  1. I was just about to say it was Dobbins. I guess since they are right on the line they decided to support a school in each county.

  3. I think the idea of staying open later one or two days during the week is fantastic. 6 is just too early to close for any that are coming from Atlanta. Sunday? That is a tough call going into peak grilling season. A lot of people decide at the last minute (hungry or good weather)/after church to grill out together. I do understand the family side of it though. If you are going to stay open on Sunday's I would definitely push the time back. Most are in church still at 10 (or bed..LOL) and other shops do not open until 12.
  4. In cars, on top of cars, on the street next to the cars....a sight I never want to see again! Actually the most I have ever seen at Mardi Gras was boobs, and making out...not even close to the sex and sexual acts witnessed during Freaknik! :bad:
  5. We were at a Braves game one year and did not realize it was going on. Came out with our two young children (at the time) and saw things that were unbelievable!!! We had the kids close there eyes driving out of Atlanta. It was REALLY that bad!!
  6. http://wsbradio.com/localnews/2010/02/freaknik-in-2010-in-atlanta.html http://www.11alive.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=141073&catid=3 LOL...I was remembering a newscast from February!
  7. I thought one of the news channels (11 alive) said Freaknik was not coming?
  8. I hope you called the police. Some poor soul might actually hit one of them.
  9. He is correct! I have bought apples that I swear have absolutely no taste at all! I like the variety and quality there too. Local grocery stores, it is hit or miss on if they have taste.
  10. Thank you for explaining your point. I do see what you are saying.. parties for going to 6th grade, formals for finishing 8th, there is a lot of over the top stuff for kids doing what kids should do. In my own family both of mine know that graduating 12th grade is not the end. (Yet it is a milestone and an accomplishment that I do something for, as was done for me (and most everyone I know) many moons ago. I do not think it has to be something BIG, just a recognition for them) They have at least 4 more years. What I have seen here though is much different. I have had children thrown out o
  11. That is sad. I think any child that has worked 13 years for something deserves for it to be recognized as an accomplishment. A lot went into that piece of paper received. (Some more then you will ever know) Now I do think whatever you can do, want to do, is acceptable...from dinner out to trips around the world your choice, but to diminish something someone worked so hard for by stating it is not a huge accomplishment is rather crass.

Paulding county has done it this way for many years. It would have only been one week if they were younger and did not have to take portions of the test.
  13. Obama voodoo doctor pics
  14. Came right up when I Googled. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=obama+vodoo+doctor+pic&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS307US307&ie=UTF-8
  15. That is what we do too.(down to the bunny and jelly beans!) Even though mine are older now, I will be shopping tomorrow for their baskets. I think I am getting Blu Rays this year.
  16. I don't know where it is, but it has been around since he won the democratic convention, so if you Google it the pic will come up.
  17. Actually many rooms are either too hot or too cold. Most hallways are not air conditioned. My sons job is to get good grades and graduate. He prefers doing that in shorts rather then jeans. Since he is at the top of his class he seems to be doing his job. (and since his next job is college I am pretty sure shorts will be the norm there too) Dress for the job you want in life when speaking of whether kids are wearing shorts or jeans to school seems like a slam to all that let their children be children and wear shorts. (and following the set up guidelines that shorts are an allowed form of
  18. Congrats!!! :clapping: I LOVE mine. (I paid for it..boo hoo) it is the most used appliance in my kitchen! Get cooking!!!!
  19. Yea, T- Mobile was nice, but of no help. Georgia is down, as is a couple other states. They have no ETA of when it will be back up. They said pulling the battery out and putting it back in, sometimes helps it along, but my battery is a PITA to get out.
  20. Still on hold, but did just get my internet on the phone back. Tried to make a call and it showed dialing, but just would hang up. Not going through.
  21. I have been on hold 15 minutes already with them, and still waiting! I guess their whole circuit must be down and we are all calling!
  22. These responses seems more likely to me then someone going and stealing flowers from a childs grave in broad daylight. Maybe that is my rose colored glasses, but really these suggestions sound more likely. ( < and I pray one is what happened)
  23. Not true. Frozen fruit and produce can be fresher then the stuff you buy in the produce department. (A lot of companies bag and flash freeze within hours of picking maintaining the quality and nutrition of the product, whereas fresh will be days old by the time it arrives to the store. JSYK frozen really is a good option especially when what you want is not available ) I have never ate nuggets, I could not figure out what part of the chicken it came from!!
