Yes, they have all been polite when they approach and want to give me a pamphlet. I took a pamphlet once and actually read it but it was mostly tearing down my own religion so I refuse them now. I have never been rude to them. I just say no thanks, I'm Catholic. They usually go "Oh OK" and that's about it. None of them have ever pushed the issue. I'm not rude to any religious group that comes to my door, either. I remember my friend (Baptist) who was required to go door to door and witness in order to be confirmed. I always assume that's probably what most of these people at my door and

I never have a problem with the Watchtower people. I just tell them I'm Catholic and they run for cover.

My mom had in home hospice and they did not give her drugs until the very end when she was actually in a lot of pain. They helped monitor her vital signs, bathed her, etc. She did not have drugs until she was almost comatose and complaining about pain. That was her decision.

Police, ambulances, sirens; on 92 headed toward D'ville

When I drove past our old house on Brownsville Road this morning on the way to work, I saw a large stain and painted police "marks" on the pavement. I hope everyone is OK. -
Nope. My family doesn't use them either.

The company I work for just replaced my 15-18 year old HP LaserJet 4000N printer with an HP LaserJet Pro 400. It is smaller and much, much faster. My old printer was still working for printing things that weren't that important but for business letters and invoices to be mailed to customers, it was looking pretty bad. I know it was at least 15 years old though. I hope this new one lasts a while.

LOTS of Police Activity on 07/29 off of...................
GGinGA replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
So, where did all of this police activity take place? Was it inside Faraday Woods subdivision or on Sweetwater Church Road, close to the Faraday Woods entrance? Like I said, I live there and now I'm very curious. I thought the police activity in my neighborhood stopped when our neighbor checked himself in long term to rehab. -

I am convinced that I will never, ever go through menopause. I am 52 and there is not sign of it. I had hot flashes when I was about 41 or so and then they stopped. My mom was 51-52 when she went through menopause, my oldest sister was 42. My three other sisters (one older than me and two younger) have all had hysterectomies so who knows when they would have gone through. My mom died of ovarian cancer and I have been on the pill since I turned 40 to help protect against it AND to help control Polycystic Ovarian Disease symptoms. I have had periods since I was 10 and I swear I just will never g -
yes that's it! It makes sense that it would be some kind of insect/bee/wasp. WE have a lot of bees/wasps in our yard. They are not falling from a tree because our patio is far from any tree. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no idea how to load pictures so I will try to describe this. We have very small dirt clod looking things all over our back patio. They look like mini dirt clods, almost like the little piles of dirt that ants make. The clods looks like they are made of smaller pieces of dirt. When I sweep them up, some of them crumble. They are easily swept off the patio or hosed off but we can't figure out where they are coming from. I hosed them off Saturday morning and they are back again. On the patio and our patio furniture. Maybe some type of bug is doing this? Does anyone have any idea what I'm t

I run background checks when I put our employees on the e-railsafe system. They go back 7 years looking for felonies. We have had the Railroads deny people who have had a felony older than 7 years if it is theft or something they would be nervous about if the guy was on their property. They have also been denied for misdemeanors if they are "crimes of concern".

My son didn't learn cursive writing until he was in JROTC. Sgt. Burgwald printed out a page that showed how you make each letter in cursive and my son sat at the kitchen table and wrote out every letter. It was a 1 page paper he had to write and it took him 3-1/3 hours to write it in cursive. The next paper only took 2 hours and he eventually learned how to do it.

I was just going to ask if he was a model!! Very handsome. I love the gowns, too. I hope they had fun. -
I got a similar phone call about 2 months ago. He gave his name and told me that if I didn't call back in 30 minutes he would take legal action against me. I called the IRS and they told me they had nothing outstanding against me or my husband and it was a scam. She gave me a website to report it. When the "IRS" guy left his message, he had a very thick foreign accent and the only thing you could really understand was his name, that he was from the IRS and that he would start legal action. The rest was very garbled and hard to understand. He even left a number to call back and when I did, just

I drove to work in Atlanta this morning and the roads are just damp - not even sloppy wet or anything. No problems and it was a speed limit ride all the way in. Sweetwater Church/Brownsille Rd., 278, Bankhead Hwy all the way in to Atlanta were all fine.

The Weather Channel is showing temps going from 33 to 38 between 9 AM and about 5 PM tomorrow. How is it they are saying snow and sleet? That's too warm for it.

WE have the same thing (internet, landline and 450 channels) and we love it. No problems switching and we are saving about $120 a month by getting rid of Comcast. We are paying less for this than we were paying JUST for Comcast.

Measles Vaccines May Not Be As Safe And Effective As You Believe
GGinGA replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I had the measles shot and a booster as a child. When I was in my late 20's, I had blood work done and it came back saying I had no measles immunity. They gave me another shot and I broke out in a measles rash. I have no idea if it "took" or not. That was my third shot. I know I can't have a tetanus (sp?) shot because I'm allergic to it. I wonder what else I'm not immune to. -
Two of my sisters had TMJ and had to get braces on their teeth to get rid of it. They were both in their 40's at the time.
