  1. I haven't read that. Everything I've seen says they retired to there from NJ 10-12 years ago and that he had a number of fast food restaurants. I did a search and found much more information in other places (duh). They do have children and grandchildren. The man was apparently decapitated after he was killed. No information in their background that suggests something like this. So, I'm back to grandkid on drugs and couldn't bring himself to kill grandma. Or a mafia hit meant to send a message to one of their kids.
  2. At this point I almost hope she's not found alive. Ye gods.
  3. OK, now this has gone from bizarro to creepy. As in Russian mob creepy or something of that nature. Thanks!
  4. Me, neither, RM. The AJC has a bigger story behind their pay wall but I ain't payin' to read it. My first thought was grandkid high on meth or something. Evil.
  5. Y'all been following this bizarro story out of Reynolds Plantation? Chi chi gated community within RP, 88yo man decapitated, head not found, 87yo wife kidnapped, no forced entry, no signs of struggle. Oh - surveillance cameras in the neighborhood weren't working. Bet they are now. Police baffled by Lake Oconee mans death, missing wife http://www.ajc.com/news/news/lake-oconee-man-killed-87-year-old-wife-possibly-k/nfqqR/?nmredir=true
  6. So the hot dog restaurant at Crossroads where Martino's used to be appears to be closed. If so, not surprised. Very odd menu (seemed regional like maybe upper midwest)...they didn't even have chili for their hot dogs. We ate there once and I was underwhelmed, to say the least. I always hate to see businesses close.
  7. Ain't no lotion gonna help that mess. MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!!
  8. I love him. Never heard of him, but I love him. Woo hoo!!!
  9. Lurve!!! Who did you wind up going with? And if I didn't make myself clear - LLLLUUUURRRRVVVVEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Lucky is now the resident pcom ornithologist. (For those of you in Rio Linda, she's the bird woman of pcom. )
  11. Great to hear. I don't live down there but I love hearing stuff like this.
  12. I would take the approach that they could install me a brand new fridge at their expense or my name - and theirs - would become a byword in bad customer service literature. Their choice.
  13. Great advice from you folks. The only other thing that occurred to me is for her to get affidavits from people like you attesting to her good character, and something from her doctor attesting to the infection/weird symptoms. Also, no mention of grandparents...they could be an excellent resource if they are around. As others have said, in less than 2 years she can do whatever she wants. I'd be tempted to tell DFCS if they think they can do better, have at it.
  14. Hmmm...that does give pause for thought. Perhaps Sports Source will weigh in since she has experience in these matters. And no help from father since you didn't mention it?
  15. Apparently there was a surfeit of excellent employees with the last name Agan. :snort:
  16. Woo hoo!!! :happydance:
  17. I have several thoughts about this, but shall keep most of them to myself. But those I will share include a) is a father of this child in the picture, and can he help; and 2) why is she afraid to go where deputies/DFCS are? They could come to her house to arrest her if they wanted to.
  18. Just one of the zillions of reasons we are twins.
