It's quite clear that the guy with the gun in this story was posing a threat, intimidating patrons, and causing all out havoc: Salt Lake City News 21 Here's another Rambo, gun wielding, legally armed citizen who stopped thugs from harming innocent people. This happened just last week or the week before (can't remember: 71 Year Old Man Shoots Robbers Even the liberal news reporter states, "Williams was about one of 30 customers in the Park Internet Cafe, when the two suspects walked in... and because of him, everyone inside was safe. Inside that same report is another story that

You might want to check in to the legality of that. While I absolutely despise restaurants that do this... you might bite off more than you can chew. If it is printed on a sign in plain sight or printed on the menu that gratuity is automatically added on parties of a certain size and higher or whatever the lingo is... it's very possible you can be legally liable for the payment. If it's printed and you place your order and eat the food, you are basically entering in to a contract or an agreement with the establishment. Those can easily be considered 'terms of service' and -
No, I didn't miss the point... you mis-stated your point. You specifically said "then the days of the the wild west would have seen zero crime BECAUSE EVERYONE WAS ARMED and hanging was the sentence." That sentence says that there were two reasons why there were zero crime. Can you not comprehend your own words? As for history... you better dig in to history a little more. I sure as hell know more about the old west than you *think* you know. The old west did not have "very restrictive" gun laws. The fact is, in some cities, where there were gambling houses or the city was

You must not have read the quote that you quoted me for saying... and even though you bold faced it! The post doesn't make it very clear that I don't carry in churches or other prohibited places? I follow the law and the law says I cannot legally carry in certain areas... How much more clear can that be?
-
You're an idiot! I never said I carried in church, so NO, I am NOT guilty of breaking that law. Wrong again. I don't break the law in regards to firearms. I TEACH the law when it comes to firearms. Please learn to read and comprehend English. Remember we were talking about PRIVATE PROPERTY BUSINESSES when you made your statement about being arrogant and such. No, it's not a straw. Your either twisting the context around to suit your need or you simply cannot follow a conversation. You said it's arrogant to ignore a sign that says no firearms allowed. I wasn't

Actually, you better check your facts a little more. The "Wild West" in the 1800's, in what Hollywood portrays as the "gunslinger" and "cowboy" days was and has been proven to be a very polite time for society. The handful of stories such as Billy the Kid and the James Gang were high news because things like that rarely happened. Gunfights in the streets and show downs didn't happen. Even the famous Earp Bro's showdown near the OK Coral was over exaggerated by Hollywood. You REALLY haven't a clue as to how the "old west" really was...

So, let me guess... you NEVER exceed the speed limit, right? I'm guessing you cannot honestly answer "no, I NEVER speed." If you can't say that, then you are ignoring the speed limit signs, right? Quite arrogant, huh? No, it's not arrogant. I have the DUTY to protect myself and my family, with whatever means necessary. Arrogant is defined as "feeling or thinking superiority over another.." Me ignoring their sign is not arrogant. It's being responsible for my OWN safety. Why would I not do the *right* thing? What is the *right* thing? Who is defining what is *right*? The

Uh... Puerto Rico isn't a state. -
"Unless the PRIVATE property owner says you can't. I have seen signs at Goodwill and Jared that state firearms are not allowed. I'm fine with that." I'm fine with that too. Doesn't mean I am going to give a damn about their sign though. I carry concealed, all the time. People do not know that I carry. People have the right to dictate what I do on their property, BUT, what they don't know won't hurt either of us. I follow the law and the law says I cannot legally carry in certain areas. If a private property owner says I can't carry on his property, the law only protects him

There's not a stronger support for the 2nd Amendment, than myself. With that said, I would go one step further. I would have no problem having a mandatory class either... Safety? Not necessarily... I would go for a mandatory USE and knowledge class. I would also have no problem having to demonstrate your proficiency with that firearm before being allowed to conceal it. Georgia does not have a concealed weapons permit. We have a weapons permit. A common misconception is that the permit is a concealed weapons permit. While it does allow you to carry concealed, you MUST po

What you state is nothing more than about understanding the particular situation. I'm a firearms instructor. I teach when and where is appropriate for lethal force. It's all about analyzing the situation and determining if drawing would be prudent. If I am in a store and someone were to rob it, would I intervene as a legally concealed weapon carrying citizen? Honestly, I can't tell you the answer to that and ANYONE who says they would definitely intervene has NEVER been in the situation and doesn't really know what a gun conflict is like. As a former police officer, I know you

Hey, NEWS FLASH.... We have laws against intentionally harming someone with a firearm too! Yep... you hit the nail on the head with that one!

