I suppose you think saying please and thank you is as "antiquated" as well. How about showing respect to your elders? Holding the door for someone or offering your seat to an elderly person? How bout a pregant woman? Seems like forgetting the simplest of manners and respect has done nothing but made this world a lot meaner. They still have to be paid the min. The owner adds the diferance to their check at the end of the week. If they arn't then they need to contact the labor board. Now this was the law back when I waited tables. I also had to work the cash register and that is how it worked. Because I was not getting my tips I still made the $2 and then the owner added the differance.

If they are working the drive thru they are being paid the min wage. I do belive according to all those labor posters it is 7.50hr. So no you DO NOT tip at the drive thru. Duh

I do mine the same way. Only I don't boil the water with the tea bags I pour the water over them and let them steep. I also only use 2 bags. It really depends on how strong you like your tea. Same amount of sugar, in my house it is always 2 cups.

I have that happen too. I took the track to the person and said " I have already been saved and this will not help me pay my bills a tip would have been much better". The reply was the saving the soul stuff and I was able to come back with the fact that even Jesus fed the people before he started teaching them. They quickly found a tip for me.
