  1. They are one of the three colors of the calico cat. They should be about the size of a normal house cat and with good vet care can live to be 18 +/- years old. If they are going to be inside/outside their life span is not as long. They are domestic cats depending on their hair length they can be long, medium, or short haired. They are both most likely female as males are very rare in the calico colors. I have found that this is the sweetest of the 3 colors. They are just like any other cat, as they get older they will each have their own personality. The last one I had would fetch and tell u
  2. Thank you all for posting. I had hoped that starting this topic would get folks to think of all the good things. This year has been hard for so many of our friends, family and neighbors that it can some times seem that there is nothing to be thankful for. 2009 has been a trying year for all of us but, there is always something to be thankful for. Keep your heads up and 2010 will be better. My 10yr old wanted me to let you all know that he too is thankful that Dad is still with us after his heart attack. Also that we have a home and food on the table. He is also thankful for his dog.
  3. I realized that today is the first year anniversary of my husband's heat attack. Even though we both lost our jobs. He is still here and we are together. So far we still have the house and we are in better shape then others. Our children are healthy and we added a beautiful granddaughter in June. So really 2009 wasn't as bad as it could have been. What are you thankful for. Think about it. When you start counting your blessings life doesn't look so bleak.
  4. Exactly who I was going to suggest. He got both DH and my trucks up and running in no time. Steven is the bomb
  5. BB your Grand Mother most likely gave him a kiss before he got here. There might be a day when you see her shining in a look or a gesture. My sympathies and congratulations.
  6. The tree and Nativity will come down after New Years. But the other decorations will be put away a little at a time this next week.
  7. First do some research on the breed. They are VERY active dogs and must have a "job" she wants to heard the chickens because that is what she is bred to do. She can't help herself. The shock collars (besides being very in humane) will not make her stop doing what she can't help. Just having a place she can run is not enough for her you should find a training place for you and her. There are some groups that can help you with her. Frisbee and agility training would be good. I don't have any numbers right now, but I am sure you can find some around here. I will see if I can find the number for s
  8. Wal-Mart put the bike together. DD had to have every Barbie townhouse there was. Talk about a pain. But, yippee she is 24 and soon DGD will want those things.
  9. The steroids will help. Try to crush them and put them in canned food. It night get them down her. If you have to do a little at a time just to make sure she gets all of it, it will be worththe extra trouble. A heating pad on low heat will help her feel so much better. You may find she won't want to get out of bed. Hope you both feel better soon. MERRY CHRISTMAS
  10. Westside Animal Emergency Clinic 591 Thornton Rd Ste I Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Map (770) 819-1090 Please keep this with you other emnergency numbers. Do you have an update on your baby?
  11. Merry Christmas to all. May peace, happiness, and the love of God surround you all.
  12. Crush the asprin or any other pills up in a small amount of canned food. There is also a product called Pill Pockets. Great if the dog will eat the pocket and pill, but sounds like your baby may do better with the crushed pill in canned food. I would use Mighty Dog comes in a small size and is made by Purina. Hope this helps.
  13. Glad all went well. Now go to your therapy and get 100% soon. MERRY CHRISTMAS
  14. Dude I would PM Mike King. He is a CM on here and is very knowledgeable. His screen name is A Friendly Geek. Super nice guy.
  15. Dude your late. There is already a thread about this in the cafe'
  16. I have not seen this one before. It reminds me about the one where Santa is visiting the Veteran. I still tear up when ever I read that one. Thanks.
  17. I saw that on on of those COPS show. Bet the kid had a "come to Jesus" meeting with dad. Really though there is a differance between a 4 year old and a 7 year old.
  18. I was 21 when my oldest was 4. Sorry no excuse. OK maybe she will learn a lesson and grandpa will put his beer away. I saw the interview with her and it just struck me as if she were just making excuses. I don't know but I would have been mad as heck. Maybe she is but, it didn't look like that to me. Again I'm a bit strict and I guess being on my own I knew that my DS would need the discipline
  19. Mom, excuses. Give me a break!! The kid is 4 for crimmine sake. Yeah the kid is going to be a criminal b/c the "parents" suck.
  20. I like that one too. I am going to make it my siggie after Christmas.
  21. Hu Raah I hope that is close enough.
  22. A Different Christmas Poem The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight. My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, Transforming the yard to a winter delight. The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve. My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep, Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep. In perfect contentment, or so it would seem, So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream..
