  1. Boys are easier, and yes, they are closer to mom. They will do the son/ dad bonding thing, but they will always be momma's boys. I heard a statement in regards to boys and their moms. I don't know who said it, but having a football player I thought it was great. "Do you know why college and pro ball players always say "hey mom" when they are on the TV? It's because they know dads love them when they do well, but moms love them no matter what." I'm sure someone out there knows who said it.
  2. Where are the daddies of these babies? See, here is a perfect example of the double standard that exists between males and females. All these girls will be known as "easy, sluts, whores, etc." and all the boys will be slapped on the back and told how "manly" they are. I think that DNA should be collected from each and every one of the boys and the kids. Make the boys step up and be men and take care of their kid/s. I know my ex did. They don't want to pay for the kid then they need to sign their parental rights away, and never have contact with the kid.
  3. I know where my daughter is. She is at her home with her two children and her husband to be (father to both children). We feel for your daughter because you tend to go overboard on the little stuff and the big stuff escapes you. Oh and your daughter isn't in high school yet. Right?
  4. NG, I guess things are improving when you take whatever job you can. I mean imagine a 50 something year old man, who at this time in his life should be making much more then minimum wage takes a job for minimum just so he can feed his family. Oh how bout the 62 year olds who have taken early retirement b/c who will hire them? How bout the 40+ year old women who are taking waitress jobs just to make ends meet? Yep, that ole economy is improving alright. (sarcasm) No, for some people the economy has not improved. These are the same people who had nest eggs and 401s. These are also the same
  5. Has nothing to do with being "green." I don't by into that. I use them because of the larger handels, more stuff, etc reason. I also use them for other things. I also will get some plastic ones for bathroom trash liners. Thanks for the wash tip. I'll try the gentle cycle.
  6. Beat ya to it. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?/topic/262442-so-hey-whats-your-sign/
  7. I knew some one would come with that
  8. Now I have to check Leo. DH is not going to be happy he is now a Virgo.
  9. I know someone who lives by their zodic forcast, bet this screws them up. http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout/20110113/us_yblog_thelookout/earths-wobble-means-your-zodiac-sign-may-be-wrong A Minnesota astronomer confirms what many have suspected: Your horoscope is quite possibly wrong.Earth's shifts on its axis over the past 3,000 years have changed the 12 zodiac signs. For example, think your sign is Aquarius? You may be a Pisces. (There's also a 13th sign, Ophiuchus, that's based on a constellation the ancient Babylonians threw out for symmetry
  10. I'll take that bet. I worked for several grocery stores back in the old days. I trained the cashiers and the baggers. Just like a cashier today could not make change neither can baggers bag groceries. It is b/c they have not been trained to do so. If I have the time I usually have a talk with the manager. I am an old lady, but I worked for extra money starting at 12. From mowing yards, baby sitting, throwing papers (remember paper routes?), as soon as I was old enough to get a "real" job at 16 I went to work for McDonald's. So, yes I do appreciate that he and any other teen is working
  11. I do the same. That's why it usually takes one bag before I step in and bag them my self. Oh and they really hate it when you get on to them about tossing the Friskies cans in the bag. Course when they have to go get a can to replace the one they busted open it shuts em up right quick
  12. Reusable or not they just don't know how to bag. I usually watch to see if they do it right, but by the second bag I do it myself. And, no I am not rude about it.
  13. I have had the same thing happen too.I would love for them to put the cold foods in the refrigerated bag though. I guess the grocery stores just don't train then to bag anymore.
  14. It's not a pink bunny outfit. He does look "thrilled" though. He is a cutie.
  15. She is headed into the clumsy "teen" age. Time to get the video camera out. That is the only way to capture that time in a puppy's life.

Check your PMs. Tried to send you one and it would'nt go through.
  17. I grew up in South Florida. Even though all the snow birds said they didn't see the season change we did. Yes, it would get cold, we even had a working wood burning fire place. So for us winter was winter. Our coldest 2 weeks always fell in Febuary. You knew that when the South Florida fair came to town it was going to get cold. When we moved here I thought we were going to freeze to death. The first time I saw snow (real snow) I thought it was the coolest stuff. After 23 years not so much.
  18. I too love my husband, more when the weather is warm and he can work in his wood shop. One thing on the list is to insulate his workshop and get heat in it for next winter.

  20. This is true, however how "bless your heart" is used changes it's meaning.
  21. Either 7th of 8 or oldest of 2. The #6 sibling was 12 when my sister and I were chosen. So I tend to be bossy.
  22. "A Patriot's History of the United States" by Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen. Awesome book, I am learning so much more then I ever knew. It also list all sources.
