Since I am small business I am really interested in the incentives, and capitol. Our local Government can't get much smaller, 70 is about the limit you can layoff and still provide essential services. Maybe we could combine 2 post and have one less commissioner. Do you think Heidi can get more people in the county to spend their money with me? I am interested in her ideas on this.

Let's talk about wasteful and extravagant spending

I keep hearing about wasteful and extravagant spending by our leaders. I am curious what specific things the citizens of the county think are wasteful and extravagant. I want to know why they are considered a waste of taxpayers money and who they believe benefit from these things. I know that many think that it is happening, I want the specifics.

There is continued back ground chatter from various sources all over the world of dwindling resources. When a resource becomes scarce the price of that resource goes up. Renewable resources have become a political target due to investments in non-renewable resources. We as Americans have to look at this logically rather than emotionally. We are supporting those that have something to gain from shortages. I have heard so many times lately that we are doomed to a total collapse to more or less reset our society. It is a phrase with the background thoughts being the painful and ultimate fix

How the New Health Care Bill will effect responsable young adults
LPPT replied to bvrat5199's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I am going to quote my 17 year old son that has a very rare genetic condition and was impossible to insure. He said this is the best thing that could have ever happened for me. Now I can work were I want to work or choose any career I want to, my choices won't be limited by insurance coverage or premiums. I can afford my own insurance and nobody can turn me down. I will never have to worry about going bankrupt because I was between jobs and uninsured, then hospitalized. My son has always understood the reality of his condition and even more so as he has gotten closer to choosing a career. -
Every single candidate knows either the topic or the questions 15 minutes before the interview starts. We have a pre-interveiw interview. It helps the candidate and I to create a rapport before the interview, mostly to put the person at ease. Everyone is treated the same. Most of the time I go to their website and pick issues from there. My objective is always to allow them to put on a good front.

I agree about the mandating, I think to consider it people will want to know more about changes it will bring. I would want feedback from teachers, how are their hands being tied? I would be thrilled to see teachers put forth their ideas, as they say that is where the rubber meets the road in education. While we hear that parent involvement is huge when it comes to how well children do, we need a solution for the kids that don't have parents involved. The bottom line is that learning is about a better educated society. Give folks concrete ideas about positive change and they may respond bett

I know that state and federal oversight helps prevent abuse by locally elected officials. On the other hand I think people would be more willing to pay taxes when they see how they are spent locally and benefit local schools. This is what I liked about the tsplost, we cut the state and the feds out. I think that if proper oversight was created people may go for it, I certainly like it better than school choice. We will end up taking even more money from public schools to create a level of bureaucracy to over see the hundreds of private schools that crop up with their hand out. I am goin

Well you certainly don't see any Obama ads running on here, and that says it all. New York does not tell us what ads we can and can not run here. We don't pick and choose what post we will let stand. We are privately owned and run. We have never stifled the voice of the right here, nor have we given them special treatment as they feel is their due.

Tony was asked 2 years ago and he was ask again this year. You are welcome to ask the candidates about my interviewing style. I am always fair, I don't do gotcha interviews. We are not a newspaper were people are in total control and do not have to deal with feedback. Quite honestly compared to other news sites that allow comments, we are quite tame. Other news sites also allow editorials, we are no better or no worse. We have been dealing with folks that discredit us, come here and be nasty to run people off for years. You are absolutely not special in your view point. We allow people

OH Lawdy this is gonna get bad or according to your perspective very very good

My understanding is and I may be wrong, is that he owes the taxes until the bank forecloses, after that the bank pays the taxes owed or the property can be sold on the courthouse steps for delinquent taxes. I have no idea if banks go after the previous homeowner for back taxes, I have never heard of it. I would think it would matter at what point in the process that he is at with his creditors. It's not hard to pay notes on millions for property you own when you are selling a house a week, when the market dries up in a matter of months there is not a whole lot you can do. We are talking

Someone was kind enough to correct me on this, the tax liens are against land he owns, some may be empty lots and some may be developed. I was told he does owe taxes on them. I was under the impression that it had gone back to the bank. I don't understand enough about it to know the different types and how the county assigns taxes to developed and undeveloped land. I do know that this is processed differently than other liens because of money owed to the bank for the property. I do know that it is not a form of long term tax evasion. It is a process due to the housing market crash. The la

Maybe I am wrong, but I thought his situation was different. I thought he was in default with a loan to a bank and the bank was taken over by the feds.He did not make payments because he was in the middle of bankruptcy. He seemed to have been making some big changes in his personal overhead such as moving to a smaller home to be able to pay off his creditors. I have not seen any proof of long term tax evasion on his part. The only reason I defend him was the reason that I gave and that was the type of business he was in and I knew for a fact that many others in the industry were in the sam

Maybe I can help answer it for you since I have taken enough interest in these races to do some research as have many. The limits for campaign contributions have been raised at the state level. Incumbents automatically get the lions share of contributions, it allows them to bury challengers under a mountain of campaign marketing. On the outside the overall impression is wow they must be good because look at all the financial support. The truth is most of the support comes from the state level were many have an interest in having their bills passed. Locally citizens have difficulty gettin

I was not referring to BOOBOO but because she is a child and product of her environment I will refrain from commenting.

I don't think Newhope is a city, I will ask the Marshals office to be on the safe side.

I don't see anything were they are legal in the county. I am not sure if they go through that city limits to the city limits of Powder Springs to the airport. I will not make any plans with them until their website says they are legal to drive outside city limits in Paulding. I don't want to get stuck because they get pulled over outside the city limits. If they are legal I would love to use them.

It is not only the bars anymore, many of the restaurants have bars now and even entertainment on the weekends. Anytime someone takes even one drink they can have a lapse in judgement and have one to many. It is the nature of drinking. Even now it would probably take awhile for people to change their behavior and use cabs frequently. It's just better to be safe than sorry.

I don't think any county or city should be allowed to give liquor licenses to any establishments to pour unless they have a licensed cab company to service the area. Before I moved here we always shared cabs when we went out. We only went if we had money for the round trip cab fare. Without cabs in a county you have more risk of people drinking too much and driving.

So that you understand the attraction is children, I doubt they are the are more turned on by little girls looking and acting adult. We pass these people every day of our lives, they observe our children, dressed like this or not you have no control over your being in their dreams. The only thing I dislike are the ones that seem very spoiled because they are bribed. If it were abuse their would be visits based on the video. I think it is unfair to single this activity out as being any worse than the other activities. Many a parent has forced a child on a team to play on a certain day when
