  1. Southern born and southern bred. I call myself a redneck. I have been known to drop my son off at school while still in my PJs course I never got out of the car.
  2. OK, my DD is now 25 and went to McEachern. If she were not as highly intelligent as she is she would have fallen through the cracks. I do have a problem with snipers on the roofs. I laughed when the softball team didn't do squat because of the players and coaching. I do hope things have improved a great deal since 2004. I am glad your kid/s have/had a good experience there. For us we were very disappointed. The school used to be THE school in the Atlanta area. This was back in the late 80's early 90's, now not so much. I am not arguing with you, I was just pointing out that the school
  3. I love Tubo-Tax, I have been useing it for years. I did try Tax-Act once and found it not user friendly.
  4. I'll take that paper. It's cheaper then buy puppy pads. With the weather and stuff, we still have lights up due to the fact that my DH is disabled and our older children haven't been able to get here to help take them down. No they have not been lit all month. As far as people going into stores w/o shoes, kids and young folks wearing their PJs out and about... That's call no home training. You see it in the "non-redneck" areas too.
  5. You are so right about that. I had a friend who would do this when Parents and sometimes kids would start getting all showboaty (new word K) For Baseball he would put a player on the mound. No other players any where. Then he would ask the players if the pitcher would be able to play the game by himself. The answer is of course NO. Then he would have a catcher, again no other players. By the time he got to the first base player every body got the point. Works in football too. The quarterback has to have the other 10 players to win the game.
  6. Hear are some excerpts from actual court cases. Lawyer: Did you blow your horn or anything? Witness: After the accident? Lawyer: Before the accident. Witness: Sure, I played for ten years. I even went to school for it. Lawyer: Doctor, how many autopsies have you performed on dead people? Witness: All my autopsies are performed on dead people. Lawyer: Do you recall the time that you examined the body? Witness: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m. Lawyer: And Mr. Johnson was dead at the time? Witness: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was
  7. Yes, pepper spray will hurt the dogs eyes. The dog could also have a reaction to it. The air horn or a spray bottle with water would be much better. Have you spoken with the owner? If not I would start there. Let them know that the next time said dog comes onto the property you will have no choice, you will get the dog and take it to the pound. Make sure to follow through.
  8. That's called the Ga. Works program. I've heard that it is a really great thing. I agree with not giving without earning the money.
  9. I have no idea why your child had a problem at McEachern. Both my kids are there and I also went there. McEachern is dealing with environmental changes just like we all are who live in West Cobb/Paulding County. Moving will never solve anything. You have to 'go with the flow' and learn how to get along with everyone. McEachern is a FANTASTIC school and is beyond measure with its facilities and opportunities. I have heard that East Paulding is also a good school. However, please do not bash McEachern because you had a problem. So, I gather you weren't there when they had snipers on
  10. I may have been a bit diffacult for that to happen. The securtiy office is was most likey on the other end of the mall. Granted they could have asked over the loud speaker if she were OK. Would have freaked her out, but it would have been funny as heck  Voice: Miss? Are you alright? Woman: God? Is that you?
  11. I didn't see the accident. I did see an accident about 11 years ago. You are so right in thngs seemed to be in slow motion. I can still clearly see the whole thing even now. I also had nightmares about it for about 6mos afterwards. I do hope that the lady is OK.
  12. Will this be where the games will be played there?
  13. No, I don't have time for this any more. :: stomping feet::
  14. Because the Church pays the school. Good job Cherokee County.
  15. I hope that was a good blessing The problem is, and I did point it out to DD, it's not our side of the family, but ............. ya know.
  16. What jet-man said. My daughter has put on her wedding invites. Casual Dress (Late Afternoon wedding) no blue jeans please. There is appropriate attire to ware to church and shorts, flip-flops and halters are not what you ware.
  17. That I didn't know. I wish we could find out if Sean has been sick. He just looks so thin.
  18. Exactly. From teen mom to a lot of the movies out there. If people don't think that celebs have an impact on our kids, then why blame Kate Moss or Twiggy for anorexia? Why blame the fashion industry for setting unrealistic expectations? After all if parents should have more influence when it comes to pregnancy then should we not also have as much influence in the other areas as well?
  19. In red- we've known that for a while. Rocky Caroll is growing into his character. Mark Harman is just sexy!!! McGee is cute, but too young. Kinda like your kid brother. Tony is a playa, and women can see right through that. Ducky, he is...well he is just Ducky
  20. I was talking about teens. It's just that I have noticed a lot of the celebrities are pregnant or have already had their child before marriage. I am wondering what if any effect this has on our own kids? Much like the clothing that a celeb wares or the latest diet that they are on. Zoo I actually don't have a problem with not being married. Before you think I have never been in the whole teen mom position. I am 47 and my oldest son is 30. Do the math. Yes, his dad did and is still doing the right thing. BTW his dad will be 48 on 2/6. Any way it was just one of those things that I
