Hey blue, a little off topic here, but would a Chinesee made GM product be an American product to you? Would you buy one? I know that you feel that a Toyota made by Americans on US soil is a Japanese vehicle - just wondering if it would go the same way with a GM product being imported (like many from Mexico and Canada are today.) -
If they are considering this in order to save lives, why not simply ban the automobile?

Here are a few pictures we found on our camera after Charlie was MIA for two days. More of Charlie. .

GM to profit more from IPO....repayment coming soon

Come to think of it, it might be smart to be in business with co-owners (taxpayers) that have access to endless supply of money? It seems to be a smart investment to go with a company that can never go out of business due to not making products that no one wants to purchase. -

If the total "loan" was 50B and they have only repaid 44% of that isn't it a little too soon to say the bailout was a success? An yes, the union obligations for retirements and pensions saddle each vehicle's profit with too much overhead. This automaker will be at the feeding trough again in the future. I think they may fit better into one of the European socialist nations that support the national brand. Like Yugo? -

I really don't recall the details on this one. Seems there was only a certain portion of tax payer funds that were due to be repaid? If the repayment is or a full 100% payback, with interest, then it was a good move. Otherwise, the capitalist system suffered as one of the weak should have been left to die (along with the union contracts). -
One year Little Freebird touched the Elf. He woke up to his room being rolled - he just knew it was the Elf. Our Elf likes to move around a lot. For a few days he was MIA. He finally showed up again and we wondered where he had been. I asked Little Freebird to get the camera and find an old picture that we had stored on it so we could print it out. He found a lot of "party scenes" with the Elf and his little elf friend as they must have been out on a two day party binge while he was MIA. They still talk about the Elf and are wondering when he will show back up. Lots of good fun a

Cops for Kids is organized by LT Morris with the Paulding SO and she is an active pcommer (LTD). They have a great program that I am sure could use some help. Here is more info: http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?/topic/257859-13th-annual-cops-for-kids-program/

The inspection fee is common. It is not their equipment and they don't know if it safe or not. In the past I have used West GA Propane/now Thompson Gas. They will have the inspection fee too, but no delivery charge.

Encoding is within a few seconds of live traffic. Seems like the old system was 30-120 seconds at times. -
I have to agree with the others that the family should volunteer. Lead by example. I don't think "making" her do someting will have much benefit. It is a heart issue and understanding why one gives/donates time/sacrifices for others is not something that can be pushed upon another.

Not working for me. I was interested in the encoding delay from real time. Will try again some time soon. -
Walmart may very well only have a few of the $198 TVs. So, that means you have to get in line hours in advance in order to get one. How do you value your time? I only did the stand in line thing twice back when the Wii systems were hard to come by. Camping all night in rainy, 35 degree weather was not too much fun, but Santa came through with the Wii. Santa is just one of those guys that did what it took so the old lady would get off his back....

I don't see why if I am a registered voter with a valid mailing address in the district a "voting card" with unique ID is mailed to me. I then use it to login and vote. It could only be used once. I have a PIN and all other types of information floating out there that I use to secure my identity. If somehow someone did hack my voter PIN and corresponding unique ID, then the vote would be removed.

Okay, just wanted to bring this one back for the OP to consider further.
-
Pat, do you know any good reasons why an Internet type voting mechanism is not considered?

I don't think it it the same. At Publix, you are purchasing food for delivery to that organization - something with hope in it.

I ordered online and gave Mr. JR's email - something about 10 referrals and you get a free box of food.

One other idea at Thanksgiving that I do with my sons. Dallas UMC cooks meals. We arrive and create to go boxes for many and then deliver. Youngest was 8 last year.
