  1. Why sign...just don't buy Apple products? FIRE Apple ...THEN they will get the message. Money talks. It seems that Steve/Apple have people in a trance as if there is no other phone available in the market, as if it is the only phone worthy of purchase?
  2. Ironic isn't it? We are waiting on Mexico to "make it better" ...seems like we should take a strong stance with our own trained military. They could protect our border, which would then protect our citizens, as well as make it a secure border. But I am sure if I advocate that . . . am a racist. We have become the world’s police force… often against their own corrupt governments . . . without due compensation. It’s time to stop.
  3. I don’t think it has anything to do with the Big Box stores. Transportation (fuel costs) have added about a buck to all items now, it seems. No matter what store I shop in I notice what once was $1.89 now will be $2.91. What used to be $5.89, will now be $6.99. I think much of the price increases are tied to what fuel costs the farmer, the processor, and the transportation company. Add to that we grind up corn to make ethanol … corn products have risen. Farmers must pay more for the grain to feed their animals. So milk, meat, eggs, etcetera cost more. Coffee has a wh

To you these violent carjacking are the same as racial bigotry? You understand each of these, except the 4th one, the carjackers shot people? (1)...in metro Atlanta, armed bandits robbed a couple on a Decatur street, shooting the woman, beating the man and stealing their truck, police said. (2)The latest incident happened about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on the 300 block of North McDonough Street, police said. The attackers struck the man several times and shot the woman once in the lower abdomen, then drove off in the couple's truck, police said. (3)Friday, DeKalb County police arrested
  5. I would pull down all of the "sagging" pants of the "Cap for Brains" I see if I did not think I would be arrested!!!!!
  6. One fad that can't end soon enough.
  7. Lots of rain and wind, then hail. I'm grateful for the rain...but I hope it did not wash off the weed and feed I put down!
  8. World of Coke ...of course CNN Atlanta Cyclorama & Civil War Museum The Cyclorama is a unique look at the history of "The Battle of Atlanta", the 360 degree painting itself is very rare. I had never heard of these before I moved here. http://roadsidegeorgia.com/site/cyclorama.html http://www.webguide.com/cyclorama.html A cyclorama is a panoramic painting on the inside of a cylindrical platform, designed to provide a viewer standing in the middle of the cylinder with a 360° view of the painting. The intended effect is to make a viewer, surrounded by the panorami
  9. We are currently living between two ice ages in what is called an interglacial warm period (Holocene) and we are nearing the end of it, so enjoy while it lasts. It could change within a short period of time dropping us into a new ice age. Currently sun spots have been absent, and many think we could go into a 20 to 30 year cold period similar to the "Marauder minimum." The Marauder minimum was during 1645 to 1715 and the Earth experienced a mini ice age with nary a Sunspot to be seen. Look it up...our last two winters resemble this period. The climate on this planet has
  10. I'm at 92 and 120... and it FINALLY rained!!!! Happy dance!!! Right now the rain gauge is just below the 1/2 inch mark. Hubby had just finished mowing the grass before the first little cloud rained on us. It did not even measure in my gauge...but the grass likes a little drink after a cut - so it was good !!!! Then we had another cloud come, and big drops came down for several minutes!!!!! These storms keep skirting around Paulding ...so frustrating!
  11. Usually that type of employee is on salary. If they are not on salary ...the company better have a system in place for payroll to comp them for the additional work they did at home. Otherwise the company is in trouble.
  12. Sounds exactly like PanVet's company... With changes in technology come new areas that must be agreed on in the work place. Osman & Smay LLP is currently investigating potential claims on behalf of call center employees. Call center employees are often required to work significant hours and may not be paid for all hours worked. Many call centers utilize computer systems requiring call center employees to clock-in to time-keeping software to begin tracking the number of hours worked. As a result, these call center employees may not be paid for the time it takes to turn on and off th
  13. Quit bragging...it's making the rest of us sad!!!! Looks like it is leaving my area and going south, alas no rain for us. Glad someone is getting rain ...things are getting brown around town.
  14. If it is a salary position you would need to get there set up be ready to "start" when the calls need to be answered at 8:00 AM, for instance. If you are hourly and they want you to start answering the phones at 8:00 AM with clients, they need to schedule you on the clock at 7:50 to give you the 10 minutes to log in if that is what it takes to be prepared for the first call. The call center I worked in all you did was sit down and log in, the mainframe was not turned off, it did not take 20 seconds. We could not clock in more than 5 minutes early, and you did not go to your workst
  15. If this becomes our reality....invest in Windex!
  16. Yep ... I had that virus last summer and it messed me up. I ran the computer virus scan after I turned my computer back on and it was fine.

  18. Why wasn't she there yesterday ... there were twice the amount of things! I was there yesterday and today ... each time I was the only one who looked!!!! Today there was less, so it was easier to see... but still nothing we needed. Glad found some bargains!
  19. That is why you are in school...to expand your knowledge! I bet forever you will remember the difference ...had she not goofed up with the "Swede" and "Swiss" thing you might have never mentally thought about the differences! Have fun with the project.
  20. Very cool web site... I had no idea something like that was available.
  21. ZERO ...I hate weather over about 76 degrees... or under about 63!
  22. You don't have to buy it... Soros did buy 897,813 shares...and I agree that he is in the pockets of ANY politician that he needs to influence. He is a very wealthy guy and can influence favors all over the world. One interesting feature of the bill is a bunch of new regulations regarding seeds and seed cleaning that requires expensive equipment. Smaller concerns might not be able to handle the added burden, concentrating the handling of seed production in the hands of corporate giants like Monsanto. Monsanto has been a dog of a stock for a while, continually disappointing investo
