  1. Did they ever say 100% what was wrong with her? I'm so glad to read she's doing well and a full recovery is expected!!! Wonderful news!!! :clapping:
  2. It's called smart marketing. You give an old product a new updated, hipper, more target-market specific look, and you hope to sell oodles of them. Now, spiritually speaking, it's not something that I would want kids to just "play around with". They can be successfully and safely used - but most kids in the age range the above product is intended for are not going to know how, nor be capable of, doing either. Funny though, I had one when I was young - like 4-5th grade time. Then again, I had my first tarot deck at 11. Have had lots of experiences with them. I'm not afraid of them howe
  3. I think it would be a lot of fun to participate in one!
  4. Take your concerns up with your doctor. And if by slim chance this is, then plan ahead and have your ducks in a row. Medicine has made huge leaps and bounds in treating of cleft lips/etc.
  5. Maybe their happier now than they've ever been?
  6. Not hard to read through glaring holes!! Have a great day.
  7. Not hard to read through lines like the ones you've laid down! Maybe living without passive aggressive online exchanges would be on your list of things you just can't do without? And no, I don't think we've met.
  8. Yeah, you keep telling yourself that. Your words were very deliberately posted. There's not love lost between me and GEAgirl to begin with, but let's call a spade a spade.
  9. I really feel like I could pretty easily/happily give up most any thing considered a luxury. Now, if I'm really pressed to think about this.... the three hardest things would be: ~ Internet (can't really give that up due to business) ~ Cell phone (Ditto, for business) ~ And my Ipod Touch. Love it, love it, love it! Best gadget ever!!
  10. Really? Could have fooled me. Seemed very deliberately snarky I thought. Just saying.
  11. CE - that looks like a great kit. Glad you shared. I wouldn't mind owning something like that. I pluck my own brows currently.
  12. Nope, there is none I cannot do without. Things are just that, things. Luxuries, the same.
  13. Oh wow! Tara, what a great idea!!! From the roast, to the "paying it forward" for Shannon. Great ideas. She really was a shining light --- you can tell that as she shines through you!
  14. My friends that live in Canada do not share the above views nor experiences. That is simply not the case across the line, nor all the time. Both of them have serious health challenges, and have two special needs children they have adopted. As for the lady in the story, good for her for putting a face, a life, and health challenges onto a hotly debated topic in the US. Who knows? Maybe she'll end up with a great husband, and great health care in the long run. (Who am I to judge her? At least she's being *honest* in her dealings. How many other people marry under less than honest cir
  15. I'm all for religious freedom... and I'm even for people not choosing certain treatments, say aggressive chemo for cancer, on various grounds. But the above cases? What morons!!! I cannot even imagine being brainwashed to that point to throw reason, and logic into the wind!!! Didn't your God give you a BRAIN? Give doctors and scientist BRAINS??? Wow.
  16. Am I the only person around who doesn't care about Lost? I use to watch it, but season before last, my hubby and I decided that it had reached a whole new stupid/out there/over the top/rambling/convoluted level -- and we were over being lost on Lost. I watched some of last nights show to see just how bad it had gotten, convoluted wise, since we last watched. I was left going: So, am I the only one out there who feels this way now???
  17. I was sorry to read this this morning. What is your Dad's name? I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
  18. You got it lumak! What a sweetie pie!!!
  19. You're in my prayers and thoughts Tara. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your journey with her, from pick me ups in the mail, to PMs here, and all that you both shared through this. I wipe away tears for a lady I never met in person... but for whom touched my heart none the less. And yes, that was certainly a sign from Shannon!!!
  20. The cemetery in the movie is Bonaventure. I visited last April for my 40th bday. Took lots and lots of photos. One from the shoot was just in a photography show, and will be printed soon in a S. GA. magazine. It's called "Hoodoo Hand."
