  1. I was just thinking that for those that drink, having a friend in the military would be a good idea - you can buy alcohol on military installations 7 days a week. As for me, personally, I won't be voting for Sunday sales, but that's not what this topic is about.
  2. How much for the little green trees with the angels? One of those would look great sitting in my office.
  3. You seriously went into those stores? On purpose? Wow, I don't know whether to be impressed or recommend a doctor.... Villa Rica reminds me of a flea market...
  4. Are those wooden Christmas trees on the table? How much?
  5. We either get movies from the box (Redbox or Blockbuster Boxes) or from Pay Per View.
  6. It's probably to bring over some of the Biggest Loser crowd to the show. Personally, I don't like that show (or Dr. Phil or Dr. Oz).
  7. It's been my experience that "good Mexican food" and "Paulding County" don't have anything in common!
  8. You're the parent, you make the decision. If you don't want your child to get his/her nose pierced, then say "no" and that's the end of it.
  9. It's a no-brainer - you have bad grades or disciplinary problems, you don't play sports. P.S. The princess (who is 4-1/2) is currently serving a two-week "suspension" from ballet because she brought a couple of notes home from pre-k about her behavior (she likes to talk more than she likes to listen). We warned her after the first note and when the second note came home, we sent an email to her ballet teacher and told her that we would see her in two weeks.
  10. They left off his service as a Doraville City Council Member and his former position as Secretary of Georgia Association of Latin Elected Officials - these are an important part of who Jason is, but perhaps they only had a limited amount of space in the article. Congrats Jason!!
  11. Yep, but they managed to keep it well hidden and, although dirt poor, they always managed to have food on the table - a small amount, but food no less.
  12. I had a great aunt that did a paper on our family history (that's how I found out that my ancestors were from Paulding Co). In it, she wrote about how our family in the Civil War would bury food and valuables to keep them hidden from the soldiers as they came through New Hope. And, interestingly, it got to the point that the food was on one side of the battlefield in New Hope and their house on the edge of the other side of the battlefield.
  13. I refuse to answer. I'm a Republican - if I say yes, I will be expected to contribute to democrats who aren't able to care for themselves. If I say no, the democrats will want to tax me at a higher rate to compensate for my food and the food of those that they expected me to support in the first place.
  14. It could be a multitude of things or it could be a bug - play it safe and call your doctor.
  15. What if you try soft, muted colors - a soft blue or pink? White can give a room a sanitized look sometimes so if the walls are white and the bed is white, you make get a room that is too bright. Also, what if you create a little reading area for her - somewhere she can go and just get away - maybe a day bed in a quiet room with lots of pillows or even just her own space in the corner of a family or living room where she can have some quiet time. I wouldn't do a TV in her bedroom, it may be too stimulating for her, especially at night. Either way, it's obvious you're doing a gr
  16. We walked to the one in midtown - today is a perfect day to sit outside and enjoy a burger and the midtown scenery.
  17. I enjoyed their bacon cheeseburger for lunch today. Yum!!!
  18. Actually, the Publix stores don't always have control over what they get. Yes, they get a list of what's on sale and what has a coupon on and they try to order (and re-order) accordingly. BUT, the stores only get what the warehouse sends them (regardless of what they order). So, they can't always control how many (if any) that they will receive so it's nice when couponers will show a little courtesy and not take 20 of something just because they can.
  19. Maybe because there are others out there that would like to use their coupons or that might want to buy some because they're on sale? You may get 20 for free, but what about the lady that gets there 5 minutes later that just wanted 1 or 2 or the person after her? My beef is that there is a lack of consideration among couponers - people want to get as many as they can possibly get their hands on at the expense of simple consideration. Again, I see the benefits of couponing, I use them. But until couponers actually start practicing the etiquette that many like to preach, couponing restric
  20. Stick with Five Guys. It apparently takes 5 guys to make a good burger because Bobby doesn't do a very good job...
  21. I don't like watching Extreme Couponing - these families are wasting money on crap. Do you really need 100 bottles of hot sauce? How about having more deodorant than you're family will ever use? Or, candy, bottled water, mustard, etc. It's nuts... At the Publix I shop at, there are women there as soon as they open the doors on Thursday morning ready to wipe out the shelves because they have their coupons. My Publix enforces limits, but these ladies come in teams. They buy as many of a product as they have coupons for and if there is a limit, they split up the order and the other pers
  22. We used them to replace our garage doors - they were awesome. They had the best price and great service.
  23. Well, welcome to the neighborhood! Hmmmm, a "hippie" theme and you're serving brownies... That alone will get you a lot of business!!
