OK. That is a little gross. When a friend and I would get together, we would tell our little sisters to go hide and we would come find them. Then, when they would go to hide, we would take off and walk to Dairy Queen and get us a Peanut Buster Parfait. We were always in trouble when we got home, but we did it over and over again any way. Funny thing is, they fell for it every time. We pulled that stunt for years.

Red Rover is a game that was always played any time we had something going on at church. That was one of my favorites too.

I know that's right. All the parents knew each other. No one got away with anything. In Terre Haute, it is so flat we could walk or ride our bikes anywhere and everywhere. I have no clue where that huge hill in the park came from. It was the only one around.

I am curious to know what "summer" temps in Alaska are like? You had to get "numb" before the water would feel good. Woman, you are nuts!! Course, that is why I you. You always keep me laughing.

We did kickball a lot too. Right in the middle of the road. Always in front of my house too. The other thing we did, was on windy days, we would take our kites to the field next to our elementary school and fly them. That field was huge, and the I think the entire neighborhood was there. The school was directly across from the street from the 'hood. The other great thing was sledding down the huge hill at Demming Park in Terre Haute. I hope to take my kids there one day when there is a really good snow. Being here, they have never experienced a real good snow. I could

What were some of the games you played as a child growing up? Not video games, but actual "go outside" physical kind of games. Over on FB, I believe I have EVERY last childhood friend I grew up with in my old neighborhood in Indiana. We have been going down memory lane a little and talking about the old games we used to play. The games we played almost every single day for years, was "Kick the Can" and "Ghost in the Graveyard." Also "Capture the Flag" This weekend we have taught all of our neighborhood kids how to play both. They have had a ball. Anyone here ever play those

I am no good at making the dumplings. I make awesome chicken and dumplings, but I buy the already made Mary B's frozen dumplings. They are perfect. You cannot go wrong with them.

How horrible. My thoughts are with the family and fellow classmates and friends. -
My son was trying to stay home this morning. He goes to Moses, and called me after I left for work and said he had an upset stomach. I told him to try to go and make through the day since it was Friday. I have not heard anything else from him.

It's not working for me. -
Pfft...you know me better than that any way. Do you really think I could actually take a break for a night? NO! Not me. I went and picked up the nephew, went to Kroger, picked up hamburger buns, 2 rotisserie chickens and bbq sauce. Came home, pulled the chicken off the bones, put it in a slow cooker, poured the bbq sauce over it and will be serving it as sandwiches. Making baked beans and mac and cheese to go with it. My house is smelling so good!

I have a brand new battery and tires are still in pretty good shape too. I should be good. I was going to stop for hamburger buns, but now I might just make the kids go hungry tonight. After all, I cooked every other night this week. I think they skip a night, right?

CRAP! Note to self: Drive straight home after work. Make no stops.

Oh my! Next time I will try that and see what happens.

Thank you. Now teach me how to do that!

Meee toooo! That actually sounds really good right now in fact. Ryan's has been nasty for years.

I'm so confused with all of this. No one seems to be able to clear things up. Last I heard there was only one accident, she was in the middle of the road, 2 cars hit her and both stopped. I wish someone clear things up. Not people speculating, but someone who actually KNOWS the facts.

I just went and looked and it was a pcommer who posted it, but on FB. At least the question was answered.

It could have been on FB even. I just remember reading it this morning and have been on both places this morning. It gets a little hard to keep up with the when and wheres that I see things.
