Congrats hun! I bet you will be the best Mom ever!

Since the Redneck Ho and family moved out....I have no complaints!

From what I am reading, I guess The Lost Dog signs would fall under this ban as well. IMO that's just wrong. I think it is still one of the best ways to let people in your area to know that you have lost your pet and to be on the lookout.

Thinking about getting a new car
rockysmom replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I was told once that the only way dealerships make money is on a lease and I have heard an awful lot of horror stories about leases. I think it ALL depends on how much you drive your car through. -
That tote looks GREAT Tona! But then again, I bet you would not put your name on anything that wasn't great.

Are you sure that the vacuum does not have a button that will off the beater bar? Some of mine do. With three house dogs, I HAVE to vacuum.

I agree. I mean what were the planning folks thinking not to have sidewalks? But, given the fact that it is currently not in place there is no way in hell my child would be walking on the side of the road to get to school! No way!
-
Ah yes, after I changed schools, so I could be in the parish in which my Mother worked, I was in the sixth grade and then it was the Q60. I remember my Mom "........ ..... do you have your bus pass?"
-
I really did not mean to imply that you did. At all. Really.
-
I don't think they could realistically enforce this. But why is it the school's burden? I mean, I walked to and from school when I was a kid, but I clearly remember my Mother teaching me how to cross a street safely. And this was in Queens, NY and the streets were even busier than here in Paulding. Heck, busing was not even an option cause I went to Catholic School. I wonder how much of this ties into an attitude that the government (federal or local) is somehow responsible for everything.
-
Yeah, I know.

I realized that in the Good Morning Atlanta thread I asked a question which really deserved it's own topic so here goes. Do you think it is your responsibility to see to it that your child gets to and from school safety? It may seem like a silly question to some but I think that some folks feel it is, in fact, the schools.
-
The reason I asked that question is because I have the feeling that alot of people think that it is somehow the schools responsibility and that just blows me away.
-
This "walking to school" issue has become huge. Let me ask you all something, why can't you, as the parents, see to it that your children make it safely to and from school? Do you feel it's the parents obligation or the schools?

ooohhhh! Me too! I want to see your "big hair"!

To take your dogs swimming! Yea! It's in Euharlee by the covered bridge. Really pretty place. Also, jsyk there is a real neat little resturant there at the four way stop. Good, fresh food and the people are just awesome. Had a great day with a real good friend.....even went to Rome to visit "THE" bakery.

It's funny that you posted a thread about this cause I was going to ask if anyone else had seen them in their yards. I saw one in my side yard late at night last week and let me tell you they make a mess of your grass. If the yodis don't get him, I guess I will have to trap it and relocate it about five miles down the road. I've heard about the disease thing as well as that has me a bit concerned.

I realize everyone hates taxes but the amount that we pay every year would make most people cry and even through we have no children, are not on county water or sewage AND live on a public road that is not paved SOMEHOW that little road just stays like a washboard! Grrrrrrrr! You would think that because we pay ALOT of money to the county that they would be able to keep the road in good repair and the ^^%%$##$% bushes cut! I just love it when I am driving down the POS road and the branches scrap up against my truck. Thanks for letting me vent. Guess I will be calling DOT
