It is called the gore or something like that..... DOT sets the lanes and the county makes money off of it. I don't see a problem with it as it would curb the use of soft drinks and provide a cash flow for other medical issues. What is so wrong with the tax? We tax smokers... Cobb county has been all over the place more recently. I think they are running low on funds and this is a push to beef up the end of year income. Yes, you should not be speeding etc etc... But if the roads were rated properly to speed then most people would not be getting tickets. Cobb IMO has the roads rated at a slower speed to increase the rate of tickets. Just look at Mcland road.... 55mph 4 lane and lots of homes, churches etc. Look at the East West connector... less homes and speed is 45mph... I have to say a lot of folks both on and off the show are inspired to lose weight which is always good for everyone. Pretty impressive with some of them over the years.
