My niece ate guinea pig in Equador. The thought of it grossed her out but she said it wasn't too bad tasting once she actually tried it. NC-17 you cracked me up with the monkeys!!!
-
I totally agree with you!

57TH Fighter Group Restaurant. It was great! First time in about 8 years I didn't have to cook for Easter!
-
I don't know about my farts, but I've heard a few people mutter behind my back "she thinks her s**t doesn't stink!".
-
It's good to see him leading by example.
-
Thanks Guard Dad! Like I said, I'll probably just leave it alone.
-
I'm so confused..... I think I will leave it alone. I called Superior Plumbing just to get a plumber's point of view and they said that the newer models do not need to be elevated BUT they are in Kennesaw and she admitted that she didn't know Paulding code. I don't know anything about a permit - if we have one or not. I'm guessing the guy who installed it handled it? My husband was more in that loop than I was.
-
I just talked to the Paulding County Code and Inspections (or somebody like that - not sure who I talked to exactly - ) but anyway, she said that if it's gas, it needs to be elevated and it needs to have a permit. I'm not sure I have a permit and I will have to have them come back out and put it up on legs!

Our new one also has vents on the side. Maybe that's the difference. I asked why it wasn't up on a stand and the guy said it didn't have to be. I will find out for sure though and post it here.
-
I guess I'll have to. I think it needs to be up off the ground.
-
We had a new gas water heater installed. Our old water heater sat up on a metal stand. I was told 20 years ago that it is code in Paulding to have the water heater up off the floor if it is a gas heater. My new heater sits on the floor, not on a stand. Does anyone know if the codes have changed and you no longer have to have it 18 inches off the ground? I might need to have them come back and raise the thing up for us.

I am also a Refusenik! I got out of FB about a year ago. Tired of seeing people post that they are "spending quality time with their little boy/girl/husband" when they were sitting posting on FB. Also, I got tired of "just got yummy muffins out of the oven". Who cares? People who didn't even look at me in high school want to be friends with me. Sorry. I think it's probably fun for teens and young adults but I'm too old for that sheeze!

I was told that's a Damn Yankee!
-
I know! So was mine!
-
I meant to copy the words "Never Trust a Yankee" but it didn't turn out right....

Same here. Salt is my favorite side dish.

I'm making it this week. Kielbasa, corn on the cobb, shrimp, small red potatoes and Zattaran's shrimp/crab boil.
-
You gave her a beautiful name!! Congratulations. Pics, please.

I know! I hope Easter is pretty. Hopefully, this will be the end of the really cold weather. I love the sign about wetting their plants!

Age 29 was happy year for me. I was pregnant and the baby actually had a heart beat! We were looking forward to our first child being born. Our jobs were going good and we were looking for a house. Good year for me!

What high school does your son go to? Mine was in JROTC all four years at Hiram.

I THINK it's behind the Dallas theater on the main street across from the old court house. I don't know street names. If I'm remembering right, it's where my son had a conference for Work Based Learning in high school. Sorry I don't know names of streets. The entrance of the building sits at an angle to the street. I looked it up and the entrance is on Griffin Street. They are calling it the Dallas Theater and Civic Center, if that's what your're looking for.
