Violence in video games, movies, and what not... it's all been said before and it's all bullcheeze! It's PARENTING and bringing up children properly. The problem is that people plop out babies they can't afford, they get married and get divorced like it's a normal occurrence, and they don't teach their children moral values and respect. It has NOTHING to do with video games and tv/movies. People do not teach their children the differences in right and wrong. People don't care. I grew up with all those video games, all those movies, and everything else. BUT, my parents r

Why Do Some People Think Women Should NOT Vote?
Nitro replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
No, actually you do not have a *right* to vote. There is no US document that gives you a *right* to vote. Voting is a privilege that is granted to you by the state. Your privilege can be regulated and/or completely removed by the State, if it so desires. -
It's amazes me that people want the "potential" for things to be dealt with... People want things to be illegal so "favors" and "looking the other way" doesn't happen. Seriously, so... if it's illegal, looking the other way and taking money under the table and all the other stuff won't go on? I guess they never took one glance at our political system. It's funny, because I thought this was the United States. If a police officer is corrupt, looks the other way, etc... you deal with HIM and HIS offense. Should we make it illegal for people to drive automobiles because they MIG

Yeah, I have an unlimited everything plan. There are two separate plans... a 2GB and a 5GB. They don't cut you off after you reach your 2GB or 5GB plan, they throttle your speed back. I love how they define "unlimited" though... When they throttle you back, it's slow freaking slow you don't want to use it... It's "Unlimited use" not "umlimited bandwidth." I've only gone over twice...and I do a lot of data on mine...

I am pretty sure that the hotspot is an additional charge from Sprint. T-Mobile is one of the few that don't charge for the service. Most of the others charge extra for it.

XDA is a group of independent developers that started supporting, troubleshooting, and writing programs for one of the original Windows based mobile phones. That phone was called the XDA. Since Windows phones didn't really take off, they expanded their support to include Android and that is what they primarily support now. There's somewhere in the neighborhood for 4 million people who design and write programs, that belong to XDA, for Android. They also do some support for WebOS and still do some Windows based stuff. When you download an app from the marketplace, there's a

The problems you described aren't because it's "Android." It's the phone or the carrier. Android is NOT specific to Verizon. I am on T-mobile and have an Android Galaxy S II and I live within 30 seconds of Ridge Rd. I have absolutely no coverage problems. Speaker problems are not "Android." Speakers are hardware... that's the model of the phone. Android is an operating system, just like Windows or Linux.

28th Amendment continues to be ignored? I really hate to break it to you, but there are only 27 Amendments to the Constitution and what you quoted does not exist in the United States Constitution. It is absolutely SCARY to me that you do not know this. There was a proposed 28th with the declaration you quoted, but it has never been ratified and added as part of the Constitution. It's not a law and it doesn't exist.... even though it should.

Spaceballs, would be about the only one that could even come close... A couple of other notable mentions would be the Naked Gun series. Airplane! is my favorite movie from all time. I'm one of THOSE people who can quote it, line by line, from start to finish.

They would verify the VIN of the vehicle before they actually hooked. If the VIN is verified and he has a recently repo order that is valid to his knowledge, he is legal. Yes, the cops can get involved, but if he has a valid repo order, there's nothing they will do about it. He may have seen your vehicle that matched a description of the vehicle he is looking for... He backed in to get ready to take it, but maybe verified it wasn't the right one. They do check tag numbers sometimes initially to get a "first match." They have to VIN verify to actually take it though. A lot

So, are you saying that you have never knowingly and/or intentionally driven over the posted speed limit?
-
Australia thought that too! Don't, for one minute, think it "can't happen." It has happened plenty of times throughout history and we are headed down that path. Thank God we have the NRA to represent the legal gun owners in this country. There are plenty of democrats on the hill in Washington DC right now that are pushing to have our gun rights take away.... The president himself is trying to get hooked up with the UN to do so. Sarah Brady has been pushing for years... and Hitlery Clinton is another.

