This should have been a poll. Based on different inputs those for the tax is 25% and those against is 75%. The NO's have it. Case closed. I think if the SPLOST is voted down the ones herein for it must treat us for a cool brew and vice versa. (8 yes, 23 no)

That will never happen. You know, I know it and all (well most) of the voters know it. When a different Gov or legislature goes in they will dream of ways to get money from the electorate. Doesn't matter what party but it has happened ever four years. Why not add the projects from the T-SPLOST to our present SPLOST list. And when it expires the local politicians can push to continue it to get all the projects completed. Based on past P County operations the expansion or extension of the SPLOST will be brought up again when it expires. I would vote for that but not an additional tax. What k

Heard this one before. Now that sounds just like the Obama plan for his stimulous plan and jobs bill that flopped. Just spend a few dollars here and there and it will create jobs. Didn't happen and this SPLOST will create less than 10,000 jobs. The numbers you quote are like Obama talking about how many jobs HE has created. And for how long will this SPLOST last? A lot of road construction jobs will go to companies already doing road work (bet Matthews Construction will get most work here). I guess you will call that 'saving jobs'. Is there a statement in the plan to NOT hire illegals? That wo

There are a lot of projects, if actually chosen, that would help Paulding's traffic problems. One that is not on the list is Hwy 92 from hwy 278. Even with the Cleburne Pkwy there will still be congestion on this road. I heard that the widening was scheduled for 2015 but I guess that has changed. Johnny J and Pubby since you have all the facts how about providing us with who owns the land for the Dallas bypass. Wonder if any of our local politicians or those running for political office own any land. Surely you already know that answer. Biggest mistakes the regional transportation mad

GOT MY NEW BILL CARRUTH FLIER.......GUESS WHOSE
Dallas Bigfoot replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I agree 100%. When I get the same flier as you putting down Heath as an SOB I consider who is supporting the candidate. Being it's Pubby I consider the source. I believe that Curruth is a RINO pure and simple. Only a liberal democrat will try and slander their opponent and NOT say what they will do to improve the state. Pubby should be ashamed of putting his name on the disgusting flier. Nothing on it really states legislature done by Heath that hurt Georgia. And why is Pubby supporting a Republican in the primary when we all he is a die-hard liberal democrat? It just shows Curruth is a wolf/d -
OK the info sent me wasn’t exactly right but I looked at the link at Snopes and here is what it showed: “Although the annual premium rates aren’t officially set until they are announced each fall, Medicare administrators track trends and anticipated changes and use them to formulate projections of Medicare premiums for the next several years. According to the most recent report of system’s trustees, issued in May 2011, those projected premiums (as listed on page 218) are: • 2013: $110.50 • 2014: $115.80 • 2015: $120.80 • 2016: $126.00 • 2017: $132.70 • 2018: $140.30 • 2019: $148.

In the new Obama TAX care bill Medicare will go up. It's in the new TAX law: MEDICARE Look clearly at the 2014 rate compared to the 2013 rate. For those of you who are on Medicare, read the following. It's short, but important and you probably haven't heard about it in the mainstream news: "The per person Medicare insurance premium will increase from the present monthly fee of $96.40, rising to: $104.20 in 2012 $120.20 in 2013 and $247.00 in 2014." I hope all you liberals are happy with the new HOPE and CHANGE TAX TAX TAX and not a penalty.

Go to the next gun show in Cobb and you will run into a lot of survivalist. I would classify them as the type of survivalist like the ones in Oregon or Wasington state but more or less people who fear what will happen in the near future or want tt be ready to defend their property and protect their families. If it ends up like the depression you will have people breaking into your home for your food. You should always be ready for anything.

You can list first, second or third reasons gas is going down but markets, whether gas/oil or food IS CONTROLLED indirectly by our governmant. When that yoyo Obama comes out and makes statements about how he is going to RUN/RUIN our country in spite of what the constitution states it affects world markets. And, being an election year, world markets may or may not see the light at the end of the tunnel. In our case there will be no light if Obama is re-elected. Just darkness. And why are you not preaching that our government, Obama, should approve the pipeline and open drilling in Alaska, C

Where the White Man went wrong...

What the point? Suggest you just stick to making those goofy liberal comments about conservatives. That's funnier. -
I have yet to see anyone or Jeff says how he intends to transport corpuses. Is he going in partners with the other ambulance company owned by a real estate person? Is he going to use his funeral home hearse to transport them? Needs to be addressed. If, after an auto accident or other disaster and there are deceased, who will transport the deceased. Clark has the EMS contract with the county and they will be there. Will they have to wait for Jeff to send his hearse to pick up the deceased or will Clark have to take the deceased to Jeff FH?

