Welcome aboard. I think you are PCOM's first ever PI firm and I'm sure your expertise will be very valuable here.

Someone once said the fastest way to become a millionaire is to start off with a billion dollars and invest in an airline.

Given Oscar's Avatar picture (the dog with pasta on its nose), I'm guessing some sort of Italian chip.

If no other explanation fits it could be cosmic rays and I'm not joking. The linked article is something that we should all be aware of when it comes to infrequent random non-repeatable errors with electronics. Cosmic rays could provide an explanation for what would otherwise be unexplainable events. A reboot of the device in question should correct the error. (I promise I have not been drinking as I do not drink).

That struck me as a little odd as well. Good point. There has been at least one case that I am aware of where a man was falsely arrested on child pornography charges. Once a thorough investigation was conducted, it was discovered that his neighbor had been using his unsecured wireless network for the child porn. Another reason to have a good password on your wireless router.

It has been almost 10 years, but my wife worked for a preschool very similar to what you described. Hers was based at a Church and non-profit. The demand was there as they turned kids away every year. The times are alot different now so I'm not sure what the demand is. My best advice would be to seek out someone that is currently in the business and learn from their mistakes and their victories. Starting something like this is a huge undertaking so be prepared to live without sleep.

Hmm....now that you mention it, I think that I have someone living in my house named "Not Me" that is wearing one of these. Whenever I ask my teenage kids something like "who made this mess", they usually respond "Not Me". Going to talk to the kids now. This may also explain why alot of our food keeps disappearing.

We don't care whether the ducks see us or not - have ya got a people blind that really works that we can wear while walking around?

Neat - glad to see we are finally catching up to the Romulans who have had this technology since the late 60's. Now if we could just figure out warp drive we would really be in business.

I think they live in Rockmart.

I wanted to post about it, but I was left speechless after hearing the news.

You also cannot get Garth Brooks, AC/DC, Kid Rock, Bob Seger, or Def Leppard. Surprisingly, you can get Prince who recently said: "The Internet's completely over" and "The Internet's like MTV, at one time, MTV was hip, and suddenly it became outdated." He no longer even has a website which leaves me perplexed as to why he still distributes through iTunes. http://mashable.com/...ternet-is-over/ (Pubby if you read this - Prince says the internet is dead. You better find a way for us to continue communicating).

As of today, you can purchase the Beatle's music on iTunes. I was not sure that this would ever happen. http://news.cnet.com...l#ixzz15SqD3oXZ

I know that this may not be much help, but one of the tech podcasts that I regularly listen to stated that they felt $200 32" TV's would be the norm very soon.

Print 500 Pages With A $4.99 Cartridge
afriendlygeek replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
In regards to long term use, I only have experience with HP and Brother. My HP is over ten years old and has printed a giga-zillion copies with absolutely no problems. (HP is probably ticked that I have not had to replace it yet and they may not build them to last that long today). The Brother printer that my wife uses is about a year old and has performed flawlessly. I did a lot of research before that purchase and it won me over because of the great reviews and a great price ($80). I have no problem recommending Brother laser printers. -
Print 500 Pages With A $4.99 Cartridge

Amazon has it for $179 with free shipping. I'm not familiar with this model but the ink cost is appealing. I still prefer a laser printer for text docs. -
This is one play that will probably not work again for the next 50 or so years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KON0zJFN9l8

This is a good time for me to mention that everyone should be using a surge protector for sensitive electronic equipment. Using one is not an absolute guarantee that your equipment will not be damaged as there are limits to the amount of excess voltage that it can handle. If you are considering purchasing one, I would also encourage you to look at a model that also has a built in battery. The battery will prevent your computer for suddenly shutting down in the event of a power loss, which is not good for the computer.

........and my daughter will be singing there at 3pm on Sunday with the Lithia High School Chorus.

You can't forget this one. It seems like every time I turned on MTV it was playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlPjxz4LGak

One thing that I would not like about it is that it does not have optical zoom. As long as you only plan to film close up stuff it should be fine, but distance filming will be a big problem. Digital zoom does not really zoom at all. It only magnifies the image that it sees which leads to grainy looking video.

My rule of thumb is that I never open an attachment that I was not expecting, even if it is from someone I know. In this case, you could go to the FedEx site and enter the package tracking number to determine if there were any issues with your shipment.
