I am happy. Both mine went down. I've never paid attention to millage rates. I've always looked at the bottom line. I'm paying less dollars for county taxes than in the past several years.

I have an antique car tag on my Mom's old car. I thought I paid a one time fee for the special tag in 2007. I will be trading the antique tag in for a regular tag at the end of the month. Seems like the administrative cost to change tag numbers and the cost of a metal tag vs. a sticker will actually cost the government more cost than leaving the old special tags in place.

I never was a Comcast fan till today. I was not happy with the Comcast channel lineup changes so I went to the Hiram At&t store to change over today. Got a head ache with the guys bait and switch, flip flopping, back and forth pricing. I left totally confused. I did understand what I was paying $57 at Comcast was $149 installation at $149 a month and he was sending me back $200 at At&t. I went to Comcast and got free upgrades with simple pricing. Much happier with Comcast today after face to face presentations from 2 cable provider reps. Better watch At&t "bundling".

From what I have heard the timing of one had nothing to do with the other. I expect obtaining evidence and statements drove the timing.

I feel complete disclosure would have gained her additional votes. Either she; 1) had no knowledge of a crime. 2) had heard the rumors and knows her husband is innocent. 3) had heard the rumors, she was assisting the investigators and was assisting family to search out help. I feel coming public with either # 1, 2 or 3 would have demonstrated her skills as a leader. I hope a # 4 does not come to light... had heard the rumors and encouraged campaign staffers and family to keep quiet.

When I heard the rumors I tried to get comment from Todd. He absolutely 100% refused to comment. If she had of won we (Paulding County) would have been on the news again this morning. I still believe in light of all the rumors she should have resigned from the race. But that is just my opinion.

During the campaign I challenged Mrs. Cochran to make a public statement. She must have known about the investigation. She either could have voiced complete support for her husband or her comments could have assisted in the investigation. I am so sorry for her and her family, but she made a choice to pursue representing us citizens in our local government. With representation comes accountability. I too hope THEY come up in front of Judge Beavers. He is an honest man.

I have a friend who has a sign in his office... "We have no problem with others selling their stuff for less... They know what their stuff is worth" It's a salvage store, you get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

At 11:17pm tonight it will have been a year now that I got the call Michelle was gone. Some days are good, some are bad. Some days better, some days worst. But still a day never passes that I do not miss Michelle. Today has been bitter sweet. Some moments sad with the memory of the loss. Some moments happy with good memories. Hold your children close. Love you children. Never end a call or conversation without telling them you love them. The last time I talked to Michelle was at 11:15am August 25, 2009. I am so glad we ended that call with how much we loved each other.

It is terrible this family has to face this. Based on the information / rumors that has been floating around the community the past few weeks, some folks close to him were successful in keeping this quiet while at the same time others close to him were making statements to the investigators. I do not smell cover up by the investigators. I expect they were preparing a strong case before making an arrest. Either way this family has a terrible, major, heart breaking process ahead of them. I certainly hope evidence of a cover up or obstruction of an investigation does not develop.

I now try to get on any airline but Delta. 4 or 5 years ago a Delta counter employee in Orlando tried to make me pay $9.00 for a box because my checked bag was 2 pounds over the weight limit. Easy to see. Building was booming, King Jerry was bought and paid for by his buddies. Jerry made it so his buddies did not have to walk very far when they came to the Court House to pickup their rubber stamped PRD permits. $65,000,000.00 dollars later and the little people still have as far to walk to conduct business as we did in the old court house. Try parking, then going to the tag office, then going to the probate court office. Better wear comfortable walking shoes.

1 year ago (in 10 days) we lost our daughter. Pastor Brian made the first notification. We were fine with the public notifications after Pastor Brian's. Nothing can prepare you for the call telling you your child is gone. My heart aches for this family.
