Just had a nice little hail storm off of Dabbs Bridge. About Pea sized but lasted for several minutes. Also heavy rain which helped me realize that several gutters were clogged. Oops.

Where to locate the information on the widening of Hwy 61?
The Sound Guy replied to kerstinamber's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Then stay away from 61, 92, Cedarcrest and Dabbs Bridge Rd, all have been discussed for 4 lanes in the future. -
Oh, man, *why* didn't they think of that!! That would have been perfect!

I just hope they all take a boat trip out to the middle of that sea next year... just before a major storm hits the area. IMO, Much better to have a vague "somewhere at sea" than a land grave. Though up here in Jersey, a radio personality was thinking it would have been cool to put him under several tons of concrete out deep in Alaska then cover it with dirt and leave it unmarked. We could know that he was buried in his enemy's land and nothing he could do about it.

Thanks.

Amen. My uncle is at Kennestone and not expected to live through the night and my 70 yo mom fell while there and now being checked out. Not sure how much else we can handle.

Dang you are not kidding. "Are we going to leave the bodies here, or is somebody in route to them."

For all your Plumbing & Septic needs $25 off Service
The Sound Guy replied to atech's topic in Business NEWS
Dummy me put the tank in the backyard so the basement could have plumbing without thinking about how I'd get it serviced. The tank is about 80' from the front yard and about 10' down from ground level in the front. Do you have hoses long enough to reach that far and that far up? Thanks, -
Dad has the first Solar system that was installed into the Cobb EMC area (at least that's what they told him) and it's been an interesting ride. He got the panels cheap as they were take offs from a failed commercial building, but bought the controller and had it all installed. First six months, they didn't replace the standard meter, so when he generated more power than he used, the meter ran backwards, selling the power back to the EMC at retail rates. Power bill dropped to $40 a month or so all winter. However, a couple of months ago, they replaced the meter with a dual direct

The problem is not that there are not enough people who want to go into medicine, it is that those people don't want to deal with the hassles of the organized health care system. When the government takes over even supply and demand will be out of the system, the govt will decide how many MRI machines are needed and if it's too small a number, well, wait your turn. If you think having the government deciding the health care will make that better.... well, enjoy fantasy land, I hear it's nice there. -
Not just Uverse but regular DSL also will get caps. There is a site that you can go to that tells you your usage, but I think it's uverse only at this point. Newer routers will also tract it for you, I have a new Netgear wireless and with Netflix and the kids games/Youtube, we are using over 50 Gigs a month. Not near the limit.. yet. SG

Good point, but it being a private road, I don't see the tolls ever being taken off. I've been visiting the North East a LOT in the last several months and using the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Tollway a lot. One thing I've noticed is they are in much better shape than the "free" roads. In discussions with the people here, the NJ Toll authority uses toll money for the maintenance, so there are not the budget battles over the use of tax money. So with this 'Private' road not being able to access Tax or DOT funds for re-paving, right of way maintenance, lighting, snow clearing (if neede

Here we go again; more severe weather Friday night?
The Sound Guy replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Great. North Paulding's Prom is that night and it stormed two weeks ago during Wheeler's Prom. (A friend's kid goes there). Ah, the joys of Spring in Georgia! At least it's rain and we're not reading pages of drivel in the AJC about drought. -
Had a subscription for a while... been meaning to renew it, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Anyone have experiece changing airline flights
The Sound Guy replied to mom2dachs's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Not sure about American, but with Delta, there is a $150 fee + the fare difference if the fare you got before is not available on the flight you want to change to. One trip last month I ended up paying $300 in fees to change both ends of the trip. You might try looking up the least cost fare for the flight you want to change to. Figure that cost plus the change fee less your original cost. Should be close. SG -

Oh Yea, you got that right!! -
A friend of ours heard them, said they sounded like a cannon going off, or a 12GA really close. They called PCSO after the 3rd one also. Sounds like somebody was trying out making acetylene balloons. Even a small one can sound like a half stick of dynamite. They live in a sub off of Cedarcrest road, near the Harmony Grove Interchange.

From the AJC: 11:05 p.m.: In Paulding County, power lines have fallen on top of a tanker truck on U.S. 278 as deputies and firefighters responded to numerous calls, Cpl. Brandon Gurley with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office told the AJC.

People, PLEASE make sure the ATM has logged your account out before driving off!! I have lost track of the number of times I've been waiting behind someone in the drive thru ATMs at one of the local Regions banks and pulled up to it to find the screen asking: Do you want another transaction? Yes / No **$200 of your account is wide open at that point. ** It happened to me again yesterday at the Hiram branch. If you use FAST CASH it auto logs you out of the ATM, but if you select the amount you want, it does NOT auto log you out. If you drive off and someone else dri

Bill to Require Booster Seats For 7-8 Year Old

I think if the government is going to mandate this, they need to have a voucher program to help me buy them. More unfunded mandates, typical government. -
Another business closing its doors.....

My son's grocery store is closing their video section also. They've been losing money on it for a long time. I imagine the machines pay for themselves in a year or so.
