  1. I just tried to send you a message, but it said you couldn't receive new messages. Can you send me a message please?
  2. Got any money I can borrow? New boots aren't really in the budget.... but a girl can dream.
  3. Me too!! I LOVE cinnamon. Not just the smell, but anything cinnamon to eat. It's the devil I tell ya.
  4. Or find an awesome pair of flat boots instead of heals.
  5. I know, right? I am wearing mine now, but just don't think it will be a smart idea for Sunday. Sure would look better though.
  6. My daughter and I will be there pushing around a little cart selling whatever the EPJROTC has decided to sell. My sister, nephew and my son will be there watching it too. I am so excited. I really want to wear jeans and boots, but I think my feet will be killing me by the end of the day. I better stick to stupid tennis shoes.
  7. She may just be backed up in the traffic from the accident. Sorry, I have my radio going instead of the scanner today so I didn't hear anything.
  8. I hate that feeling. It's a gut instinct. Something is off and you know it, but not sure why or what. It may just be something little, but you feel it. I hope the break down is all that it is and the rest of the day goes smoothly for ya.
  9. She is always cracking me up with her status updates.
  10. I agree! And she is beautiful too. Morning Lumak!
  11. CRAP!! I was hoping to reduce a different waste.
  12. Wow! These are some awesome ideas. I had thought about taking a couple of crock pots, but not some of the other stuff. I think maybe I need to go ahead and start packing now. Biscuits and gravy are a great idea. You can buy the sausage gravy in the large cans at Sam's. Mrs. B that recipe sounds GREAT too. I will definitely be making that one morning. I will probably also make some cinnamon bread one morning. ~S~ I am glad everything went so smoothly. That is my goal. I want to be able to take everything with us on Tuesday and not leave until it's time to come home on S
  13. I've only been through the one little tiny one that came through here a few years back. Let me add, that's all I needed to experience.
  14. I think it will be perfect. It's been years since we have had a GREAT Thanksgiving with so many of us together. My oldest sister hasn't been around for the Holidays in many years. Living in Indiana, they usually spend it with the BIL's family. And it will be like a vacation at the same time. We are all so excited. That sucks about the sons/husband, but at least you get to go and spend some time with them.
  15. I understand that. I don't expect a lot of drama at all. We just don't have much of that. We got rid of the drama queens of the family. :yahoo:
  16. Costco/Sam's is a great idea. Not sure my kids will eat any chicken pot pie other than my own homemade one, but I will be buying a couple of lasagnas I think. And probably get the bread and a few other things from there.
  17. Great idea. I figure with as many people as we are going to have, we are going to need several dozen eggs to make various things.
  18. Not me. We get along great and are lucky to see each other once a year. The cabin is huge so we will not all be on top of each other. Plus there is plenty to do. There is a rec room with a pool table and dart board, WiFi, a huge porch with an outside fireplace and a hot tub right next to it.... and it's in a gated community and has things to do all over the property. Here is a link to the cabin we will be staying in. My link
  19. LUMAK just posted something on my FB I had forgotten about. SMORES!!! There is a very nice fire pit in the back yard.
  20. Pizza won't really work because we will be staying in a cabin and not close to any grocery store, and definitely not anywhere that will deliver. At least I don't think so. Plans are to bring all of the groceries with us, and not have to make store runs. We want to come and just stay there. The cabin is already stocked full of every kitchen utensil and pots and pans possibly needed. All of the other stuff sounds great though. We may do a soup bar one night with those Bear Creek bags of soups. My family loves some of those. Soups and sandwiches for lunch would work great.
  21. The week of Thanksgiving, there will be about 20 of us together for 5 days and nights. We will have the typical Thanksgiving day meal, but we need to plan a menu for the rest of the week. I need meals that will go far. I am thinking the usual chili, spaghetti and potato soup, but what other meals can you think of that will feed that many of us. 3 meals a day for 5 days. It could get interesting. My BIL will be there. He is Phillipine and his family used to own a restaurant in Indiana. W Whenever he is with us, we make a big assembly line and make homemade eggrolls. We make h
  22. Oh My! You were either a brave soul or out of your mind.
  23. I have a sister that is back in Indiana, but lives in Indianapolis. I went there last summer to take her son home who had come here to spend part of the summer with me. It was nice going back. And how do you grow up in Indiana and NOT go sledding? That has to be next to impossible. Oh my! Now that would be some kind of poop.
  24. Jump rope is what we did at recess in elementary school. I could do some cool jump rope tricks back then. Not any more.
