  1. Indeed, it's just plain psychosomatic with some folks. Back when I was trying vaping I was doing so over at the Avenues of W.Cobb sitting in my car with the windows up and had some nosy broad come up and bang on my window and tell me that my smoking was irritating her breathing and I needed to "put that out in my ashtray". Again I was vaping, in my car, windows UP.. and her seeing me do so compelled her to complain to me her breathing was being irritated and command me to put it out.
  2. The policy is pretty much standard for all restaurants these days. When a party reaches a certain size it's more work for both the server and kitchen to cater to that parties needs. The gratuity is not in place in lieu of leaving a tip, it's an equalizer. 4 tables of 2 persons being served by the same server will result in a higher average gratuity than a single party of 8+ folks and the server has to work four times as hard at serving the larger party. An added gratuity is so universal in the restaurant industry at this point, that only a group of very naive diners would be surprise
  3. That's because they're stuck in the house all day which limits their chances... AmIrite guys?
  4. Haha!! Like the Facebook pic meme says, If he's not having sex or sleeping, make him a sammich!!!
  5. My opinion of this is... *shrug* If they want folks to live in cheaper/smaller housing when it's being subsidized for by the gov't then so be it. I can't think of any other country that's outside of the N.American Hemisphere where folks live in more house than they need. So it's typical that Europeans make do with living in tiny spaces to begin with.
  6. So much for global cooling!!! AmIrite? BTW, the low tonight is going to be 62 with 80-90% humidity? YUCK.. time to turn on the A/C!!!
  7. What this does is kill the secondary resell market for phones who's subsidies have been fully paid for, as in you buy phone with 2-yr contract, phone is paid for each month, once contract is up, you get new phone, and the old phone (which is fully now yours) cannot be unlocked for it to be used with a "pay as you go" carrier. What should upset folks is this threatens users with up to 10 years in Federal prison, as in corporations have lobbied for a law that uses tax payers money to jail you for what's essentially a non-crime while criminals roam the streets. And at the same time car
  8. This is what you order: This is what you get:
  9. Have you tried taking a gander at Newegg? <-- Link to their desks.
  10. I don't know if GA does this but in other states there's loopholes in place where someone renting (living in) and paying taxes in lieu of the owner doing so can claim the property outright from the owners since the state considers non-payment of taxes abandonment. By living there and doing upkeep you hold MORE rights to the property than the owner since they haven't been paying taxes. I'd consult with a lawyer posthaste on what your rights would be and the eligibility of possibly taking ownership of the property.
  11. Woodstock Furniture Outlet maybe? I think the style of desk you speak of is the "hutch" type. (pic is for reference not an indication of what they have)
  12. Yeah I think right around now is time for the females to go in heat, so once they get a certain age and have their "boys" still attached they're going to be all over the place huntin for some "lovin".
  13. By dagger do you mean bayonet that goes on the end of a rifle? It may look like this? (Note: There were a few different styles for the K98 Rifle so pic might not be exact.)
  14. Certifications are looking to be more "important" on paper these days than anything, and combining certs with a 4-yr degree may be the difference with keeping one's skill set more viable than the next person's. But there's also the consideration that someone I know digs ditches for a living, and has, even throughout this economic downturn, had to turn away business time and time again. He makes a nice 6-figure income after the expenses of keeping his equipment running and employees paid. And he didn't even graduate high school much less get anything after that that isn't related to runnin
  15. I'm one of those in the boat thinking that the next big financial storm on the horizon will be about how much the government has spent on giving folks college degrees that they will NEVER be able to pay for. I also think that the current "online degree thing" is a huge scam at the taxpayers expense.
  16. Saw a position a company the other day that required a 4 year degree, 15 years experience, and starting salary was $22k a year... DAFUQ?
  17. I agree, promoting aggressive driving, rear-ending folks, and hit and runs doesn't support their rant on other folks driving.
  18. I'll eat damn near anything, especially if it swam, wriggled, crept, or slimed across the bottom of the ocean. But processing a raw fowl carcass.. NOPE!!
  19. I was going to say you could come by my place for the same experience, except my steel is warm.
  20. I always drive in the right lane, because I'm not a pretentious idiot pretending to be British. Brake check. It's a bitch.
  21. It's not BS, they are supposed to last longer based on initial designs, but no one was willing to pay for the upfront costs on those designs so manufacturers cheapened the parts until the prices were within incandescent range. There are still CFL's out there in the $10+ per bulb range and they don't have the problems many of the cheap ones do, mainly with overheating ballasts. I'm using LED floodlights now that were in the $40 per bulb range when I bought them and they've lasted 18 months, on at night, every night. There's no warm up period and they use something like 4watts per bulb. The
