I used to work for Kroger and I loved it, the people and my coworkers were great. However, there were those customers who always tried to complain about something. I made it my mission to be nice, but stick to my guns. All of my customers were fantastic folks, as it turned out. All but one lady, I just could not crack her to save my life. She was so nasty that it got to the point when someone in our department saw her coming, they directed mt to her...every single time. She got a little bit more manageable, but never to my satisfaction. I never felt like I could make her happy, but dang if I d

I have no problem with her reprising the role, she a really good actress. However, since she is a really good actress, why not create a new role specifically for her and what she has to offer. She is good enough that she can certainly carry a show with an equally good cast.

I was in there Saturday night and the sale prices are not that great right now, unless you want a Halloween costume. The costumes were 60% off and they had a TON of them.

Life Flight Landed at High School Last Week
raclay replied to PauldingPeach's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My DD goes to HHS and she got a letter that stated Life Flight used one of the athletic fields as a landing zone due to a domestic violence situation nearby. It didn't say anything about a shooting, but DD told me that is what she was told, by whom, I'm not sure. I would post the letter here, but after reading it, I tossed it away. As far as the people involved in the domestic situation, I have no idea about them or their condition. I hope they are all okay. -
I don't know of anyone that would take her, but I really hope you find her a good home. It looks like she just has flea allergies and that is simple to treat and I bet the treatment of the scabs and sores are fairly affordable too. If you don't mind, I will post this on my Facebook and see if you get any interest that way. Maybe others here can do that as well. Thank you for trying to help this pup.

What was your favorite Lewis Grizzard article.

Stradial, I'm sure glad you brought these up. Lewis was a real funny guy. -
I'm so sorry for your loss. Prayers going up for you and your family.

Personally, I'm glad it happened too. It clearly proves that the checks and balances that were put in place actually work.

I'm glad your son is okay and only has minor injuries. Hopefully, the driver learned a hard lesson to pay more attention to others. There is no doubt the "what if's" have gone through her mind and maybe she will inform her friends and family of the hand signals so that they may be better informed in the future. Sometimes I really believe we should have to take a written exam every ten years or so to renew our license, you know just to refresh our memories of the road laws.

I was planning on making chili tonight, but things came up, so I made oyster stew instead. I think I'll make chili for tomorrow night.

Since you believe it's so safe, then you can do the second coat of paint.

I'm at a loss for words, this guy is just DUMB. Caption it.

My DD and I absolutely LOVE Skyline chili. I lived in Cincinnati for one year and that stuff grew on me so fast. I buy it in the can here, but I do have some dry packets I got the last time I was in Cincy. DD got her first taste of it last year and she was hooked... DH and DS, not so much. Honestly, I have never looked for a recipe for it, so I was surprised to see you posted one. Cool, going to try it one night. I like a Three- Way BTW or a phoney coney since I don't care for hot dogs. I'm thinking of making regular chili for dinner tomorrow, this weather has put me in the mood.

I am a legal gun carrying citizen that respects the law. I hate that people steal from others, but I also prefer to keep the privilege of being able to own a weapon. If someone was to enter my home unlawfully and pose a threat to me or my family, then I will take the necessary steps to protect myself. Please, tot the OP, do not throw your life away because someone keeps stealing from you, find another way to catch them and have them arrested. Persistence will pay off, that is if the thieving continues. Hopefully, it won't.

It's not really a casserole, but how about a homemade chicken pot pie? I'm making that for dinner tomorrow.

This is the first time reading this and I'm so glad to hear that this little boy is going to be okay.

I meant the part about the lack of license plates and the number of complaints, not sure if that is all true. I know the guy ran over the bikers is true, I watched the video. It's crazy and sad all at the same time.
-
I heard on one of the news channels earlier today that the bikers had about 200 complaints called in before this incident happened. I read somewhere else online that some of the bikers did not have tags on their bikes, so police are having a had time identifying all the riders. Not sure how much of that is true, since information comes out quickly and then is retracted. Hopefully, there will be more evidence to come and eyewitnesses that will help in this case.

Well, if those are the only reasons people act like that toward Northerners, then I guess it's time to grow up. It doesn't make any sense to me. As far as the rebel flags, I just assumed those were because of the flag change up roar from several years ago. Anyway, I know some people from East Paulding and none of them are snobs. There are people everywhere who think they are better than others and if they would get off their high horse, they would see we all are pretty much the same.

Can someone please explain why a southerner would mistreat a northerner or vise versa? I have lived nearly my entire life in Georgia, with the the exception of one year 88-89 that I lived in Ohio, and honestly I do not understand what you all are talking about. In all of my 40 years, I have never seen or heard of another person mistreat someone just because they came from the North. Maybe I have lived a much too sheltered life.

I grew up in Savannah and DH grew up in Daytona, he is/was a beach bum. I don't remember ever having tar balls on our feet or hearing about them for that matter. We were in Daytona and no they did not post any thing about tar balls. They were only on the beach that night, no other time. Weird.

The mermaid documentary was a hoax, but I firmly believe that some of the other things mentioned are truthful. I have no doubt that Navy sonar projects are causing whales and dolphins to beach themselves. We know oil spills have a negative impact on sea life. We just got home from the beach last night and one night we took a walk on the beach, when we got back to our room all three of us had tar balls on our feet. It took forever to get it all off. It was only that one night, however.
