Amazon to start collecting sales tax in Georgia on Sept. 1

I hate any kind of taxes but this levels the playing field for our local retailers. This was the right thing to do IMO. -
I do not believe that Linksys is as good as it use to be. I have a 10 year old Linksys that I hacked and turned into a WiFi repeater that is still going strong. Give Netgear or D-Link a shot. I have found both of them to be reliable.

Start looking and keep in mind that you can afford to be picky since you currently have a job. The best time to find a new job is when you already have one.

Boeing 777 Crash Lands at San Francisco Airport

Agreed. Based on everything I have heard so far, I think the pilots are paying for this one unless there was a double engine failure. -

The area identified as belly fairings only makes the aircraft more aerodynamic where the wings join the fuselage. They are not primary structure and the aircraft can in theory fly without them. The structure underneath them is aluminum.except for composite floor beams. It sounds like you are a little skeptical of composites which is a feeling that I share when it comes to primary aircraft structure. Thanks for reminding me about the fuel icing accident - I had forgot about that and had to look it up. In that case, the aircraft was using Rolls-Royce engines and the problem discovered only a -

The 777 is only about 12% composite. You may be thinking of the 787 which is about 50% composite. The structure that you see burned away is aluminum. -

The fuel is in both wings and between both wings in the main part (fuselage) of the aircraft. -
A better question to ask would be why have we not been able to develop a drug test that will distinguish between someone that eats poppy seeds and someone that uses opiates. I have avoided any food with poppy seeds for the past 23 years when I began a career in aviation.

Yep. Hang in the there. The day is coming when the rest of the world will begin to revolve around Apple and you will not feel left out.

Logically that is the only solution, because banning anything else will not work. All other bans are useless as has been proven over and over. People are always the problem. If we take away one item from them, they will ALWAYS find something else to use. The only people that are affected by bans are the good folks that would not hurt anyone.

Absolutely! Pressure cookers are much more dangerous than guns. A gun has never killed or wounded hundreds of people with one shot. Pressure cookers on the other hand are easily capable of doing that as just demonstrated. Come on ZC - Jump on the pressure cooker Ban Wagon with me.
-
I agree 100% with your statement. Now if we could just agree on the definition of "reasonable".
-
We need to take a balanced approach here. Pressure cookers should not be banned but rather the size should be limited to 6 quarts. I just discovered that ANYONE can purchase a 23 quart pressure cooker online with no background check. Surely no patriotic American needs such a terrorist inspired device.

Not sure what's going on here.

Yes. After the setup is completed on the router/modem, it no longer needs to be connected to a computer.

Nope. LE has standard procedures clearly spelled out that must be followed. If they make an arrest or write a ticket without following procedures, the perp usually walks free. Procedures at Doctors offices seem almost non-existent or not very well thought out. I know of several people that have died or became very sick due to a simple lack of following good procedures. That's the number one issue that I would like to see the AMA deal with first.

Interesting perspective. I'm fond of law enforcement.

IMO, no one should have to pay one dime in estate taxes regardless of sexual orientation or the lack thereof! That's the issue I would like to see before the SC. That inheritance has already been taxed to death. (Pun intended).
