Do you know what you Carbon Footprint is?
Georgia Dawg replied to Caped Crusader's topic in RECENT TOPICS
What's really going to be interesting is when someone else (re: your government) determines what your carbon footprint is and starts charging you for your impact on the environment. That will just be the next step. Who knows, maybe Al Gore will jump on that bandwagon since it appears that he's going to need something else to fill up his spare time. -
Of course, the trend today is to accept no personal responsibility. It's always going to be someone else's fault.

Yeah, they paid me about $400, which is all I had receipts for. But as everyone knows, salt water fish can cost a LOT and you can't put a price on fish that you raise from little ones to those that would eat out of my hand.

I used to have a saltwater aquarium. I have several Orbital Batfish that I had raised, Yellow Tangs, Sea Horses, and Sea Anemones and such. Mine was running fine, had run fine for years. Then my exterminator sent in a rookie to do our routine bug spray inside and he sprayed near my air pumps which sucked up the stuff and pumped it right into the tank. It killed all of the fish and I was never able to get anything to live in that tank. I haven't been able to touch another aquarium since.

Woman Hit By Car Sues Google Maps Over Directions
Georgia Dawg replied to onekidmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Google already has a disclaimer so the suit will never see the light of day. Apparently someone already thought of that. "These directions are for planning purposes only. You may find that construction projects, traffic, weather, or other events may cause conditions to differ from the map results, and you should plan your route accordingly. You must obey all signs or notices regarding your route." -

You can make a monthly commitment toward reducing your overall climate impact. You can choose to offset your emissions for the current year or give any amount you want. You have complete control and can manage your monthly gift at anytime online. Plus, it's paperless! Just PM me and I'll tell you where to send your money to reduce your guilt carbon footprint. -
I had to call 'BS' on that story that came out this weekend where the Coast Guard spokesperson said that BP only wanted to drill ONE relief well and we told them to drill TWO. That happened a month ago. The CG and US Government were still trying to figure out what was going on when BP started drilling those two relief wells. I'm sure they had a meeting with BP to get them to say it was okay for the US to say the 2nd relief well was their idea. But I call BullCheeze on that.

They still have that 100 ton box down there. You would think they'd bring that up, start pumping warm seawater through it to thaw out the ice and then take it back down while continuing the pumping (like they've down with the more recent pieces of equipment) and set it over the pipe. Then just start pumping concrete like crazy. Perhaps they could put enough pressure against it to stop the flow. Remember, there is a pump that is pushing the oil out of the ground. The oil is coming out of the ground naturally, just via this pipe. If the pressure doesn't stop the leak, you then have a larger targ

BP is just doing what they're being told to do by our government. Remember, our government said they were in charge, they are in control of the situation from the beginning. So all of these foolish acts are really the responsibility of our own government. I wish they would get out of the way and let the experts and people with experience handle this. Oops, I forgot. Our government is used to having people with no experience running things. My bad.

In my opinion, spanking and abuse are two different things. If I leave my child under the authority of an adult (teacher, counselor, etc) then I trust that person to discipline the child as their own. If the child deserved a spanking then they'd get another one when I got them home. That's just my opinion and everyone has a right to theirs.

I had joined AARP but now that I know what they really stand for, I won't be renewing my membership.

Why did you replace a hotwater heater, since you don't need to heat hot water in the first place? Yeah, doesn't make a lot of sense - it's about like that Permanent Press setting on an Iron, or my wife spending $$$ every month or so for a 'Permanent'.

Most reputable roofing companies won't ask for ANY money until they're done with the job and you are completely satisfied. I'm sure they are plenty of people on here who have dealt with these types of roofing companies and would be glad to pass their names along.

I think what is worse is a Stress Echo-cardiogram. What they do is start out with you laying on a table and they do an echo of your heart - to get base line measurements and video of your heart at rest. Then you get on the treadmill and the keep increasing the incline, making it harder and harder, making your heart beat harder and harder. They are monitoring your heart rate during that time. As soon as you get to the point that you can't take anymore they stop the treadmill and take you immediately back over to the table, where you have to lay perfectly still while they do another echo on your

I just might have to turn on the scanner to hear the effects of it -
I've always heard that they have to have 180 days of school for each year. That used to be calculated with the 6 sessions x 6 weeks x 5 days.

Suggestion? Sure, switch to Diet Rite. It's made with Splenda and tastes (at least to me) better than Diet Coke. It's often cheaper than Diet Coke as well. -
Where is JMT's avatar when I need it? Apparently you totally missed the point about EMRs and I'm not going to waste my time trying to explain it to you.