"chick" when referring to a female of the human species is a slang term and there is no legal definition that defines "chick" as a human. "chick" is defined as the young of a domestic fowl. With no legal definition supporting the slang term referring to a female human, there is no basis for illegal activity. Now, if said, "chick" was blue-"Jay-walking," you might have some ground to form a case.
-
Last time I checked, a rooster was a chicken. The female of the species is called a hen.

Doesn't it depend on if he makes it to the other side? Not much point in fining it if it is splatted on the front of someone's car.
-
Sooo... why did you quote me? I said absolutely NOTHING about confronting him. I would not suggest confronting him either. I believe I specifically said to call the Marshal's office and let them handle it. Not just mentioning what might happen if he catches you... BUT if you were to bag it up and take it over there and dump it on his property, you would be doing the exact same thing. Then you could be the one getting fined for illegal dumping.... ...and depending on how much we are talking about, illegal dumping can be a felony.

Stoddards has an awesome range! All the lanes are computer controlled and can be programed. The do target turning, target advancing, and all the cool things that help you work on defensive skills. They are very clean and great people.

Nobody said, "It's the parent's fault." But how a person is raised and taught DOES have an influence on what type of person they become later in life. Yes, the person is responsible for their own behavior, I have no argument there. Yes, a person can veer from how they were raised. But to say how a person is brought up doesn't affect what type of person they are is false. A person who is brought up with no discipline and let loose to run wild, like so man kids are today, will not generally be as much of a "good person" as those who have been disciplined and taught righ

Any legit gun shop should have an NRA certified instructor and give classes. Just make sure it's an NRA certified instructor teaching the class and it's an NRA approved class. I'm pretty sure Stoddard's does... and Wild West over on Austell Rd most likely does (they used too). Adventure Outdoors just got their range opened up (on S.Cobb Dr) and I'm be willing to bet they have certified instructors and classes. I'm almost sure they do... I'm thinking I saw signs up that said they do. They have probably the best selection of firearms in the Atlanta area for you to try, as well. The

There are a couple of things that need answered before you can get a good answer... #1. How much experience do you have with firearms? IE: If you buy a semi-automatic, are you comfortable enough and stay calm and collective enough to clear a jam, if one were to happen during an engagement? This is one of the biggest questions you can answer. Many people carry semi-auto's and yet, have little training and practice very little... so if/when it ever comes time to use it and something unexpected happens, they get it big trouble. With a revolver, it is unlikely to jam, unless you

I'd like to know when we actually took God out of our schools? Last time I checked (for those who believe), God is in your heart and he is with you no matter where you are. How can you honestly call yourself a believer with a statement like that? I believe in God and I am a Christian, but the hypocrisy in religion astounds me to no end. Organized religion, in any fashion, does not belong in our schools. And there is absolutely NOTHING that says any person cannot worship God in a public school. I can walk in to a school right now, sight down in the library, close my eyes
-
Why? I buy about 6000 rounds a month, myself. I am not going to, nor have any desire to go on a shooting rampage. People buy large quantities of ammo all the time. Especially, those of us who shoot on a regular basis.
-
Yes, actually, I do. I know every single one of the Marshal's and they take illegal dumping seriously. If you take a video and have proof that it's being done, I guarantee you that the Marshal's office will make it stop.
-
**IF** you are referring to me... I don't have children. So, I don't have that problem. But, yes,I agree with your statement. It's getting worse. Adults, more and more, do not parent their kids. They are too pre-occupied with their own fun and satisfaction. They would rather be their children's friend rather than a parent. If I did have children and I chose to play those games, it would be WITH them. They would also understand that what they are doing is FICTION and in real life should no way be replicated. They would be familiar with firearms and what destruction ca

Sooooo.... you're willing to video tape it and put it all over YouTube, but you won't call the authorities to make it stop? First, if he happens to see the video, anyone can look at the video and see what perspective it was shot, so he'll know about where it was taken from... Second... Really? YouTube? How many people do you know that go to YouTube and search on "Man throws trash in vacant lot?" I'm sure this is REALLY going to hurt his feelings and make him stop. Third, he's illegally dumping. That is against the law. Take a video of it happening and file a report with th