American Disposal Service had a young man come through the sub last year. Wanting to make sure it was a Ga. company I asked the guy if it was and he said they were out of Dekalb. Signed up. Then I got the bill and they are out of VIRGINIA and NOT Ga. Called and cancelled. They said I signed up for a three year contract and I didn't notify them within 3 days so I HAD to pay or they would pursue legal action. Didn't get a bill for two weeks after signing so no way I knew they lied. I sent them a certified letter (copy to atty) and said they used false advertisement and lied about being a Ga comp

We had only one snake encounter last year. Chased it back into the wooded lot next door. When I described it I was told it was a common water snake. Round head. We have chipmunks, a couple of squirrels and a few rabbits so I guess that means we don't have big snakes......I hope. Our dogs are all over our back yard (small yard) and I think they would go bonkers if a snake came in the fenced in area. Saw a moccasin last year on the walk at the subdivision common area which is by a creek.

Senate 31 candidate Carruth residency challenged
Dallas Bigfoot replied to GreenEyedGirl's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Your writ is a cheap shot at Heath. If I were Heath I would pursue some action against you because it boarders on slander. But knowing how you think what else should we expect. Why don't you just hang a sign over your head that you support the 'good old boy system' in Paulding. Whether the documents are real or not you, being in the position you have, should withhold comments until proven factual or not. And of course if the documents are real do we expect you to recant? Absolutely not. You will probably come back with some other smear or nasty comment like you have in other races where your c -

Food Depot has opened a store at the corner of Hwy 61 and Hiram-Sudie where Food Lion was located. The boss wanted to check it out Friday. First thing I noticed was all the Hispanic vegetables which usually can be found at Harry's Market and not in any Hiram or Dalls store. They have an aisle with mostly Hispanic foods. Seems strange for this area. I asked one of the managers if they did a survey of PC before stocking because there aren't that many Hispanics in PC as it is in other counties. He said they stock all stores the same way but would chnage their stock as needed. Just mot into cactus

We have a salt system and this year the pump sounded like it was hung up (installed 6 yrs ago). Had guy from 'Pool Place' come out and took of the cover off the front and put a socket on drill motor and got it turning. Put back cover and pump started. Rust and salt residue can cause it to lock up. Try this before buying a new pump. Thanks to 'Pool Place' I don't have to buy a new pump. Their price if I had to replace it was a LOT cheaper than the other place on 92. Other place wanted to sell me a pump without checking it first. Both said pump would include the resevoir also. 'Pool Place' gives

ok.... How has David Austin saved us that much money?
Dallas Bigfoot replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Based on national financial conditions which affects PC David has done a great job. The BOC (all) had to make cuts so we could continue operating. Sure, things could be better but to change horses in mid stream before the economy has an upturn is not smart. Just because the opposition says he is "for the people" doesn't mean he is going to make it better. What do you suggest? Raise property taxes again? Raise fees again? He has done a great job managing county finances. The real question is when the economy starts getting better for PC will the BOC (all) support lowering the property tax rate? -
They also have great cajun shrimp and crawfish sometimes. I know what I'm having for lunch today. Bojangles is good but Popeyes is great.

Pubby: I'm pretty sure it was the arbitrary nature regarding appeals that was the thing that disturbed Judge Murphy and had him rectify the situation. I mean the SB essentially said that you had the right to free speech but if you say something we will kill you. The point being that due process is a right like speech and you can't put a sanction against the mere exercise of a right. And unlike a bully, mobster or terrorist, the school board and administration is restrained by the Constitution which guarantees the rights so contained. The issue of addressing the graduation was a privilege, n

If you think that the el presidento has no influence in the price of gas you are living in Oz. Every president has influenced gas prices when it gets closer to elections. It's all part of the game to win votes. I see some of you still believe this crap/lie. HEADINES: "Obama keeps promise to lower gas prics!" What about the geological study that recently found over a trillion barrels of oil in Colorado. That would mean no more sucking up to the Arabs. The media is not reporting it. Obama is keeping the oil pipeline from going through. He has kept oil companies from drilling in Alaska. H

Who do you buy a swimsuit for to look good, your husband, your male friend, other women's envy, or yourself? Be proud of what have and flaunt it. You won't have any complaints from males. Maybe we should have a Ms. P.com swimsuit contest.

I wonder if she is going to give him any potatoes with all that meat? I was breast feed until I was two but never got over it. BF is healthy for child as it helps build up antibodies from Mom. Biggest shock I had was on a flight back from Dallas to ATL a woman was BF in the same row as I and she made no attempt to hide it. Best flight I ever had.
