Tech Tip - Free applications that run on a USB thumb drive
OldGoat99 replied to afriendlygeek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I love the idea, but have come to not trust usb thumb drives. Is there a better drive then the others out that that you feel is worth the cost? I have an old 256mb drive that has been rock solid since I bought it and have trashed 3 others and have two that I use and can lose with no impact. -
Most business models are to get the biggest bang for the buck, while paying out the least for everything. So it is cheaper to hire a few inexperienced over experienced to balance the knowledge level out and overall costs. Why have all senior people? they cost a lot more and you can have a few junior that although may not know as much, but can learn most of the tasks needed in a few months and still cost a lot less. Not that agree with most business models in general, but this one makes sense overall. Now my new work model is this... although totally wrong in a lot of ways. Do my jo

I take a box out and put some kiddy litter in it and spread the paint out and let it dry in the sun or corner of the garage where no one will touch it. I have used leaves in a box before too... let it dry out well.

Perfect idea here..... Silvadine.... looks nasty after the blister pops, but aids in keeping a scar from forming. Aloe and don't pop the blister as it is your bodies way of protecting the burn..... When the blister pops on its own let it cover the burned wound and let it act as a patch. Keep area clean and covered with a non adherence pad change pad a few times a day. _____________________________________ Then there is the hard and painful way that really works... We used to do this for foot blisters..... Are you ready for this one.. Pop the blister

Most fans are generally quiet until the bearings in them wear out. It could be the box fan or the power supply fan. Box fan about $6 Power supply about $50 Blowing out the system is always a good idea about every 6 months. Sitting the computer up higher lessens the amount of dust that gathers inside also. Lastly a computer uses about 3-400 watts while it up and fully running or about the same as 3-4 100 watt light bulbs Sleep mode shuts things down to about 1/2 power.

Make him pay for them..... When he has to cover the dime for replacements he will take care of them a bit more.

I believe in what goes around comes around x2 I have seen this happen to others and I think back to me when I have done something I maybe should not have done. I also believe that is you do a good deed for another it comes back x 2 also. But getting payback and be very satisfying also....

Video poker has to follow the same rules just like a real poker game with 52 cards etc. Now yes I would want gaming tables like black jack etc. too Oh and a a word of advice... Two best games to win at in a Casino Video poker and blackjack since they can't tweak the odds and you have the best chance to win vice random chance like slots.

Ok, I always wondered at what age you could leave a kid in the car alone while you shopped. I have seen a few of the young 11-15 age left in the car at times and wondered. Just curious.... -
Dang, I thought maybe they were going to stuff him and put him on display... Or just keep him in the closet.... -------------------------------- I know that is not right..... I would bet he is still not buried and or if he is some serious hush money is being spent. Not right that he has all this even after he is gone.

Just a FYI they have some in Montgomery, Al I am a blue moon gambler and would enjoy a night here and there, but not one in Marietta and limited locations would be nice as it would bring in a ton of money. yes, some folks can't deal with gambling. ---------------- The extra money would seriously help with all the excess wasteful spending in the state.

Found this article and was wondering why Ga did not have a Casino other then the obvious reason that Ga is very slow to change. Just look at the blue laws and how long it took for them to make Alcohol legal. Then look at all the money lost to Alabama and North Carolina.... http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2009-0...-gambling_N.htm
