNBC, COX Enterpises [they own the AJC and other newspapers] and most of the newspapers in other major cities like the New York Times and the Washington Post. They are all very liberal, but according to Pubby, they are completely balanced by the Washington Times and the Fox Network on the concervative side.
