Do you love it or what!!!!!??????? I love doing laundry now, I H-A-T-E-D the HE machine I had, NOTHING came clean. A week after we got the washer, we went back and got a SQ dryer too. I can do 3 loads of clothes in the same time it took for 1 in the HE crap and they're actually fresh and clean. I've told Hubby 'thank you' about a million times in the month we've had them, I told him last week that they were better than ANY diamond ring I could ever have. That should tell you how low maintenance I really am!!! Of course, this set wasn't cheap but I'd much rather have them than any piece

I have one that you can have. I got it with my new HE washer a while back that has since been replaced with an old fashioned Speed Queen and I don't need it anymore. Let me know. I'm SORRY..........NEVER MIND. Hubby just told me that he stepped on it and it's broken and gone.

I trust my sons teachers to teach what they are required to, but I believe that if they were left alone to some extent and not given such strict requirements that leave them no time or energy to teach outside the box, all students would be better off. I think creativity in the classroom, even if you're learning about something you may not be so interested in, could be the key to a child taking something away from that subject. But time is so limited by what MUST be done, there is little left to the imagination besides work sheet after work sheet. Unfortunately, I think it's the administra

I love Leave it to Beaver, especially the ones where Beaver was 5 or 6 years old.

Exactly, we have always been the parent of 'that' kid. My son can cook, knows how to sew on a button, has been to practically every museum and historical site within 250 miles and can answer almost as many Jeopardy questions as I can. He knows the amendments to the Constitution and when we went to Washington in September, he schooled me on a few things. We've never left our childrens total education to the schools alone. But I do still believe that there are trivial things taught in school, not because of the teachers, but because some higher-up needs to justify their job by having to make som

I have to be honest and say that I have often thought that my kids will never use what they are being taught. HOWEVER, NEVER in a million years would I say that to them. They have even said, 'Why do I have to know this'? And I say right back, 'Because the teacher says you need to know it and that's that'. There have been many times when I haven't agreed with the curriculum being taught and I have thought to myself how dumb it was, but I'm not the teacher with the bazillion guidelines teaching my child and teachers need all the support they can get. And as long as they aren't teaching religion

When we bought our house, granted it was 16 years ago, we were approved for loan of $229,000.00. Luckily, we both had brains in our heads and said no frickin' way and bought a brand new, built to suit, 1900sf house with a full basement for $99,000.00. Then when everything started going south and people were losing houses right and left, we were and still are thankful that we didn't listen to the lender.

I agree. And if you don't do anything illegal and you won't have a problem. It's not like they can see through walls or your roof, so who cares? Not me. And by the 'you' above, I meant anyone in general, not you actually.

Yep, bunch of dumba$$es. What adult can't go to a party without getting drunk and stripping down? LOSERS, that's who. I'm glad they were fired, but every time they get out of the shower and see their big stupid butts in the mirror (literally), I guess they can reminisce about what a great time they had and about the good ole days when they had a job! -
My daughter and her Hubby found a great house to rent, they were approved and then they found out the deposit was going to be $3500.00. They turned it down quickly.

What a smarta$$ remark.....just sayin'. -
Yep, this is correct. My daughter has a 12month restraining order against her almost ex husband, he was arrested for coming to our house, he caused no problem other than scaring us all to death and he was out of jail the next day. Luckily, aside from that incident, he's obeyed it.

Those windows ARE amazing. I'm about to truly date myself, but when we were there lo those many years ago, I bought a cross stitch pattern and cross stitched the entire thing. It's BEAUTIFUL except for one thing......I CANNOT back stitch those windows and all the other intricate back stitching that is required for it to be finished. So, it has been carefully packed up for at least 30 years, yet unfinished. I've gone back to it a few times and tried to do it, but I just can't seem to get it right!

I've been waiting 4 years for any kind of discounts and there just aren't any. So we're going for our anniversary in May. I figure after 29 years, we can have a full price weekend.

I've heard waaay too many apologies in my life from people who continue to do the same thing over and over and over. Don't apologize to me, live right, treat others right and you won't have to keep offering empty apologies to me or anyone else. I screwed up and hit the wrong button, I meant to give you a positive, not a negative. I really AM sorry!!!

It's past annoying, but I truly think the more we complain, the worse it will get. If we don't bite, the fun will be gone and it will stop.

Besides killing an animal or another human, I can't imagine the kind of behavior that would cause this kind of an attack on a child. A-N-D there is no excuse for the 'grandma' to sit by and let it happen, she is no better IMO, I'd end it real quick if either of my kids were doing anything remotely like that to their kids. WTH are people thinking????? What does this child endure behind closed doors if the so called mom acts that way in in plain sight? Sad, sad, sad!
