  1. Skip AA and go to EA http://www.emotionsanonymous.org/ The level of awesome is...awesome.
  2. There you go! Matching dresses are so boring anyways!
  3. How old? Do you have a choice in gender? What school do they need to go to?
  4. Bummer. But we didn't know any better. This ranks up there with smoking while pregnant - it's a shame, and we've learned and we don't participate in these practices anymore. My heart breaks for this person - but MY tax dollars compensating her for something done so long ago seems unfair. I'm tired of paying the price for ignorance that took place 50, 60, 70 years ago. One of the reason, IMO, that racial prejudice is still so strong. Let it go, move on.
  5. I need something other than spaghetti for dinner. What are you having and any suggestions for ground turkey?
  6. Why would you want to go there? They sell beer on Sunday in Hiram now.
  7. She had a full life, but her passing is a loss to the music world for sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YApNirMC9gM
  8. Wow! Really? We got passes the year before last and loved it! Then they got all funky last year after that drowning and we didn't get them. Bummer - it was fun!
  9. Starbucks free game of the month for iTunes is Tetris. Don't do it. It's as methadone worthy as it used to be in the 90s.
  10. I guess I would care more if there was ever going to be even a sliver of hope of Gaquan being a contributing member of society. From the moment his mother named him she marked him, so really, what's a tattoo at 10? Life expectancy of the average black man (thanks to the rise in black on black violence) is 10 years less than the average white man. Add the name, the income level, etc. Meh. This is a symptom of much, much a larger problem.
  11. Werd. He did it. I was wrong. Good news is that he would have likely gone on to do it again, so we all got really lucky, eh?
  12. Supporter? That's a bit of a stretch. I try not to be at the front of ANY lynch mob. But, if you're interested in reading more - you can see that 2 out of 3 forensic profilers also got it wrong. http://www.examiner.com/criminal-profiles-in-national/three-profilers-offered-insight-on-jorelys-rivera-killer-one-got-it-right Was atypical, I stand by that.
  13. Here’s the tidbit that ABC News is passing out from its interview with Marianne Gingrich, second wife to former U.S. House speaker Newt Gingrich: She said when Gingrich admitted to a six-year affair with a Congressional aide, he asked her if she would share him with the other woman, Callista, who is now married to Gingrich. “And I just stared at him and he said, ‘Callista doesn’t care what I do,’” Marianne Gingrich [said.] “He wanted an open marriage and I refused.” In interviews this morning, Gingrich says he’ll refuse to say anything negative about the woman he was marrie
  14. Gotta agree here...you might just have to suck it up and wait and hope that eventually he'll wise up. My sister is 24, but it's going to happen any.day.now.
  15. Everyone seems to know where to start judging, they just don't know where to stop?? Everyone's idea of a "perfect mom" (don't I wish I was one!) is different. We can all blow our own trumpet about the abilities of ourselves or our "perfect kids", but to do so is delusional. Perfection eludes us all. To think otherwise only means you've determined that you no longer need to strive to learn, improve or grow. For ME, I hope that never happens.
  16. Sigh. America's War on Drugs - just another bad side effect of stupid legislation.
  17. I agree. I feel the same way about condoms. Too many people know they have no business having children, yet they do. I've completely given up on the matter. At this point, I celebrate someone having a job, husband and education before getting knocked up - if they can stop smoking, that's just a bonus.
  18. I also use Team Ford (just bought a new car from them). I would suggest calling googling the problem to see if you can find similar complaints. If so, contact Fox consumer tip line and see if you can get them to do a story. I did this with a fridge that I bought from HHGregg - they called HHGRegg and I had a new, upgraded, fridge the next day. They do NOT want to be on the news.
  19. Defending? meh. But why pick on smoking? What about running men in and out of your life? What about having abusive men in your life? What about not seeing your children for extended periods of time? What about posting inappropriate pictures of yourself on the internet for your children to find in the future? What about choosing to get pregnant without a stable father figure? What about women that choose to get pregnant very late in life when there is a very elevated risk of complications? What about women that get pregnant knowing that they are at a severely increased chance of genet
