That is because many of the independent mechanics simply don't have the experience with newer systems and they one's that do, don't have the proper tools and knowledge of each vehicle type. That's the reason they call them "Auto-Technician's" now and not mechanics. Automotive technology changes as fast as computer technology and independents simply cannot possibly keep up. It's too expensive and is constantly changing, requiring constant training... That manufacturer training is something only dealer mechanics get... or technology schools associated with manufacturers (but even then

Correct! Be aware though, this only applies with the US Postal Service. IF someone sends you something via FedEx or UPS, those rules don't apply. -
No disrespect to you, but that is a damn good way to set an airbag system off. Unless you are knowledgeable of SRS systems, they need to be worked on by a mechanic trained is SRS systesms. There is a reason SRS systems use those big bulk, double and triple lock orange and yellow connectors. Working on a live airbag system is EXTREMELY dangerous. The system MUST be disarmed and repaired properly. The big problem is going to be if the connector has to be replaced. If that's the case, you cannot buy just the connector. You will have to purchase the whole wiring harness and yes, t

Some programs employ this to help prevent piracy. They are coded, so that when the program starts, it specifically looks to see if the CD is in the drive before it will run. There are programs out there that you can run that basically create a false CD drive, by reserving space on your hard drive. They then look at that space and they "mount" that space as a drive... they basically fool Windows in to thinking it has a physical CD/DVD drive with software on it. Then, when you start the program and scans your drives, it sees the fake one and will then load. These work well, but th

Have you called or filled out a request to have the Sheriff's department look at this area? If not, go Here and fill out the form. This will alert the Lieutenant that is over the traffic units that this area needs to be patrolled.

You can't use FOIL because you are dividing two binomials. FOIL is for multiplying two binomials.

Dropbox is not a business management application. It's internet storage that you can access via a web browser or an app on a mobile device. It has the ability to share out folders and you can give permissions to others to view those folders.

I carry in a Crossbreed holster. The 21 uses the same holster as the 30 that I carry. Crossbreed Super Tuck They have a full line on inside and outside the waist holsters. Their website is Crossbreed Holsters I takes a little bit to break in the leather, but once it's broken in, it's awesome. They have a lifetime warranty and if you don't like it, you have two weeks to return it for a full refund (minus shipping).

The Super Redhawk and Super Blackhawks are two of the most well made .44's there are... They are two of the sturdiest pistols made and can handle +P and beyond where as many others cannot. Those are classics!!

Right... A .380 and 9mm bullet (the actual bullet) are the same diameter. They are both .355" The 9mm has a longer bullet (which is why it's heavier) and a longer case and greater powder load. Ballistically, the difference between a 9mm and a .380 inside of 20 yards is minimal. The 9mm has a greater velocity to carry it out to longer distances.

Up until my recent purchase of a Kimber, I carried a Glock 30 (baby .45, 10+1) and had no problems concealing it. The quality of the holster and how it's designed is more a determining factor than size. Obviously, it gets to a point where size does matter (shotgun, etc), but most handguns, if matched with the proper holster can be concealed easily. But it's all in what you are most comfortable with and get to the easiest. That's the biggest factor. Although, you're not going to be able to do it with an Uncle Mikes holster.

WHOA! Now THERE is something NEW! LOL! -
I know... I wasn't questioning your ability or anything like that. My point was that it was irresponsible for HIM to leave it, like he did. It doesn't matter if the car was locked or not or if it was in sight of his office. I could walk up to a car, smash the window, grab something in plain sight, and be gone before he could even get out of his office to confront me. It's just begging for someone to walk by, smash the window, and steal it. This is the kind of thing that gives all the anti-gun crowd 'ammunition' for their cause. It doesn't matter how good you are with a firearm, h
-
Wow! That is crazy and totally irresponsible. I have my gun on my person at all times as well. But to leave my firearm in my vehicle, exposed in plain sight, when I am not directly in control of it, is irresponsible and so is letting someone else (whom I have no idea of their knowledge or training) be in control of one of my firearms without my direct supervision. I'm not saying you are irresponsible... you had no idea until it was too late. Good thing it was legal, but that was still a poor choice on his part to put you in that situation.

Most likely because other states have concealed carry permits and they allow open carry without a permit. Georgia does not allow open carry without a permit. A state like Texas does. It's most likely to help keep people from being confused when going to states that have reciprocity laws with Georgia or vice versa. You have to abide by the laws of the state you are in. So if a Texan comes here and open carries and doesn't have a Texas CCW, they would be technically doing so illegally. Whereas a Texas with a CCW would be legal in an open or concealed situation. The Georgia per

Yes, that is correct... I thought that's what I typed. It has to be in PLAIN sight in an automobile. Anything else, other than a glove box, is not legal. Under the seat and loaded, without a permit, is illegal. The whole point of my post, though, was that Georgia is not a right to open carry, as many people believe. You have to have a permit to open carry or concealed carry. It's a common misconception that the permit is a concealed weapons permit... which it is, but not in whole. It's a "Carry" permit, period.
-
VERY common misconceptions. The permit is a FIREARMS permit, not a concealed weapons permit. You cannot legally open carry in Georgia without a permit. The permit does allow you to carry concealed, but you must posses it to legally carry open, as well. In your car is legal if it is in the glove compartment, as it's considered an extension of your home. If it's loaded in the vehicle, not in the glove box, and without a permit, it's illegal. If it's UNLOADED and separated from the ammunition (outside drivers reach) it's legal.

Uh... Sorry, but they are NOT required to have their lights on when on the side of the road. There is no law that requires them too. Some departments have a "policy" that requires this, but it's not a law... And on the same note, they are not required to follow ALL of the same laws that citizens are **IF** they are doing something in the line of duty. If you run in to a police car parked on the side of the road, I got news for you... it's not THEIR fault, it's YOURS. YOU hit a vehicle that was stationary. YOU failed to maintain YOUR lane of travel.

The Chattahoochee has good fly fishing up around Abbott's Bridge right on the Gwinnett / Fulton Co. line. Good area for wading out... current is not too harsh. Lots of places on the 'hootch are ok for fly fishing, but you need to stay on the northern end. I wouldn't go below I-285 around Ray's on the River area... it gets pretty nasty down stream. Also, if you go up around Ellijay or Blue Ridge, there are several rivers up there that are great for trout fly fishing. The biggest thing up there is getting out of the "rafting crowd' area. I fish a little river called Fighting To

I don't think our county has an ordinance, but Cobb County does... It mimics the state law, but it also amends it stating that you must have 5+ acres to legally shoot. There is no state law other than distance from road, distance from school, etc... But, as I said, just because you are on enough land does not mean it couldn't be considered reckless conduct. What kind of backstop are you shooting against? How powerful of a weapon are you discharging compared to the backstop? There are MANY factors to consider... many of which most people don't consider. Oh, and it's real easy to p

Technically, it's not illegal to shoot a firearm inside of a sub-division in an unincorporated area. However, there are other laws that may apply to make it illegal, such as reckless misconduct. That is an officers discretion. If law enforcement is called to investigate and the officer feels that you do not have an appropriate amount of room, you can be charged with reckless miscondut. There is also a law that says you cannot discharge within 50 yards (150ft) of a roadway. It would not be wise...

There was a Friends episode where Joey said that a certain circumstance was a "moo point." When the other friends asked him to clarify, he said, "Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion... a moo point."
