I am so excited for Thanksgiving this year. All of my Thanksgivings growing up were amazing, but the past few have not been the same at all. Sickneses and deaths have forced us to stop our traditional ones with all of the extended family in North Carolina. This year, almost ALL of them are meeting us in North Georgia. There will be about 25 of us in a cabin for 5 days. My link Fire pits, fire place and hot tub on the porch, game room, and tons of other stuff.

Halloween is my one of my favorite Holidays.

Some of my favorite things I look forward to in the Fall: 1. Caramel apples with peanuts 2. Hot chocolate 3. Opening the windows and turning off the air 4. blue jeans and boots Add your favorites to the list.

I would just assume it was one of the many teens who come through here. Funny how my kids friends call me and ask me to fix certain things and invite themselves over for dinner. They have been asking for chili for a few weeks now. One reason I like cooking ahead is because I can pack some up and take to work with me to eat for lunch. Saves me a good bit if I eat breakfast before going and then taking leftovers with me.

Got up at 7:30am, came down and made some cinnamon bread for breakfast. Then showered, started a load of laundry, went to Sam's to pick up a couple of their big rotisserie chickens and bought a paper. Came back, swapped over laundry, clipped coupons while watching last season's finale of Criminal Minds followed by the seasons premier. Went grocery shopping after that. Now cooking several meals for the week ahead. Chili, chicken pot pie, chicken and dumplings, chicken enchiladas, and either spaghetti or tacos. I'm glad to see the rain, but it's also grocery shopping time. I hate loading the car in the rain. I am hoping for a little break when it comes time for that. It can start right back up when I'm done.

I have an old childhood friend who is a sound designer, composer and foley artist. He does a LOT of work for Nascar, did the CarMax Superbowl commercial music, Bojangles commercial jingle, Audi R8 and just a long line of different things. He does some really great stuff. We had some negatives too. I just chalked it up to being the first day and there are always problems to be worked out. Our flaming cheese was not very good, and they never could get it to "flame" It just refused to light. They kept taking it back inside and coming back out, pouring MORE lemon on it, telling us it just wasn't hot enough before and it should work now. they would try to light it again, and it still would work. The guy finally just sat it on the table and said "Oh well, it's just not going to work. You will just have to eat like that." and then he walked away. They ha

LUMAK doesn't want to hi-jack, but HER son won FIRST PLACE in the Individual Armed Exhibition SOLO!! AND her son kept a great eye on my daughter today, and made sure she knew where to go.

They had their first drill meet of the year today down in Hampton. My daughter is a first yr cadette, so this was her first meet EVER. She just called and the first yr cadettes won 2nd place. Not bad at all. She said the school won about 6 awards, but she can't remember what they were. WAY TO GO EP AFJROTC!! VERY PROUD, AND YOU LOOKED GREAT! Next week is in Warner Robbins.

The wind is blowing like crazy outside my window. I pulled up the radar and there is a storm brewing out there. So far there are only a few drops, but I am hoping the bottom falls out later. It will be perfect sleeping weather. I would like for it to hold off until my daughter is home safe and sound from her drill meet first, though.

I don't direct things at people on here too often, but this one needs to chill. Or get laid! Or find new meds... maybe a combination! This particular OP can find something negative in everything.

I will be taking lots of pics. Thanks for the reminder. I need to charge it for a little before I leave. I came into work extra early so I could get a couple of hours in, then we are going down there, and then I will work a couple of hours when we get back. Such a rockstar life I live.

My 3 yo nephew was up when I left at 6:45. He was standing on a stool, filling up his water gun. I should probably be glad I was leaving.

I have an evil internal clock that does not allow me to sleep more than 6 hrs. I only hear the alarm clock about a handful of times a year.

Now that I am showered and dressed, and I am feeling great. I know I will be crashing tonight though.

I made myself go to bed at 10 knowing how early I was going to have to get up. I was actually woke up at 3am by my son who decided he needed to wash a load of clothes and take a shower at that time. What is up with that? I am about to drag my tired but to the shower. I have to head out to work in less than an hour.

Had to get up at 4am to get my daughter to the school for her first AFJROTC drill meet. They should be pulling out of the school parking lot in 10 minutes and heading to Hampton. I wish them all luck for their first meet! I should also say THANK YOU to LUMAKS husband for volunteering to cook lunch for them.

Do you EVER have a single positive thing to say about ANYTHING? Just wondering... Guess we should be happy that you are giving police officers a break. You must be one miserable individual. It's not even 6am yet and you have already started. Maybe we should suggest some Anger Management for you.
