  1. Thanks! Here in S. GA. where we now live --- about 4 1/2-5 hours south of Hiram.
  2. We closed on our new home last Wednesday. We opted to buy instead of build... just more cost effective and fast. With my father's health, time is of the essence for making a move like this... so buying was just a smarter way to go all the way around. We've already started the remodeling phase! Hopefully the contractor will start next week on his part of taking down walls, etc. And then either the flooring people will be installing tile & new vinyl, OR the concrete man will be starting on finishing our floors (veneer, acid-staining, etc). First album is just the house as it was wh
  3. WOW!!! I'm jealous!! My son is so sad that we're missing out on this snow. Be safe out there!
  4. Good Morning Pcom! Hope everyone is doing well. We've been very busy here in S. GA. After much debate, we opted to purchase a home over building one. We found a fantastic property, and closed on it last week. My hubby and I have been working over there the last two days gearing up for remodeling/etc. Even though we've worked really hard, and I'm sore, it's been a blast.
  5. Stupid idea. There's nothing wrong with the Brown-Thrasher.
  6. I'm all for it. I use cloth shopping bags. Once you get in the groove of it, it's not hard to remember.
  7. I've been a Pcom nut for a long time now!
  8. They already have a 3min between class rule at the middle school here. Guess what that has caused??? Kids carrying around 40-50 lb book bags because that is simply NOT enough time to get from class A to class B AND a locker at the same time.
  9. I've always liked her! I gotta say though, I went to her website and listened to the one song "Solider of Love" - watched the video. It didn't grab me. Maybe other songs on the new CD will though.
  10. I'm so glad Friday is here! It's been a hectic, busy time for us. We all had the creeping crud down here. My son brought it home from school two weeks ago today. Then I got it, and it put my butt in bed for three days straight. Now, my father has developed pneumonia and congestive heart failure. He is prone to this. SOooo, now he's on new meds, and we're having to watch him like a hawk. All of this on top of just daily life, AND we're buying a home!! After a lot of soul searching, and research, as much as we wanted to build our "dream home", the reality was just not matching u
  11. Good Morning Pcom peeps! Hope everyone is doing well. Busy as a bee here in S. GA. Tons going on. Just trying to keep putting one foot in front of the other, and keep on smiling.
  12. For those who have never seen it: http://www.pinstruck.com/
  13. I'd be tempted to make a BIG sign with Ranger's picture on it, and a message that read: To the person who shot our dog, thanks for taking away our furry family member!!! or some sort of message, and post it on the road where you found him. Just infuriates me all over again thinking about someone doing that.
  14. Everyone needs to take a deep breath! ::::in and out:::: IvyLove asked a reasonable question. Does it seem crappy since you and your family are hurting over the loss of your pet? Yeah, it does. However, to be honest, it was a thought I had when I read your post. I did wonder how this little guy made it over there to be shot in the first place. But I didn't post the question because I figured it would blow sky high into WWIII if I did. Doesn't change one iota that I think the jackass who shot your dog is SCUM!!! Doesn't change one teensy bit that I'm disgusted by such behavior an
  15. You know that I'm jujuing like mad for you and your other 1/2!!! HUGS!
  16. Out of those two, I'd have to pick the first one. But I like it spelled Brylee. I don't care for Piper. I do like Marie though. Someone up above mentioned Addison. That's a neat name.
  17. :angry2: That's HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that POS gets back all that they've been putting out into the world, plus some. I'm sorry for the lost of your furry family member. RIP Ranger.
  18. Why not just go ahead and start the first of September, and be done with it? Just readjust the school year all together? I don't know that this needs to be a "law" though.
  19. FBBC -- thank you. I've needed to vent too. Instead, I vented vicariously through your vent. May your clothes soon find a home, your carpet be laid smooth, and your new furniture perfect. Amen.
  20. Wow! Now that should be one heck of a suit!
  21. I SUDDENLY HAVE SHAMROCKS!!! I did nothing on my side. Just "POOF" they were there the next time I visited P.com. Cool. I like'em!!!
