  1. It's always a full moon at my house or at least that's how it seems!!
  2. We did that and it was fantastic!!!!!!!
  3. I'm confused as to how the budget will be cut in half when a new facility will be required to hold bodies. Whether the hospital or the Sheriffs office, won't permission have to be obtained from whomever you propose to drop the bodies with? As the coroner, can you just tell the Sheriffs dept that they will be the new custodian of all of Paulding's dead bodies? Also, can you make these changes on your own or do you need permission from the places where you want to deposit these bodies? It seems to me that the Sheriffs office has enough to do without checking in, caring for, and checking out eve
  4. I am SOOO happy that you and your Hubby will be under the same roof again. Don't get me wrong, we'll miss you, but I think it's a good move for all!!! GOOD LUCK!!! We need to have lunch before you go.....very soon!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I can't tell you how many times I've given back too much change and the last three times I did it, the cashiers gave me a look like I had grown a second head and they didn't even say thank you. Makes me CRAZY!! When I was a cashier and anyone had do that for me if I had made a mistake, I would have been more than thankful. Is 'thank you' really that hard to say?
  6. Yup, but what's the difference between cash and a diamond ring? A trip to jail I guess!
  7. When my oldest daughter was about 13, there was a story about prostitution on WSB. She asked what it was and I told her, she thought for a minute and said, 'So, if I'm of age, go to a bar, pick up a guy and take him home, that's OK. But if I pick up the same guy, go home and do the same thing and charge him, that's illegal'? 'Yep', I said. HHHMMMMMM, was all she said.
  8. Ya' know, it's getting harder and harder to teach 5th grader that 'policemen are good', 'policemen are our friends' when we keep seeing stories like this in the news. 'Police officer arrested for this, police officer arrested for that'. I know that bad policemen are a small handful compared to all the good ones out there, but geeez, it's very disheartening and scary.
  9. Best post I've read today. The real scary thing for me is, is that people are following and believing in this fool. How can someone be so very blind?
  10. I'm glad you're OK and it wasn't any worse. Idiots like this need to be off of the road. Honestly, what is the mentality of people who cause an accident and then leave the scene? Even if it was my fault, running off would NEVER enter my mind. Good luck!
  11. Us too. Hubby has been a member of IBEW Local 84 for 25 years and that $17.00 he pays per month has been worth every penny. Apparently different unions have very different practices. He has no guaranteed breaks, no ridiculous clauses about weird benefits and unnecessary silliness. However, overtime guidelines, safety rules, seniority issues, etc., are very clearly outlined. Only a few times in his entire career has the union had to get involved to keep his employer from doing something completely WRONG and normally these issues were about OT or safety. I hate that so many people have n
  12. I do know that the GBI took control of my sisters remains because she passed so suddenly and the ordeal started at home, maybe they do everyone else too. We just thought that they wanted to rule out foul play, which of course they did.
  13. Agreed, I'm thankful that 911 daughter was off today. Prayers for the families and all involved.
  14. Welcome to the club!!
  15. Way too young to be gone. RIP young man.
  16. Me too, I think that they were a fairly new company when I started using them, but they are great and customer service is excellent just like you said. The only issue that I have is that their cans are smaller, 96 gal (I think) instead of 120 gal that I have gotten in the past. But we just put out our own small can and they pick that up as well. I pay $45.00 per quarter.
  17. They go through our cul-de-sac and pick up trash every week and at least once a month, their truck leaks oil, coolant or some other 'truck liquid' all over the road. I've called, emailed pix and they discount me every time.
  18. Love Trash Taxi, they are here every week at the same time and have have never missed a day. Also, they have never left and debris in the street that may have fallen out as they were emptying the cans. We've been using them for over a year.
  19. IMO, Creflo is the least Godly man I have ever seen. The idea that he takes money from people who trust and believe in him and uses it to finance his lifestyle is reprehensible to me. I guarantee that not one member of his congregation owns an airplane of their own, but those are the same members that paid for his. REALLY!? Having said that, I'm very skeptical of just about any 15 year old calling the police and reporting that Daddy abused her, just because he was trying to keep her from going to a party at 1:00am. What 15 year old goes to a party at 1:00am? Do I think a 15 year old wou
  20. People often don't think clearly or logically when they are grieving, been there, done that. You think your behavior is perfectly normal and you look back later and think, 'Good Lord, what was I thinking'. Chances are, you weren't. However, I am a firm believer that when you are in that mode, you do whatever it takes to get you through the next moment of overwhelming grief and who's to say she isn't in gut wrenching grief? Not me. Until you walk in those very same shoes and you know what it's like, NEVER, EVER assume that what the left behind person is doing, is right or wrong. It'
  21. I just tried to buy the $45.00 deal and it says it's closed and is no longer available.
  22. So that time slot is going from bad to worse? EEEEK!
  23. I loved it too except I didn't have time to wait in the line, it was L-O-N-G! But they did have real authentic Nintendo DS and 3DS accessories, I'm going to take 5th grader back on Monday to shop.
