  1. Guess whose legs were twitching, crawling, and jumping last night? Yeah-rah, mine. I guess having my head cold, and having to take sudafed for it wired me up good. I barely slept last night, and laying there in the bed, my legs felt like they'd been taken over by zillions of creatures, running wildy over them. NOT FUN.
  2. Here's hoping that you both got some rest!!!
  3. Hope they had a safe journey! I wish them only the best with their move!!!
  4. Checking in, wondering the same thing. Hope all is well! (((HUGS))) To LR and Hubby.
  5. BOOST drinks can be helpful. There are tons of protein type drinks and bars on the market too. As for supplements, I've had great success with Astragalus and Beta-Glucan - both can be purchased at most any herb/vitamin shop.
  6. You may need to go to the doc! Could be the flu.... or a similar virus to the one we've had here (which is rampantly going through the school, like wild-fire).
  7. There's been a virus going around here that my son brought home on Friday, and by Sunday I had too. It sounds similar. Stuffy head, raw throat, low-grade temp, and achy. It seems to pass pretty quickly though. I'd be pumping Vit C, fluids, resting, and doing nasal washes and gargles to help. (That's what I've been doing, as well as taking other herbal supplements, and homeopathic remedies too.)
  8. Please do!!! They are worth the wait to get into see them, and worth the drive to go into ATL. He is the one who diagnosed me with Sjogren's and helped get me on the road to stability with this disease.
  9. To all you folks out there who have *auto-immune* diseases, such as fibro, please-please-please get yourself to a good rheumatologist! When I was in ATL, I saw simply the best of the best - Dr. Hayes Wilson. I cannot highly recommend he and his wife Kim (who is also a rh doc) more than I already do. Top notch... nationally known. Get to see him or her asap. http://www.drwilson.org/
  10. Most of the time fast food places, drive thrus, etc. never ask for ID. Also, they may have had a fake ID made in your name. You may need to put out a fraud ID alert via the credit bureaus. I would! Here are links for the big three: https://www.experian.com/fraud/center.html http://www.equifax.com/answers/set-fraud-alerts/en_cp http://www.transunion.com/corporate/personal/fraudIdentityTheft/fraudPrevention/fraudAlert.page
  11. That's similar to how my sister describes her RLS. She gets shooting/harsh pain directly through the knee joints as well. Mine, as I shared above, is like 10 million creatures running around, jumping, hopping, twitching underneath the skin of my legs. Drives me NUTS when it's really going at it. I will feel my legs twitching/jerking, and have my hubby put his hands on them, and of course they aren't doing what my brain says they are doing. Because, after all, RLS is neurological! Wild to me every time though that he can't feel what I can!!
  12. I would discuss it with your doctor and see what you might could take while pregnant. I too have RLS, as do both my sisters, and my mother -- and my maternal Grandmother did too! I'm fortunate that I do not have as severe of a case as one of my sisters. She takes daily meds for hers. Mine goes through phases of acting up, and then chilling out. Normally it will get really active when I'm tired, over tired, or have done a lot of physical activity. Mine don't jump... mine feel like teen bazillion creatures are jumping, twitching, scurrying all over the inside of my legs. And they'll hurt. I
  13. I remember when that happened! Where we lived in Hiram went on "lock down" for awhile that day. My heart broke for that young man when the rest of the story came out.
  14. Yes, it was -- but I think the interviews hit home some really important things that all parents should truly grasp.
  15. I think it's an important show she's presenting. It could be the exact information a parent out there watching the show to prevent a child they know from being molested.
  16. We were all rooting for the Saints!!! And what a fun, family super bowl party we had too. I thought it was a great game, especially that second half.
  17. Do dreams have meaning behind them? Short answer is, absolutely. The longer answer would go more into how there are dreams that allow your mind to empty itself of lingering thoughts/images/etc.... how there are dreams that allow you to work through fears, hopes, wishes, losses, etc.... and even dreams that are there to teach you something, show you something. (I believe in another type of dream, but not everyone does. One that isn't a dream at all, but a Dream - and involves traveling outside of self.) I also believe that NO ONE, no book, etc. can tell *you* what *your* dreams mean!!! T
  18. Maybe I can remember to watch.
  19. My name comes from the fact I'm a soap-maker and a mom. I do not watch soap operas however!
  20. I have a childhood friend who transition from a he to a she. At first, it was hard for his family (especially his Mom) to accept. She decided that it was better to accept another daughter than to lose her son all together. She lives in ATL where she's accepted.... and let me tell you what, is one GORGEOUS woman!! Wow-wow-wee-woo! Seriously. Drop dead gorgeous. She's also a much happier person being in the body she has always felt she should have been in since birth. Good for you for still being a friend to him as he transitions. It can be a really scary and painful time!
  21. The mind, especially during childhood, is quite open -- and susceptible to over imagination and fear. Sounds to me like a GREAT sleep over! I went to a few of those as a kid too. What fun!
