  1. I am at work right now, but will be leaving soon and need to go to an ER. Which one is the fastest these days? Tanner or Paulding? I really don't feel like sitting all day.
  2. I just saw this. Poor Gina. She has been wanting to try one of those "cream corns" for months. I bet the next time you go to Rome and get her one and bring it in, nobody gets it. So is the new job with Gina still going good? I am so out of the loop these days.
  3. Momof3 and Browneyedgirl, those were great. Thank you. KRM, I am thinking the same thing. Maybe a Sunday lunch while it's still warm enough to sit on the patio.
  4. Thank you. I think the same thing about you. Finally some people coming around to my way of thinking.
  5. Cause you know the child I speak of! BTW....I miss you! I hope we can all get together again sometime soon. It's been way too long now.
  6. I actually have something very big I have been wanting to open here in Paulding. There is no doubt in my mind that it would be very successful. It would not put all of Paulding's unemployed out of business, but it would take care of about 30. It would also not be a high paying job and would employee more teens than anything. I have been working on a business plan for a while, and have been doing a lot of work on it the past couple of years. Problem is, with this kind of business, it would take a good bit of start up money. I think initially, if I am able to do this later, I am go
  7. Can't argue with you there. And FTR....you people are NO help. I was so sure every one was going to jump in and be on my side, and I was going to show this to her so she could see I am not the only uncool parent in Paulding. Pfftt.... Not now!
  8. She no longer has a cell phone, and it thrills me. I do have a house phone that she uses, but I am seriously thinking about shutting that down. I would love to cut off all communication to the outside world with this one right now. She has been grounded for quite a while now and won't be ungrounded for quite a while to go. She is in the AFJROTC program this year, so the only things she gets to do outside of family things, is with them. Even then, I am with her a good bit of time.
  9. Sorry honey, but I won't be giving in. It's exhausting enough trying to keep up with this child. I am not adding to the stress.
  10. Looks like I am the only uncool mom around here. Of course, I think it depends on the child too. I would let my 11yo use the webcam before this child.
  11. Actually, this one did too. But she can't make it work for some reason. I am sure she will continue to try though. Looks like I need to figure out how to make it not work. So do your teens use yours?
  12. I was just informed that I am not the cool mom today. My 14yo daughter seems to think I should buy her a webcam for Christmas. Of course, ALL of her friends have them. Of course, she wants to know WHY she can't have one. When I tell her that there is no reason for a 14yo to have a webcam, she doesn't think that is a sufficient answer. She needs to be able to SEE her friends when they are talking. So, just wondering how many of you are cooler than me and allow their teens to have a webcam?
  13. It sucks. It was worst when they were younger and in the same situation. I absolutely hated Christmas for a long time. Last year was the first time in 5 yrs I looked forward to it. I still do this year, but feeling anxious about it too. Just hope their daddy is sleeping well at night. If he would do the responsible thing EVER, I would not be in this situation.
  14. That is so freakin hilarious!! Thanks for the story.
  15. I have been here for over 4 yrs, and this guy has been here the entire time. I love my co-workers and normally don't have any issues at all. My job is awesome. Sometimes when I have a lot of soups or something that I cooked the night before, I bring it in and offer it out. I will cook some brownies for everyone. I will buy some donuts for everyone. But I always offer those things out. When it is store bought food, and obviously not a quantity for sharing, then don't just help yourself. At the very least ASK. And for damn sure don't eat most of it.
  16. OMG!! I would have gone off on somebody I do believe.
  17. I would have to just bring in a special one for him, because I would NOT want to do that to the innocent. That would be baaaaad!
  18. I have no money to start shopping with, and don't see extra in my near future. My kids may have to wait until after the first of the year. Guess it's a good thing they are getting older and will have to understand even if they don't want to. They know it's not my fault and that I am doing the best I can.
  19. Wow! I bet that person thinks twice about taking someone's food again. The person I think this is doesn't have a lot of money, but neither do I. And if I really thought he was going hungry it would not make me too angry. BUT, this person ALWAYS has his cigarettes on him, and drinks a case of beer every night, so I have no sympathy for his struggles.
  20. That's a good idea. I may get one of those 31 gifts thermal totes. Those are cheap and they can put my name on it. I will just leave everything in it. Along with a note attached not to touch.
  21. I can understand that, but this is not the same situation. It was JUST purchased and placed in there. The packs are still in there, but most of the food is out of them. And we only have one shift, and I am here every day, 6 days a week. I leave at 3, and someone decided to eat it after I left, when he got through with his route.
  22. Nah...they're boring. I think I will stick to stalking you cause you entertain me.
  23. I would hate to be that person. That's some karma I would want no part of!
