We have had our daughter at the same daycare since she was 3.5 months old...she turned 3 this past spring. However, due to various circumstances, we have decided that it is time to look for a new daycare and move her. Should we make a big deal about the move? What advice do you have to give me to make this move as easy as possible for her? TIA

I am not happy about the furlough days at all. I more than give the county their money's worth as it is. I've already planned on going up to the school next week to get my room set up so that I don't have to do it during pre planning. All of this is coming at a time when I am going to have to spend more on my classroom than I have in several years because I have been assigned to teach in an area that I have never taught in before and yet I want my students to have the best educational experience I can provide for them. I have talked to academic records to make sure this is correct information and that I am not just dreaming this... To the OP, my daughter just turned 3 in April and we are also dealing with bad words and bad temper tantrums...and she is a daycare kid as well. I like some of the ideas that have been shared here. I used Listerine on my 15yo son and that took care of the bad words. So far, the initial usage and now threat of a switch works well most of the time. Every now and then, we have to carry through with the switch. My 15yo cringed the first time we got the switch out for his sister and then reminded him that it could still be used on him as well. Definitely go on a gondola ride. We went there in Jan. 2005 and my hubby reproposed to me as we were getting on the boat..complete with a new wedding set. Take pictures, go to the chocolate factory, see Hoover Dam...do the tour, take in at least one show. We would Love to go back out there, but we have since had DD so no more trips for us for a while...a teenager and a 3yo just don't make for much time like that for us right now. Have fun!!!!!

I called Best Buys and they said that if you bring it in, pay them $10, the will give you a $10 gift card and recylce it for you. That was for a 20in tv. Hope this helps.
