Voted: yes, yes, no, carport. I always lock up, and I never leave valuables in the car. I think that's just asking for trouble. Why is it so hard to bring things into your house?

I agree! I've been around Pcom for a long time now, and I still enjoy it. I've made a lot of really great and true friends because of this board. Rock on Pcom!

Yes, it's true. But in truth, all products have recorded reactions to them. I have though read/heard of a lot of reaction to several of the over-the-counter style flea/tick treatments - vrs the more expensive ones that you have to get via a pet.

Cool beans!

We help with my ailing father every day. He has Frontal Temporal Lobe Dementia, and is fading away in front of our eyes a little bit more every day. He also currently has developed Normal pressure hydrocephalus, which is rise in the cerebrospinal fluid in the brain that affects brain function. This is due to his brain literally atrophying away. So, yes, I know what it's like to "lose" a parent right before my eyes. It's really hard. My biggest advice is to get help from family, seize any opportunity you can for a "mental health" break, be easy with yourself and your loved one. Pr

I do a little bit of lots of things. I obviously make soap, and lots of other bath/body products from scratch. I make jewelry, spin/weave, make pottery, handmade paper, paint/draw, write poetry, and photography.

Evil. Poor, poor child. She ended up brutalized twice - once by the rapists, and then by her own family.

Bonaventure Cemetery is an absolute must, IMO. I adore it!

Then how can they legally do this? Is the teacher's union going to challenge it?

On this day, when millions witness the longest total eclipse of the Sun until 2132, I share a stanza of a piece of important writing to me. May your life have very bright spots, much more than dim places. Be blessed! Blessing of the Sun Hail to thee, thou Sun of the seasons! As thou travelest the sky aloft, Tread ever strong and forthright on thy path! Thou art the glorious child of the stars. Thou descendest into darkness without fear And makest the dim places bright. Thou risest above peaceful waves in the Great Sea, Above the Mountains of Morning. Northward thou

Any age! We've never shielded our son from the dying or death. We've taught him it's a natural part of living, part of life, the cycle of it all. I think the first funeral he attended he was about three years old.

What a trip!

Man, that brings back memories!!!!! Of course, I was a huge Prince fan -- so, I listened to Morris Day as well, to a lesser extent. Have fun!!!
-
Oh, I will... and did! That was the first instrument he learned to play actually (at the age of 5, I think). I'd pretty much pay $30 a ticket to sit in a room and watch Jack White do nothing. Hope you have a blast!!!
-
Glad you're open Nemie!!! Sending you both good vibes from S. GA!!!
-
Woo hoo! That sounds like a great concert too! ENJOY!!!

The last time I was even remotely this excited about a concert was last year when we got to see Robert Plant and Allison Krauss at Chastain. But for Jack White? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can barely contain myself. I'm like those little girls back in the day screaming for the Beatles or Elvis!!!

Glad folks are sharing about their fav concerts, or upcoming ones they are psyched about! Yeah! I've been on cloud 9 all day today.... just glance over at my ticket confirmation, and I smile all over again. What the heck.. since I'm in a JW mood, here's a fav from another of his bands, The Raconteurs: "Level"

Hand-in-hand British musician & wife commit suicide together
SoapMom replied to westside family's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think it's a great way to go! By choice, and evidently without pain -- at a chosen time, with chosen people, hand in hand. -
YEAHHHHH!!! Someone else on here like me.... Are you going to see The Dead Weather in October???!! I'm driving almost 5 hours to come for the show.
-
Rock on CE. If you like Jack White's stuff with the White Stripes, then I think it's a natural progression. And there are talks of an upcoming new White Stripes album, btw. Yeah... Chastain is just a perfect venue for particular kinds of music IMO. Hope you guys have a blast!

Because I'm a fan! It's one of the benefits they offer via their website -- preordering tix. I don't think they go on sale otherwise for a few more days! They were $30... the show is at The Tabernacle. Have you listened to any of The Dead Weather? Or any of Jack's other bands' stuff - like The Raconteurs, or The White Stripes?

  Steely Dan was just down this way in St. Augustine FL. I heard from a friend that it was a most excellent concert. I feel sure that you guys will really have a blast! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chastain Park as a venue. We came up there last year to see Robert Plant & Allison Krauss together. Amazing concert!!
