  1. In our case, the BLS unit (the rescue toned out from the PC fire station serving your area) would most likely beat the Clark (providing ALS) unit.
  2. traffic, road conditions are items that affect response times. If you want to decrease response, then you bring the unit (add more???) closer to where the need might be. Get it? Once you request EMS for a "child with difficulty breathing" and the unit takes 40 minutes to arrive at you home then response times will mean something to you. Then call again and it takes 25 minutes. Add units where the need is and response times will decrease. So, tax payers of Paulding, you are pouring close to a half a million dollars in to a provider and you get 10 minute average response times.
  3. Here are some facts. Based on the DHS records I could find as well as the latest report recieved today: 1/1/04-6/30/10 average response time: 9.5 min 1/1/05-8/30/05 average response time: 10.38 min 1/1/10-11/30/10: 10:06 So, from the starting time of the subsidy, response times have decreased by 32 seconds, which is good. To me, 10+ minutes is still bad.
  4. thank you all for the ideas.....
  5. Glenn, after my initial switch over to the "tripple play" a while back the price went up to something like $170/month. I called them and said it was too high and I needed ideas on items to cut. They said there weren't a lot of options to cutting service (I don't have premium channels, etc.) so I told them to cut it off. They say, hold on now, what if we dropped it to $115, would that work? I said yes, and that has been my "tripple play" price for many years. I have the "preferred bundle package" ($115) plus HD/DVR box at ($16).
  6. My church has been helping a family and the man is 52 x32/34 in length pants. Where does one find such sizes? I am looking for jeans, etc. Walmart only goes up to 48 waist. TIA!
  7. HPD 706 and second unit arriving on scene caller reports woman on ground - unknow problem
  8. Another officer is looking for the scene of the accident - a tree 105 asking for GSP GSP 762 enroute to 539 Woodland St search for tree still in progress
  9. 27s provided to the units. Sounds like the guy has had plenty of driving infractions.
  10. SO 45 on scene Another officer reported the door on Harris loop has been like that - I guess the owner has not had it fixed.
  11. SO 105 reports possible 10-57 vehicle stop attempt - driver drove to a house and then ran into it. Won't come to door. 105 asking for an additional unit. I guess we need to get the SWAT team warmed up. 105 calling for 45 to call via phone, 45 enroute officer on Woodland Street, just off of East Paulding
  12. I thought the "high user" bandwidth limit/charge would take care of this. If you are no longer under the cheap price for a year with Comcast, simply call them and tell them that the price is too high and you want to go back to the lower rate. That is what I did after the rate jumped up to the $170/month "regular" rate. I called and said I needed to drop the price or I was leaving - they pushed me to the $115/month rate.....
  13. Mr. C - I had forgotten about this one - sorry to not reply sooner. I suggest you put this in the PCOM Community Chest forums and take on the project of organizing, collecting and then distributing the gifts. I'll supply the meal as I stated earlier. Please PM me if you want my phone number as I can probably be of help if you need it.
  14. Mr. C, do you have the means to put together your own program for a family? Solicit your friends, neighbors and co-workers. I would get the details from each member of the family, i.e. boy, 8, size 10 pants, medium shirt, likes spider man, Mom, size 10 pants, etc. Then make it easy for people to get one item by listing the direct need. You be the collecting point and then deliver to the family. We also try to provide a good meal along with the gifts (that normally help with the "needs" and provide at least one of the "wants.) 16. we use both streaming and 1 DVD at a time so the price increase is 11%. Redbox is probably a better deal for what the amount of movies I watch in a month, but that also means I have to drive 15 miles RT to the nearest box....
  17. Netflix is raising prices 11%. Other than Redbox, what other options are there?
  18. It is hard to imagine the amount of funds a town of 80+ could have access to. County-line where have you been?
  19. I have a device like this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4276658&CatId=1428 I "play" the tape and it is captured to my computer. I guess the catch is that you need a device that plays the tape, for instance, the camera that it was shot on. I decided that I did not want to bank on the 12 year old Sony 8MM camera to still work so I got the device above to save the recorded family history.
  20. I have a thanksgiving Angelfood box that is not spoken for at this time. Would you be interested in it?
  21. Here are county ordinances: http://library6.municode.com/default-test/home.htm?infobase=11409&doc_action=whatsnew I did not find anything for you after a quick search. You might try calling the Marshall's office.
