  1. Y'all are way too patient. If someone is on the phone, holding me up, taking their sweet ass time, etc. etc. - they're going to hear it from me. I was at Subway with my husband and son and the woman making my sandwich was SO SLOW. So, I said, "I realize that you don't like your job and don't want to be here, but I would like to have dinner and get home." And I was rude as hell about it. My son, 9, said, "mom, that's not very Christian". I am a busy person and I don't have time for people to be in my way. It infuriates me to think of the sense of entitlement - like somehow my time isn
  2. I completely understand that it can be misused and that it just puts that much more distance between parent and child, but it's a shame that we do everything we can to encourage teenage pregnancy.
  3. Jesus H. Macy, this was a lighthearted who-dun-it thread - gotta love the derailment that HAS to happen on page 4 of EVERY pcom thread. Luvdamoney - nice chat!
  4. I'll take that as education, as I sincerely did not know that was a "racial" term. I'm certainly not a racist person, but I also choose not to be hypersenstive when referring to ANY race. If you're black, you're black. White you're white. In any case, apologies for any offense - I'm not exactly well versed on slavery slang. We're devolving from the topic, however. I still want more evidence, because I'm not convinced that he wasn't a convenient solution to a lynch mob.
  5. That's why she's a crafty ninja. This thread is useless without pics, LGM. I wish you luck in the wedding pursuit. I know someone on here is an ordained minister - if not, you can buy it online and ask someone you love to do the ceremony. I can do the hair, unless you want something unusual. I did my own.
  6. While eyem's attempts to make me feel like an idiot have gone unnoticed, yours have not! LOL! For my 33 years on this planet, I've always thought it was milano! And what makes that worse, I've been to Milan. So, today, I'll wear my name proudly.
  7. My advice is to skip the wedding all together - we're blissfully married, have our pictures, and remained debt and stress free through the process. Dress - $50 at a thrift shop Jewelry - $30 at charming charlies photography - $200 wedding - $150 flowers - $40 Take the money that you're going to spend on a wedding and put a down payment on a house - in a serious buyer's market.
  8. Is it time for a lesson in correlation coefficients? All of the demographics you mentioned are valid and be correlated back to a race, especially culture. In any case, I suppose I could tit for tat with you blokes all day...and it still wouldn't matter. I got it wrong, carry on.
  9. Interesting. http://www.ajc.com/news/20-year-old-arrested-1253966.html They need to release some forensic evidence!
  10. While I appreciate that you were able to almost verbatim copy someone else's blog, I think there's one chink in the armor - you posted abuse stats, not sexual abuse stats. Let me poke around - you really need to look at child rape for a fair comparison devoid of cultural nuances.
  11. You don't have to own your own business to be in control. I do whatever I want, and I still have the security blanket of corporate america. When it's hard - I'm married to the job, but when it's slow - I'm checking emails on the beach somewhere. I think that job seekers need to KNOW their worth. Just as I should have never gotten into a competitive situation when there were still 4 people in the mix for the position. I wasted a lot of time and I should have been more diligent in my interview of a potential employer.
  12. I'll post stats when I get to the office. I guess you're right though, all those psych courses in college must have been wrong. Jesus, can I get my tuition fees back now?
  13. He's half black and half white, that I'm sure of. So - if he's adopted, we could have some childhood issues, which would help make more sense of it.
  14. Well, I'm at a fairly high level - I had nearly 8 hours of interviews (over days), I had to submit and present a plan for the first 90 days of employment to the executive team, etc. The reason that they didn't hire me? I didn't seem as enthusiastic as the other (unemployed) candidate. And perhaps they were right - because it was a Tuesday and I part of me was thinking about all the meetings that I had to move to make this day happen and how many emails I'm going to return to. It's no big deal, as I really shouldn't have allowed myself to go so far down the rabbit hole with 4 people i
  15. Wait! We have a mug. I was wrong, think he is milano, not hispanic. Interesting. I can't get my head around his siblings either - all young. Same last name, but appear to be teens and all appear true anglo.
  16. It just doesn't fit the mold, he was good looking, seems to have lots of friends (300+ on FB), a bit thug. It could be rage, as he appears to have had some rage issues with another FB member. I just don't know. Stabbing - anger, generally done because of a deep rooted hatred. It's a very personal way to kill someone. Sexual assault of a CHILD, a real child - not teen - that's a wiring problem. Plus, he's Hispanic, which is probably the least likely of all nationalities to commit a sexual assault on a child. Dunno, dunno. I want to know more! How did you get to her?
  17. His about me page also says: Hello! I'm Ryan I live in Canton GA I have a wonderful Life/Family/Friends.Im very outgoing not shy at all so if ya wanna get to no me hit me up. :-)
  18. Well, there's this https://www.facebook.com/notes/ryan-brunn/connor-david-faggot-cheek/183806364983938 PS, here's his BFF https://www.facebook.com/april.renee.williams?sk=wall
  19. I'm just not feelin' it. Look at what he said about Casey Anothy "At wrk tires as fuk.. Tht bitch was not gulity for killin her kid bitch should of died really but she'll get hers.."
  20. I'm looking at his Facebook - don't know. Doesn't seem to jive. I want them to release the forensic details!
  21. The scales are so tipped in the favor of the employer. Not to mention that there are so many people interviewing. I only do it to keep my skills sharp, but man, I can't figure out the decision making process anymore. I can imagine it's even harder for the unemployed - it has to be nearly impossible to get excited about anything.
  22. It's ridiculous sometimes. I honestly can say that I scratch my head at the decision making process. I will say one thing for sure...if you have to interview with more than 2 people, don't get your hopes up because it's anyone's ball game.
