Unfortunately most like mine prefer the penalty method. They charge you more if you do smoke or dip. As I layed it out earlier, It is not the ACA per se, it is the costs that will go with it. You have clear that cost hurdle (that of hiring a person) before you can / should hire a new employee. If hiring just ONE more (which is a big increase for small business) employee puts you into that category requiring you to pay HC or Fines that you were not paying before, how much business would you have to add before it was again at the same level of profitability. Wow!! I guess it is a good thing that I have had the same account since college. Was at GA Fed. then First Union then Wachovia, now Wells Fargo and have written a ton of checks since 1982.
