  1. You can manage your ignored users by clicking on your username at the top right corner of this page and going to "My Settings," then clicking on the "Profile" tab. In the column of options on the left is an option to manage ignored users. You can add and remove usernames from that list. Make sure you know the exact username of someone you want to add -- spelling, spaces, capitalization, everything. Hope that helps. Of course, if you are ignoring me then you won't see this message!
  2. Enjoy. Note: Spoilers below.
  3. I will throw a grain of salt on my previous post for folks to take it with. I am just frustrated that such a small amount of weather has caused such a lot of schedule change. Maybe there ought to be some kind of approach that doesn't require every school in the county to close if there is a problem that really affects only 2 or 3 of them. It's only a thought... obviously there are complications and I understand that. I just hate to see the kids eat into what's left of their summer vacation.
  4. Just got a call from my teacher friend at Moses. I agreed with canceling Friday. I'm really surprised that they're calling off Monday, though.
  5. Who, specifically, are you calling out here? Me? Just for clarity's sake. P.S. Preconceived notions - funny, that, coming from "some" here.
  6. Jeez -- talking about three kids who make thoughtless decisions, two pay the price, parents are sad. Sounds like a good time to take a swipe at Boortz and Limbaugh. WTH? Shame on those mocking the kids, and shame on those of you who used this story to take petty political swipes. These are the ones of you who will bend over until you can bite your own ankles to find any lame excuse for anyone else... but a real person who overcame a real addiction, THAT'S mockable... in a thread about a tragedy, no less. Pa. Thet. Ic. Good freakin' night.
  7. Ah! I totally missed it - and I called myself looking for replies to that thread! Thanks for the update.
  8. Wish someone had posted on here that it was still happening. Ah well.
  9. King Tux helped me look GREAT at a big gig in Las Vegas last month. If you need formalwear, you need King Tux!
  10. .... and it's over. Already stopped here.
  11. All I'm sayin' is -- if it's gonna snow, I hope it does it up right.
  12. Personally, I think what is even more infuriating is the week-long hype that has preceded this moment. There are going to be a lot of disappointed kids if this system sputters out. There is a frenzy about snow snow snow... and it's fed by the non-stop news discussions and speculations. If there's a pretty snow and some fun that goes along with it, great. If not, great. I just don't see why this has been a week-long news topic. It's hardly a shock that by the time the day comes, the public is all worked up about a dozen flakes falling. Sigh.
  13. The copters are searching for snowflakes.
  14. It flurried for about 3 minutes.
  15. It is snowing at my house in New Hope right now.
  16. Last night was a fantastic gathering. Hope to see some of you at the February event!
  17. I need to give a shout-out to the folks at Autohouse in Hiram. Jason was patient, helped me get a sense of the market, and was a really reassuringly HONEST person during the process. Low stress, no pressure, and excellent follow-up. Even though we ended up making a different buying decision (on New Year's Eve), it was for reasons that do not at all diminish my opinion of Autohouse. They have integrity, honesty, good prices and excellent customer service. I highly recommend them and suggest that if you are in the market for a car, you should give Jason an opportunity to meet your nee
  18. If anyone needs a deck of cards, I might be able to locate a spare deck or fifty...

  20. With some people, it already feels like a lifetime.
