Thanks! Not sure on move in just yet. End of April or into May.

CO - that looks great!!!! I know you guys have to be really happy with that. Thanks NJ! We've worked really hard on the house.
-
Thanks CO! Yeah, outside finished concrete can be a boon for folks as well. We'd like to eventually redo the concrete around our pool.
-
Thanks! And happy belated birthday to you, my fellow Aries!
-
Thanks Hoohaa! We're so excited that we're giddy most of the time over there. It's so much fun making that place our own. Finished concrete can look like anything you can dream up. Seriously! It's amazing stuff. I've taken two full days off this week - my bday, and then yesterday. I'd reached an overload point where my arms/shoulders/hands just couldn't take anymore work. But we'll be right back on it tonight, and over the weekend while the hubby is home.

Howdy, Folks have been asking me where I've been, and how the home remodeling is going. We've been working very, very hard! I've been doing drywall work in three rooms - just finished two of those on Tuesday. Hope to get those painted tonight maybe. One more room to finish in that regards and get painted, and then our son's "suite" has to be painted. Think I've finally figured out a color to work with his floors. We had all the floors on our side of the "compound" done in finished concrete. Due to the slab having massive amounts of divots in it - from us removing the carpet/tack st

Howdy Pcom! Hope everyone out there is doing well. I've been staying extremely busy!

I completely gave up on that show. It reached moronic levels to me, and couldn't hold my interest any longer. I tried to watch it once this season to just see what was going on, and I laughed hysterically through it.

It's the first day of Spring-Good Saturday Morning
SoapMom replied to luvtennis5's topic in RECENT TOPICS
HAPPY VERNAL EQUINOX / SPRING EVERYONE!! I'm heading to my family's ancestral cemetery this morning for clean up day. Some of the oldest graves in this county are from my direct ancestors... so neat! This is a great way to me to spend the morning - centered upon the Ancestors. Then, on to our new house for more remodeling work. Yeah! -
Who knows what the truth is? Only the actual people involved in it all. I'm sorry for Sandra Bullock though. She's one of my fav actresses and appears to be an all around great person. It does illustrate once again that being rich and famous doesn't make them any less human than the rest of us. They are, after all, simply flawed people, just like everyone else.

I'm not surprised. I hope if she's guilty she is punished accordingly. We had a box of checks stolen in route through the mail one year during Christmas time. We couldn't get the local Post-Master to give a rats ass about it. Nor the local law enforcement either. Identity theft, and as part of that stolen checks, is one of the number one unpunished crimes in the State of GA. It took a little over a month to get the folks who stole ours to quit writing checks, and using her fake ID with my name/addy on it (in spite of the account being closed within the first 12 hours of knowing the checks

We'll be working on the remodeling of our new home, trying to get it completed... and/or possibly moving things into the new house. Just depends on time.

Hear! Hear! I think some folks need to be donning their special attire myself...

I have a coyote hanging around the back fence lately
SoapMom replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
LPPT - from what you've shared, I'd say there is no doubt this coyote is casing your home in hopes of catching one of your fur babies. If this animal is being that bold and unafraid, I'd be figuring out a way to get rid of it. Unlike wolves, coyotes do not usually hunt in packs and are solitary for the most part. BUT living in an urban setting as many do now could be changing their habits. Night time is their primary hunting time. Removal of anything that can attract them to the property is important, and of course, keeping your fur babies inside for the most part is very important. BTW, -

Crime scene photos request sparks privacy debate

We don't need new legislation; the rules in place should be used as-is, on a case by case basis. I was curious what kind of reporter Fred Rosen is, so I went and did a little digging. Seems he's not just a reporter for Hustler. He's a true crime reporter and book author, including reporting for the New York Times. -
OH MY!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I would have followed the toddler, and called the cops, and potentially would have opened a can of whoop ass. I would have been terrified and livid all at once. So glad so many people stopped out of concern!

Here's juju, mojo, and healing vibes for his continued successful recovery!

Seven of us went together to see it yesterday in 3-D -- and we all loved it!!! I usually enjoy Tim Burton's films, and I'm a huge long-term Johnny fan... so, it was really great to me. That IS absolutely the way to go see a movie like this! We wanted to drive down to Jacksonville for "Alice" in IMAX-3D, but due to just time constraints, we were unable to do so. We did for "Avatar" after seeing it here in town in 3-D, and it was so worth the drive and the money.

No, absolutely not. People should have the right to make such a decision about their health/body/life. Chemotherapy isn't a guaranteed cure for cancer.... ever.

We moved to very S. GA., not far from the coast. We like it here. Small town life has a lot of pluses, and you learn to work around the negatives. The coast of GA is beautiful. Darien is nice place on the coast.
-
We're going to see it at noon today. I'm a huge Johnny Depp fan, and love Tim Burton's movies -- so I fully expect to love it. Fortunately, for us, a "crowd" in our small town isn't that big of a crowd.
-
Got ya. I like to cleanse/bless my homes myself.
-
Absolutely! My older sister has pin/plate in one of her ankles.... not fun. Hope all goes well and he has a speedy recovery!

Oh my, that's creepy/horrible! I hope you said some prayers and juju in that house before you guys settled in. As to the OP, of course, report it. Better safe than sorry.
