  1. Mojo In The Morning producers have been contacted by representatives of Miss Universe requesting more photographs and information regarding Miss USA Rimah Fakih's involvement in the "Stripper 101" contest. When asked if Fakih's status as Miss USA was in danger, pageant representatives would not answer. Morning show host Mojo says the controversial photographs were taken from our website where they have been posted for three years. He said Mojo In The Morning will not release any further photographs and hopes that Donald Trump does not ask Fakih to relinquish her crown. "It would be foolis
  2. This is very similar to the drug war. You get the same argument that drugs are okay as long as you're not hurting someone else. And the longer you do drugs, and the longer the police look the other way on some drugs then it must be okay then, even if it is really illegal. Besides, some of the drugs users have been doing it a very long time and they hold down decent jobs so we should look the other way as well. In both cases, the enforcement should come down like an iron fist on the employers who are employing these illegal aliens. Go after the C level executives just as you would for a SOX
  3. Johnnie knew that he was more than just a head. So that night, he prayed and prayed. And sure enough the next day God gave him some legs. He played baseball with the other boys but was unable to swing a bat. He told his Mom, I sure wish I had some arms. She said, well pray to the Lord and maybe he'll give you some arms. So that night, he prayed and prayed. And sure enough the next God gave him some arms. He played baseball with the other boys. He got to play outfield and one of the boys hit a ball that appeared to be a home run. But Johnnie kept running back and back and he caught the ba
  4. What they should spend money on is putting a left turn lane on Nebo turning into Swan Dr. That would help eliminate that safety issue with people traveling on Nebo. However, it would only increase the problem getting out of the subdivision as left turning traffic would no longer stop that traffic coming from that direction.
  5. I believe the law is very clear on the matter. She ought to be deported immediately and the KSU officials arrested for aiding and abetting or being an accessory in the commission of a crime. And if the Cobb County DA refuses to bring those charges then the Governor should step in and enforce the law (because we know our Attorney General won't left a finger).
  6. Ok, PORN movies are one thing. But what if your spouse was a former exotic dancer?
  7. The speed limit on Nebo at Swan Dr is 50 MPH. But the same people who pull out into traffic on Nebo are probably the same ones who run the stop sign on Swan at the bottom of the hill. People who ignore the law need to have more accidents. Maybe eventually they'll learn.
  8. Civil war? Oh, you mean the War of Northern Aggression.
  9. We're in PCB this weekend. The weather is great. Bay and Walton counties have back down their response plans since it appears that the oil isn't ever going to make it to these beaches. There is just too much water coming out of the Mississippi and PC Bay for the oil to be able to go 'upstream' against the current. The oil continues to move westward away from FT. Walton, Destin and Panama City Beaches. In PCB there are a lot of great restaurants to eat at, and the waters are still open for fishing. If you are afraid of the oil spoiling your plans then I would select someplace in Panama
  10. A stop sign won't do any good. We have a 3 way stop in our neighborhood and people run through it all the time, I mean everyone - garbage trucks, school buses. And the police won't do anything to enforce the law.
  11. Depends on where you stay. If you wait and everyone stops listening to the media, the places may be all booked up by the time you get around to making your reservations. I've had people who made their reservations for this summer back in Feb and March. It's possible that oil could end up on a beach somewhere, but then again you could stay in an area that is free of oil but your beach may be covered with sea weed, you could have double red or purple flag days most of the week, it could rain most of the week, etc. There will always be conditions that will be beyond your control. Follow your inte
  12. I don't know if that crossing at McCarley will allow you to turn left on Bankhead though. I think you have to go all the way down to Rose.
  13. They had to do something to keep their cheerleaders from grazing.
  14. For some reason I was reading this, think you were talking about Dis Sr. instead of a child. I wish you could have seen that mental video.
  15. $100,000 isn't a lot of money if they (whoever) had to fight a suit in court over negligence in properly marking an already bad design. Since there have been multiple deaths/accidents it will probably only be a matter of time before an attorney takes this on to make a name for himself and the County et al end up footing a huge legal bill. But it's just like other businesses. A car maker won't accept a recall of a vehicle until the cost benefit analysis (the payouts to families for the death of loved ones in their vehicles vs. cost of a recall) tips the scale.
  16. Correct. That crossing was redone and well as straightening out the road, but the Roper Rd crossing on the hill where that lady was killed was closed permanently. I thought when they were going to reopen Roper that they would have put in train gates. I heard it mentioned that the track was too close to Rosedale and there wasn't enough room on Roper between where the gate would have come down and Rosedale. But when you look at the south side of the train gates at 92 at Bankhead in Douglasville there doesn't look to be any more room than there is on the Roper Rosedale intersection.
  17. You would think that the Post Master would have to tell you and if he does not, then there could some violation of the identity theft laws he might be violating. This is no different than a company accidentally loosing a bunch of records and having to tell you that your's 'might' have been with those which were lost. They don't tell you that as a courtesy, they do it because they HAVE to. If someone actually has the phone number to the Hiram post office then they should call so we'd know whether we need to look into this further.
  18. Yes, they did redo that part of the Roper road. But as you can see from the aerial map below, marked by the red rectangle is the section of Roper road that was closed off permanently after a violent train-car crash. The problem there wasn't a sharp curve but the sharp hill where the train tracks were running 10 feet or so above the road bed and made it very difficult to see a train coming until you were on top of the hill were the tracks were.
  19. Will any banks around here exchange Euros for USD?
  20. They even went to the effort to put up signs that there are no gates. The last time someone was killed out there they closed the road entirely and it doesn't even cross the tracks anymore.
  21. Well since the boy had been over to your house before he probably didn't feel as scared breaking into your place either. And in his mind he's probably thinking that those things were packed away and you apparently didn't need them and he could use them or the money he could get for them. Juvenile minds can rationalize almost anything.
  22. Not according to the article in the AJC. A brief item in the AJC today: $4 million Paulding road widening is approved A widening project for the busiest county road in Paulding County was approved unanimously by the Paulding County Board of Commissioners. The $4.3 million widening of Bill Carruth Parkway from two to four lanes should take about 18 months, said Scott Greene, the county's transportation director. E.R. Snell Contractor of Snellville will do the work. The 1.3-mile project will stretch from U.S. 278 to the Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge. CAROLYN CUNNINGHAM, FOR THE AJC