I think you mean "illegal" right? First things first... of what degree of being illegal are we talking? Second, I'd be willing to bet almost everyone who has already responded saying, "No, I wouldn't... " is lying. Is there anyone that said that who NEVER drives over the speed limit? Is there anyone that has NEVER left their car idling in a parking lot or driveway more than 10 minutes? Is there anyone that has NEVER taken a pen, pencil, paper clip, etc... home from their job? There is absolutely no one that has lived a perfectly legal life. There are those of us who tr

To finish off a hard drive, you need to wipe with it software that is designed to do so. With that same, you can just take a ball pein hammer to it and smash the crap out of it. With the hammer, it could still be salvaged and pulled info, but the chances of someone doing so for a home computer hard drive are slim... Also, if you look on the hard drive, there are foil stickers on it. This stickers cover up holds that are used to apply a vacuum on the drive. If you puncture these holes, it will cause the read/write heads to fall and hit the platters. If you want to really bust it up, tak

Vibrating water pipes are caused by too high of water pressure. Find your regulator and try to turn it down some. If you can't get it to come down, you might need to replace it. The water pressure should not exceed 80psi. The whistling is caused by water rushing past either slight blockage or failing union or valve. Since your pipes are vibrating as well, the issue is not likely a bad bad or failing valve. With the water pressure being too high, it can cause the whistling sound as it passes through the unions or valves. You can get a pressure gauge that just screws on to a fa

I agree! I can't stand to see bare legged women... it IS tacky! You don't have to wear those old grandma hose. I know men don't say much about the women in their life not wearing hose anymore, but the majority of the men I have known prefer women in them. There's nothing tacky about nice silky looking legs. While I can't tell you from experience, I can tell you that the women I know who do wear them tell me that it's total BS about them being hot and itchy, if you wear sheer good quality ones. Nothing looks more unprofessional and unfinished as a lady in a dress or skirt

Me either... what's the big deal? They are people, just like the rest of us. I just don't get the "ooOOOoo-la la" that "celebrities" get. Nothing about them is any more special than anyone else... In my opinion, the men & women in the US Military deserve my respect more than any celebrity or crooked politician.

Air Force One landed at Hartsfield, not Dobbins. The plane, SAM 28000 or SAM 29000 may have landed at Dobbins AFTER the president departed from it at Hartsfield for safe keeping on a secure military installation. When the president fly's, there are always 2 aircraft in the air, both are identical to each other. Very few people know which one has the president aboard. The one you saw land a Dobbin's could have been a decoy plane or it could have been sent there for security after he departed at Hartsfield. The plane is only Air Force One while he is aboard. Any other time, i

It's funny, someone mentioned one should look in to the facts before mud slinging... because if you DID look in to the facts rather than just going off all irate for iTunes purchases, there's a perfectly good explanation. The commissioners have county issued iPads. They use the iPads, instead of buying laptops, #1, because they are less expensive than a laptop and #2 because they are easier to operate and carry around. The commissioners use the iPads to keep and synchronize their agenda's, board meeting minutes, as well as a few other useful applications for their day to day COUNTY

I wouldn't admit that in public though!

That makes two of us.

As long as YOU think you're right, that's all that matters.

You'll get no argument from me on being 'grand.' Like I said, I'm not defending the previous or present administration or denouncing them... But a larger facility was indeed needed at the time they were planned and built. They built for future expansion. As for the "grandness" of the facility, we can agree.. it's a very nice facility, but there's a lot of wasteful money in being 'nice' as to just being a plain facility that gets the job done and still leaves room for expansion.

Ummm.... YOU are the one who stated, "It seems that the smarter move would have been to build the main building with extra space and have enough land to build onto the existing building... And the citizen's of the county bitched like crazy because they had to drive all over the county to get things accomplished. I don't care to convince you. But have you been throughout the building? Do you know specifically how many offices are dormant? I'm guess you haven't. Maybe what you don't know is that there are other departments that are not in that building as of yet.
