I'm thinking I could be really mean and send you guys all over the county.....

I have a contact at a nursing home in Kennesaw if you need it. She is the activities director and has asked me to bring my scout soon so good idea on that one. Just taking time to listen and show someone that they are important is priceless. Probably not good for kids unless it is a group of them.

I only had 3 missing from the 35th district. They are large signs and require fence pickets to install. At least $20 each was lost. Don't you have a sign bond with the county for $250 or something like that and if you don't pick them up you forfeit the bond?

Thank you for being willing to post and interface with people on here. I supported a sheriff's candidate several years ago and it was very hard for me to see the election go down in flames. But, life goes on and all we can do is our best.

MUST ministries allows kids 10+ to help. You can also contact DFACS and ask to adopt a family for Christmas - prepare a meal and provide gifts, etc. Buy an officer lunch and let him/her know that you appreciate their service. Drop a plate of brownies off at the local fire house. Hopefully they will never show up at your house, but it is important to remember and appreciate their willingness to serve our families. We often overlook the opportunity to serve right next door. If you have a neighbor that is having rough times, I feel that is your service opportunity. Fix them a mea

Phil, I took a trip to Hiram and saw these areas with WA signs. I should have just picked them up and met up with you, but that did not dawn on me until I was almost home. 92 at Old Burnt Hickory Road - south of crossroads near PCFD station 8 At 278/92 heading north about 1/4 of a mile there are 2 before you get to Indian Lake (something) road A little north of that area there is one at Allen Rd/92, just south of Macland Rd There are several at both 92 and Due West Rd intersections. I do signs for a house rep friend and always had a hard time keeping up with where I placed

It will be nice to have a pickup point that is closer. I normally deal with NWCC over on 92. Good to see that the church is not going through the learning curve of accepting checks! For other Pcom members: They have a great deal for the Thanksgiving box for $36. If you want to order one, please do so and I am sure the church can get it to a needy family.

SPLOST PASSES; GOP REBUFFS DISTRICT 19 CHALLENGE
FreeBird replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I am sure the Avery supporters are mad and perplexed on how the public voted the way that they did. I felt the same way during the 2004 race for Sheriff. I do have to ask - why did Avery run as a D? He must have had beliefs more closely alligned with that party. The facts are that the people of Paulding, and for the most part all of Georgia, reject what the democrat party stands for. -
Okay, I'll admit that I was off by 7000 voters, and only off .24 points on the split. I'm calling in my marker, Hi~ho!

How were the crowds at your voting site?
FreeBird replied to The Sound Guy's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I did go back up to McClure and spent 1:45hrs in line. Got lucky and ran into a friend so I did not have to read a book that I had brought. The staff did run out the paper confirmation things that you had to fill out and I did not see at one time all the voting boxes being full. The bottleneck was at the check in stations. -

Just think if they kicked you out -- then we would have disenfranchised voters worthy of a visit from Jesse Jackson -

No - I am not joking. The poll worker said it had been like that all day. It was not even that bad during the presidential election two years ago. I believe there have been some combination of polling places so maybe there are more people using that area. -

What a cluster at McClure middle. Probably 500 people in line. No vote is worth the many hours of waiting it would have taken so I left. I guess that really cheapens the sacrifice of those that allowed me to have the opportunity.... -
Why would you need 3000 people? But, let's put this into perspective - 200 million is only about 15 minutes worth of printing with Oboma's new high speed money printing machines.

I drive two Toyotas. Neither has had a lot of repairs expenses. I probably have $1000 worth of repairs to my truck with 245K on it. It is a 5 speed and still has the original clutch. I have another one on the shelf that I found on ebay for cheap waiting to be put in if it ever starts to slip. I've replaced the starter and radiator as well as timing belt every 60K. At the 180K service I replaced the idler pulleys, oil pump, and water pump since I had it torn down to that point. The parts probably didn't need replacing - water pump still looked good and had no leaks. The van has only had

I live beneath my means and we have two vehicles (paid for) with a total of 438,000 miles between them. I always told my wife that "the first vehicle to 150K gets a new one." I hit that number and then revised to 200k, then 250k. As my truck now has 245K on it, I'll be revising again to 300k because I don't it being smart spending 20K+ at this time. I do feel that the personal choices that I've had by maintaining personal health, disability, and life insurance coverage may come to an end as I may not longer be able to afford them. I know they will probably go if tax rates increase afte

When you can do such things for yourself, $600 seems like such a rip off. A gas water heater cost me $310 and an expansion tank was $25. Add $10 for misc. copper fittings and I had one installed. I am thankful my ole man was a DIYSer and took the time to teach me.

I replaced a 40 gal gas for a friend last fall and best price was at Fergeson in Marietta - http://www.ferguson.com/. The were the closest to my friend's house. Another poster advised me about If you are going to install it...Southern Pipe & Supply Co - www.southernpipe.com 106 White Park Drive, Dallas - (770) 445-4008 They were within a few $s of Ferguson.

Clark ambulance update, Paulding GOP, Drugs at local HS.
FreeBird replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I do not believe the county is responsible for all indigent care. I do recall line items in the budget for "indigent care" maybe for the hospital and/or EMS service, but I don't think the county would be required to pick up the tab once the budgeted item is used up. The responsible payers normally pick up the slack of deadbeats, right? With any business you have to plan on dealing with people that do not pay their bills. The county has provided a subsidy to help Clark provide good service. It is obvious that they are having money problems due to deadbeats per the interview given my Mr. -

It sounded like they transported via the rescue, so I have to doubt that the injuries were too bad. -

I have requested the RLS data from the state so we will see the facts and if we did, in fact, receive any return on the investment the county made into EMS service. The expired contract with the county for the subsidy funds may require 4 trucks, but I do not believe in order to hold the zone there has to be more than one. I have that one in writing but it is several years old and may have changed. So, to clarify, in order to be an EMS zone holder, you must have 1 ALS truck on duty. Clark may have a contract to provide 4, but I do not think that would be with the state and a requirement
