I believe a pedestrian was hit in that area yesterday. The vehicle did not stop. -
I heard it could be up to two years before the can start hiring for other than public Safety type positions.

We had lightning strike a tree right next to our house and it fried a few things including outlets. I feel your pain in having to shell out $$ to replace items. We had to buy a new phone system, a Direct TV service call, a new electric dog fence and there are a few things down stairs we need to test.

I can't wait to buy a $10 bottle of moon water. Maybe there will be some coupons that can be doubled or tripled at Publix or Food Lion.

I can't get it to play. Anyone else having problems?

My next door neighbor growing up had 3 boys. Each of them were right at 13 pounds when born. She was a big boned women and probably diabetic too.

Hubby is trying to get home from windy hill are and all the roads he normally uses are blocked. I told him he may need to get a hotel room if there is no way to get in and out of this County without going 50 miles out of the way.

This could have happened in January and we'd have 60 feet of snow.....

No flooding but having issues with the Direct TV. I think we had a lighting strike last night so some cables may be fried. One of my indoor cats got out earlier in the week but found his way home 36 hours later. Glad he found his way home before this weekend.

We got a bigger pool and filled it up about 2 weeks ago and our son hasn't been able to play in it much at all due the rain and cooler temps. -
Sorry to hear that. I'm thankful for the rain but enough is enough.

You mean stop signs with white around the edge aren't optional? Seriously though, I have seen some nasty accidents because of people blatantly running them, as in not even slowing down. The blatant disregard for other human beings is deeply disturbing.

The board has become too politcal these days. You know the phrase about opinions and thats the problem.

Prayers sent. -
Just my observation but it does seem like we are like a disfunctional family. We don't always agree on the issues, especially politics and religion but if someone needs help, we're always there to lend a hand. Let's work on not being so disfuntional.....

Thanks for placing that image in my mind. LOL!

We cannot biologically have anymore. I still think about the options sometimes. I don't think we wan't to go thru the sleepless nights again but I do feel bad that he won't have the siblings though sometimes. I grew up without my siblings around and felt more pros than cons but my spouse has several siblings and they do have a good relationship. My mother was an only and we could literally do X-mas and Thanksgiving in two hours. My spouse's family holiday event last all day with the reminiscing etc.

What a slippery slope...... -
Has anyone used any of the Muzzy CD/DVD products for kids.? I am considering the Mandarin but have read both good and bad reviews of the product. Anyone used the Mandarin specifically or the French, Spanish, etc? If so, was it worth the price?
-
We have one kid. Every now and then we think maybe we should have another one. What do you think are the pros and cons of having one vs. multiple kids?

I was wondering if they were priced like Salvation Army or the thrift store on Thornton Road next to I-20. The last time I went into these places some of the Faded Glory (Walmart brand) mens and womens items were $5-$10. you can get them on sale new for that price.

Just think of all the lovely handbags and shoes it could have made.
