I believe my subdivision is on some of this property. JJ would probably know for sure. We have a good showing of white quartz all through the subdivision. I would not be surprised if our area would not produce with modern mining techniques.

When it comes to spending tax payer dollars on personnel the first qualification should not be that you are a native of Paulding, believe me people have taken notice of that. You and I know exactly the same things about not only Hiram, but the county in general. Mayor Devey has the right to make whatever decisions she wants to bring transparency and order to the Government of The city of Hiram and she has my support as she goes through the process. She answers to the taxpayers at the end of the day. She didn't run for the position as a popularity contest. People need to take notice that H

I think that there are expenses related to operations that we save when the offices and departments are closed. Most of us knew that this was coming, most of the contention is over how the money is going to be divided up, a commissioner may withhold their vote based on that rather than the issue of the rollback. They have always allowed people to speak, what they put a stop to is someone signing up every single week to put on a sideshow for the press, wasting the time of the press and the commissioners.

Actually the budget has been in the process of being put together for a few months, it happened that it was voted on today. The roll back on the millage had been on the table, to pay our public safety people and to give county employees a raise. We were bleeding from our good people, many of which we paid to train leaving the county. Anybody could have looked over the proposals and gone up there to object to anything in that budget. Nobody did, most of the people following it knew what was in it and didn't disagree with it. I certainly did not, it is getting ridiculous when public safety e

Bill Heath issues a challange for Bill Carruth
LPPT replied to noahsdad's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I only have one issue in these races and that is economic recovery. For our state and our economy. We have laws that are allowing us to do things that make our state attractive to companies looking to expand or relocate here. Our county one of the worst effected by the housing collapse and we have needed help. We pay state income tax, some of that money is ours to help us when needed. The dredging of the Savannah harbor is going to be a huge economic driver for our state. The counties and areas that need help growing their economy will be in line to accommodate that growth. Some like our a -
It's going to take some time for the new way of doing things to produce positive results. I don't think Mayor Devey has any choice but to do the audit because her credibility is at stake. We will see how it goes.

Actually Mayor Devey had nothing but good words for Mr. Stinson. They are changing the way some things are done and those changes require that they hire key personnel to do it correctly and legally. I did not thoroughly read the bios until I set down to make the statements yesterday. When I realized that they were from outside of Paulding I thought to myself how brilliant. This will put a stop to rumors that Hiram is run by a bunch of good ole' boys that show favoritism. Obviously the council is supporting her decision, she is a sharp lady, she is not native to Paulding. There will be l

I reported that yesterday, Pubby and I were very busy he may be the only one that can delete those. We have an office meeting this morning, I will put it at the top of the list. Thanks for the heads up that they were not removed.

This might upset some people, I was Hyper before the word was coined. I was a bad kid, couldn't sit in class or church. I was always on someones nerves because I didn't sit still or be quiet. When I was growing up the square peg did not fit in the round hole, now the hole is much smaller. Society has definitely changed towards physical jobs, the people that fit those jobs are generally considered a little less intelligent and undeserving of good pay. Yet they are more desperately needed than they have ever been, because we are using drugs to round the edges and reducing the energy level

Um, it was a study, that put that line west of hwy 61, in fact while we saw a handful of imaginary ones, there could have been 20 more. It was a feasibility study.I played with dozens of scenarios and cost associated with them. Almost ever person living west of 61 had a line drawn through their house or property, yet there would only ever be one road and that would be if it was feasible. If it were privatized as a toll road, the company would have chosen the least expensive of the routes. Ultimately the price was too high and nobody was interested. I think it will eventually go back to t

Well I just attended the shortest budget meeting in Paulding county history. We had less than 15 in attendance not including the commissioners, I don't think it lasted more than 10 minutes. I was in here working online when everyone waltzed in and started a meeting. I felt like a kid caught sleeping in class when Tommy Graham called on me to ask if I had anything to say. I said yes sir, I have worked so hard on this election I think the county should cut me a check. I don't think it was given serious consideration, oh well I felt honored to be ask Oh well off to the parking

I finally got around to visiting with Mayor Devey yesterday to ask her about the details of the council meeting. She wanted me to clarify that a special meeting was not called just to dissolve the services of Mr. Stinson. They had many things on the agenda mostly pertaining to budget. There was prior discussion with Mr. Stinson before the meeting. The issue was pretty much drama free. The news coming from The City Hiram is all good. They are simply changing the way they do business. They will now have a city Attorney and a Solicitor both from the firm of Henderson & Hundley

The paper work I have was signed June 27 2012, my understanding is 90 days from that date.

I am not promoting him I am defending him against against you. That hanger has a large successful aviation business waiting to rent it. I believe the terminal came from state funds not local. We pay state taxes, so the money should come to us. The Ad valorem taxes go straight into the general fund, and yes we were collecting before the tornado. If you repeat lies enough it is funny how people start believing them. The management company out there was running in the black paying rent before the tornado. You don't know all that much about the recent developments and how close we are to bein

I think Micheal's entire point was he felt that when the Secretary of state overturned it on a technicality that it sent a message to people that laws should be overlooked. The reason for the suit was to drive home the point about breaking the law. In his mind it should be a race between 2 law abiding citizens. He would have not had to do this had the law been upheld, it would have been widely publicized, the only people that are aware of this have seen it on the internet. Had there been coverage about the charges and the dismissal on a technicality then at least people would have decided

But Pubby the news casters, the papers and even politicians said we should not have to pay extra taxes for them. That is because the WE they were referring to lived in region 3 the news cast and stories were all done by people in region 3 for people in region 3. Every time I hear someone from Paulding repeat the rhetoric about I don't want to pay this tax to support public transportation it is like fingernails on a chalk board to me. I want to cover my ears and scream you idiot don't you even know were you live. Do you know were the person saying that about the splost lives.
