I have the violas AKA johnny-jump-ups. They came from my mom's neighbor in Augusta. I dug some of them out of mom's yard and potted them up over 10 years ago. They are starting to bloom now.

I read this several years ago and I had the strawberry mix that I wasn't going to use so I've been using it a little at a time this way. It should work with any flavor...

I don't use angel food cake and it works fine. Rises and everything.

I did it last night with Strawberry Duncan Hines. I just use about a third cup (approximately)and put in water a little at a time until it looks right. I do it in a small corelle bowl. Cook for between 30 and 45 seconds. Let it sit a minute or two before eating. Good... No oil or flour needed.

What Online FREE Tax Preparation Site Do You Recommend?
retiredteacher replied to mom2dachs's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Karen, I use AARP. They are over at the senior center from 9 to 1 on Mondays. You do not have to be a member of AARP or a senior to take advantage of it. They do fed and state taxes and can e-file. FREE. They don't do complicated taxes just normal ones with one or two schedules. Get there early and get on the list. -

I am so sorry! She was a door down from my mom and we visited in the hall almost every night. She was such a sweet lady. I will miss her.

Does anyone know if this lady was at Paulding Nursing Home?

First Grader issue with writing letters backwards
retiredteacher replied to its mr sarcastic to you's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Actually, it's common in some kids through the 2nd grade. Don't worry about it. If you want to do some practice at home, put some whipped cream or pudding or even rice in a biscuit pan and let him make letters with his finger. -
We camped when I was young, and one of my favorite places was Flagler Beach State Park. Unlike most parks at the beach, you are not behind a dune when you camp, you are on the water! We had a pop-up the first time we went there and I slept in the bed closest to the water. If there is a full moon, you can watch and listen to the waves as you are lulled to sleep.

I heard on the news where counties were clearing around lines in anticipation of another snow/ice event. Trying to keep from losing power due to downed branches...

I have 2 email addresses. One will not put anything in my inbox if I don't have them in my address book. I don't give that to anyone but friends and family. The other one lets everyone in, but for some reason, I seldom get spam. I get a lot of email from craft, quilting and sewing sites but that's by choice.

Today it was pouring rain while I was loading groceries in the car. A young lady stopped, loaded the groceries in the car for me and took the cart back in the store. Made my day!
